Madrid, Hortaleza, 74 🧭 Map
This hostal is in a great location and fit my basic needs. Clean bed, bathroom, and shower, and privacy. It was definitely no frills and everything was basic, including one pillow per side and push button sink in bathroom and shower. The mattress is also very basic with little to no cushion. Would note that the sound has ability to travel from front windows, though that is the trade off for being in...
It is the perfect location if you want to be very near a lot of the popular tourist spots like Temple de Debod, the Royal Palace, Plaza de Espanya or even more locally common places like the San Gines churreria or Gran Via. It's near the heart of the city and simultenously its very low prices for the shared hostel rooms makes it the perfect place for people on a budget. Do not let the "hostel" label...
Fantastic hostel. Booked 2 x 6 people rooms for a hen do weekend, the staff were so helpful and friendly the whole time, rooms very clean and modern and comfortable, lots of plug sockets and own bathroom. Hostel bar / restaurant also great. Beautiful city view from 4th floor. Would definitely stay again.
First of all I stayed in a 6 room female room, It was very comfortable and the staff fulfilled my every request. Breakfast was a great value and very tasty as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm glad there was air conditioning at this Hostel. It was in a good location. The only issue had was a girl in bed #1 on July 20 came to my bed and touched me and startled me from a deep sleep....
A great place to stay at, Kudos to the staff, especially Dave, you guys are really good.
- A very very nice and cosy building. I felt at home inside. The beds are very nice, the AC works well and it is super clean.
- The staff is very cooperative. I arrived at 8 AM and Dave was very kind to store my luggage and allow me to use the washroom. Saved me a lot of hassle.

The hotel is clean and modern. Close to the metro station. Nice location! Near to the city!
I had a great stay at this hotel. It’s nearby a couple bus stops and the metro, which was very helpful if you’re trying to get around Madrid. The housekeepers were super friendly and the rooms were exceptionally clean. They had a very nice lobby as well with lots of areas to sit and relax. One critique I had was that the shower’s water would spill all over the floor if you’re not careful enough because...
We stayed 5 nights. The superior room is large enough for the 3 of us with my daughter sleeping on a sofa bed. The hotel is modern and comfortable. The breakfast costs 28 Euro which isn’t worth it. There is about 30 minutes walk to most tourist attractions.
I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is perfect — close to everything you need and very convenient to get around. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, always ready to help with a smile.
The rooms are spacious, modern, and very clean — you can tell they’ve been recently renovated. It was a real pleasure to come back to such a comfortable room after a long day.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Was a bit apprehensive with other reviews mentioning the disruption with ongoing building work, but found that not to be an issue. Straight out of the train station with direct access to all transport. Can access the city easily and there are shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby.
The hotel itself has restaurants and access to hot drinks. The room was clean and quiet and very comfortable.
I will definitely stay here again.
2nd time we are staying in this hotel. Located right at the entrance of the high speed train at the Chamartin station. This time we got a room in the highest floor. One little comment is the lack of plug in the room (to charge our phones). And also beware some constructions are ongoing from 9 am at the ground level and are quite loud. Not the hotel fault though.
Very convenient, it is located at the station complex. The room is clean and the curtains are effectively blocked the light. The breakfast is full of choice.
Good location and easy access to train station. Polite and friendly staff provided helpful support.
Friendly Staff great location, easy access to the train and underground. The hotel is very clean. Rooms are capacious.
But at the end when I requested a car transfer to the airport from one of the guest services which is only 10 minutes away, he called someone and he told me it’s only €33, but when we arrived to the airport, the driver told me it is €40! Looked like a scam to me.!!
Very convenient, great location and friendly staff. Clean rooms. Minimalist (I like it that way). Good restaurant and nice staff. Literally walking distance to train station.

I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. Always my go-to in Madrid. The staff are all exceptional, food, gym, atmosphere etc. I love recognizing good customer service. Gracias por todo! Nos vemos pronto 🙏🏽
Extraordinary personal attention! Rooms big enough, and very very comfortable. Nice modern sober decoration. Excellent breakfast buffet, excellent dinner restaurant! For now this is my favorite hotel in Madrid (and I am demanding for outstanding quality)
A beautiful new hotel. The room is spacious with a king size bed. The bathroom is luxurious and well presented.

I loved this hotel. I expected a lot before going as it is a Marriott hotel. I was not disappointed.

At the recommendation of QATAR Business Class Cabin crew, I decided to give this hotel a go during my recent transit in Madrid. The hotel is conveniently located just 10 minutes (by car) from Madrid International airport. The hotel provides free shuttle van service to and from airport for hotel guests. The studio that I checked-in to is nicely laid-out and functional. The front desk team is ever friendly...
The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport, which makes it great for short stays or layovers. The area is quiet, so you can get a good rest without much noise. The rooms are average in size and have almost everything you might need for a comfortable stay. However, the amenities felt a bit low quality — it would be nice if they upgraded them a bit. Overall, it’s a decent place for a night...
We had a wonderful experience here. The hotel was gorgeous, clean and impeccable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable. The location is convenient and close to some really good restaurants. They offer shuttle to and from the airport, as well. To turn on the lights, you have to keep your hotel card in the slot near the door, for those tourists who have never encountered...
Fine stay but they over book the airport shuttles. My mom and 2 aunts in their mid 60’s were not allowed on the shuttle they booked the night before. Front desk was incredibly rude to them, only asking them to wait outside without an ETA.
Good place clean rooms and very tidy. Thing that I didn't like, after paying €190 for the room, is that EVERYTHING is Additional charge.
Whwn you charge that much for basic room, few bottles of water shouldn't be extra.
O yes, HORRIBLE window view
It was great! The hotel is awesome because the prices are really good for the size and quality of the rooms. There’s even a nice pool outside. Breakfast costs between €17 and €23, but there aren’t many choices, so I wouldn’t say it’s worth it. Overall, it’s a solid place to stay!

Good hotel will rebook again next.
This was my second time staying at a Raddison hotel. The decor was very stylish. The staff even let me check in early, allowing me to rest up before sightseeing after just getting off the plane. It was a heartwarming experience. There were water dispensers on the floor. There were also capsule coffee machines in the rooms, which was a great experience.
Breakfast kinda boring.. everyday same food, can improve in this area.
The family room on the 6th floor was very nice, with a water dispenser right at the door and a sparkling water option. After completing this order, I have to praise the hotel and trip.com for their service! This time, we had trouble communicating with the hotel due to language barriers. The hotel is in a good location. Atocha Station, the Prado Museum and the Retiro Park are all within a 10-minute walk. The Reina Sofia Art Museum is just across the street and on the left. The room is clean. There are no slippers. I called to ask for them, and they were sent toe-thong slippers. If you are not used to wearing them, I suggest you bring your own. Great style and decorative 4-star hotel with environmentally friendly. The front desk staff are pretty friendly and helpful. Room size is more than enough for a couple even with 3 luggages. Practical and comfortable for going to the airport.
It's quite remote, and nearby restaurants and supermarkets are quite far away. The room key needs to be refreshed at the front desk every time, otherwise it won't work.
They should be more specific about whether or not the rate includes breakfast.
Check-in took too long. Bed mattress was too hard. No coffee maker...
I won't be back. It can't be part of Melia.

Straight forward hotel
Good for the location
We only stayed few hours prior to our early morning train
10 minutes walk to Atocha aprox
In the vicinity of the hotel few shops and restaurants
Landed in Madrid at 8 AM. After collecting my bags, I arrived at the hotel around 9:30 AM, and they kindly allowed us to check in early. The hotel's design is modern and stylish, yet maintains a clean and simple aesthetic. It's within walking distance of the train station. Due to needing an extra bed, the nightly rate was around 1000+. Retiro Park is 3 km away, and an Uber costs about 7-8 Euros.
The room was a bit dated. There aren't many dining or entertainment options nearby, and even Retiro Park is quite a walk. Its sole advantage is its proximity to the train station, allowing you to walk there comfortably with your luggage. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're just looking for an overnight transit. Overall, it offers poor value for money.
The breakfast buffet offered a somewhat limited variety of food compared to other 4-star hotels. For example, the only egg option was scrambled eggs, and some were a bit overcooked. However, the fruit selection was good, though it was surprising there were no bananas.
Upon entering the room, it took me a while to locate a power outlet; clearer instructions on their placement would be very helpful...
The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate. The three single beds we requested were prepared for us as expected. During our three-day stay, housekeeping didn't result in any missing items, but their service only included making the beds and emptying the bins. It would have been greatly appreciated if they had vacuumed the hair and dust from the floor. The bathroom and room weren't spotlessly...
Booked the hotel because of the location. Definitely provides option for you to travel on different transport types or walk to major sites. But it is still close to 900m for a walk from the train station. The gym is very limited and not maintained for a work out if you are looking for a decent work out.

My check in was made easy. My room was clean tidy and comfortable. The Hotel was near to everything.
Breakfast nice array of food, it's not nice though when the hot food is never hot
Hotel is well located and the rooms are average. I stayed for 8 nights. Few problems;
- The pool area is not temperature controlled, life guards apply very heavy rules, 1 small bottle of water in the rooftop is 6 euros, they make you pay 3 euros per towel, and there are not enough sun beds. Another company owns the rooftop so it feels like it is not apart of the hotel.
- Getting your room cleaned...
Centrally located, stunning rooms, elegant bath with a stellar rain shower, very accommodating staff - very responsive when we had trouble operating the lights and air conditioning in the room (we didn't realize you had to insert your key card, oops!). We even got to enjoy the rooftop bar! Would absolutely recommend, excellent value for the money.

Comparing to other hotels in other cities in Spain, this hotel is relatively good and the room was big enough, bathroom clean enough. It is a bit far from city center though

The welcome was okay, but nothing special! The pool was closed when we made our trip, which was a shame.

Spacious and clean room, front desk is ok, but not much amenities like slipper, complementary water bottle or coffee at front,.
There are no slippers in the room, but you can ask for them. The service is quite friendly and you can also go downstairs to ask for hot water. The hotel is old, but the facilities are not old either.
