Barcelo Bilbao Nervion

My stay in Decembre 2024 was just as wonderful as it was awful. The lobby the rooms and the whole interieur is very beautiful and clean. I slept very well in the comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. The service and the breakfast were outstanding. The hotel is very well located next to the river and in walking distance of the Guggenheim Museum.
The down Side: in the night it sounded like the furniture was rearragend in every single room. The noise was unbarable. At 8:40 in the morning they started hammering and drilling. I could not relax at all. There is construction going on in the lower floors but it sounds like they work right next to you.
One more thing: the water in the shower is not consistent in temperature. In one second you burn your skin in the next second you freeze to death.
So after all I'm Sure the stay in this Hotel is a pleasant and relaxing one when the construction is done.

Stayed 2 nights for business. So many tourists and crowded especially at breakfast, could not find seat due to package tourists. No bath tub and room was not big enough to relax. Better improve traffic control at breakfast. Close to river to walk around, location is good.

I stayed here recently with a friend for a weekend in Bilbao. The location of the hotel is great, on the river, 5 min walk to the old town, 10 min walk to the Guggenheim and a 15 min walk to the main shopping area.

The hotel is lovely and clean. The check-in staff are just the right side of pleasant not to be considered rude. Whilst we didn’t eat in the hotel, I did have a beer at the bar and the staff were lovely.

The room was clean, with few little signs of wear and tear. The main one was the shower, which was good, but didn’t drain well at all. The beds were comfy and a good selection of pillows. They also give a small bottle of water each day.

My biggest issue was regarding the AC – they advertise the rooms as having AC, but this wasn’t on as they still consider it winter. So Friday, Saturday, and Sunday it was 32-35 – the room was like an oven, Monday the temp was 15, and the room was still like an oven and due to trying to get some air, we had to leave the window open and we were both eaten alive in the night with bugs.

I fail to see why they wont allow individuals to work the temp in their rooms, especially in a place where the temperature can change so quickly. They don’t have AC, they have a heating system. For that reason I wouldn’t stay again.
