The hotel was great value for money. Location was amazing with easy walking access across the tourist destinations. Room was a bit small. The room temperature was very high and the staff kindly listened to the issue and tried to solve the problem but still it couldn't get fixed. The only solution was to open the balcony door at night to keep the room temperature reasonable.
Perfect stay-excellent value, the staff was kind and helpful when it came to printing necessary travel documents, the breakfast was great, and the room was more than comfortable. I’ll be returning next time I’m in Madrid.
Nice hotel overall! The reception lady was very nice. There was a bit of an old smell when we came into the room. I’d say cleanness is 7/10. But it’s nice to stay in. Not bad or anything. There’s a terrace on the 6th floor but you couldn’t see the street from it. Recommend to take lower floors rooms. The shower was awful, maybe it was only on our room but it had go from hot to cold then very hot and...
Old school hotel. Friendly reception, quality furnishings, spotlessly clean. Only a couple of minutes from central Madrid.
Great location and friendly staff
Nice staff, clean comfortable hotel, really enjoyed my 4 night stay here and in Madrid!!

Absolutely excellent hotel in the outskirts of central Madrid. Clean and comfortable at a decent price. Has a pool but it's not always open to hotel guests.
Excellent choice located at the north center of Madrid. Very good breakfast, super clean rooms, friendly staff and close to metro stations in line 10 (2 blocks) and line 1 (4 blocks). Shops, restaurants and convenience stores all around. Very much recommended!
Hotel is quite old and worn down. Was a fine stay for a few nights but wouldn't stay here again. Many much nicer and newer hotels in the area. Nothing was dirty but it definitely felt very used which was unpleasant.
Staff is nice and welcoming, and the hotel is very clean. Need a little touch of modernity but it’s good overall.
Nice enough basic hotel. Beds are surprisingly hard and walls are a bit thin, but the staff are friendly and the location is convenient for offices around Nuevos Ministerios.
Totaly : Advantages are more than disadvantages. You should know it your card for your room to open always has a problem ! Breakfast is good but not great ( everyday it is same as before, nothing changes ) ! Location is amazing ( near metro Station and stadium ) . Also I had a serious problem with shower ! Water degree was changed to boil water then came back to normal . Cleaning service was perfect...
Breakfast buffet had a large variety of hot and cold meals. But it was the same every day. A bit of added variety from day to day would be better for guests who stay for more than a couple of days

Perfect location, near Plaza del Sol, amazing staff at the Reception (special thanks to Denisa), excellent services, vety good breakfast, everything just great! Love it! ❤️
Great hotel. Staff great and very helpful. Very well situated in the old part of Madrid. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. Good breakfast. Rooms very clean and well maintained.
Great hotel, perfect position. The room was clean and nice. Big bathroom and shower. Sonia, Olga and Nadia at the reception were very helpful and kind!
We highly recommend staying with the Petit Palace, the rooms are super conveniced and clean. The staff at reception and housekeeping are amazing. The hotel is located right in a super touristic area, near to many places to visit. Could be a little noisy at night time but you have a great street view incl balcony. Its the price you pay to stay so super central:) Restaurants and bars all over... In general...
Stayed with family with kids in quad room. The location is premium with major attractions in walking distance and restaurants close by. Staff very good in accommodating small requests and guiding us around. Breakfast was good with good seating. Our room was not facing the main street so not noisy. Bunk beds for kids were good as well. So happy traveler.
Good breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom. Very little room and reception area very little too. Very good location. About 200m from the Sol Metro station and nearby Plaza Mayor.

Roons were ok. Only thing is the housekeeper was too loud when taking out all.of her cleaning supplies ( vacuum mops etc) too much banging!on the walls. 4th floor . Not nice.
Excellent hotel. Everything is nearby. Good service and very friendly staff! I recommend this.
Wonderful hotel, extremely close to ground transport, restaurants, and shopping areas. Staff is wonderful and always greeting with a smile. Highly recommend staying here.
Nice hotel, perfect location especially when you don’t mind walking 30 min to an hour otherwise e-bikes cycles etc are avilavle, good breakfast
8 floors, kinda noisy... But really good conditions and amazing view ☺️ Nice people who helped me a lot. I manage to leave my luggage at the hotel before the check in. Delicious breakfast and relaxing space with a good view! The localization is perfect with a metro station right in front of it !
This hotel is very confortable, nice and simple rooms good temperature, enough space, confortable bed, nice bathroom. Good climatization,. at least for winter time. Staff is very nice. The living room (working space) is charming, very beautiful. Location is good, next to public transports. Goog garage available for an extra payment. excellent 3 star hotel, in madrid City Center. very good AC, good shower and has a deposit safe in the room, clean room. friendly staff, OK breakfast. close to a supermarket (Carrefour). Overall a great cost-effective place to stay for a couple of nights in Madrid
Great location, clean and super accessible no issues either with the room, the bed was comfortable, and facilities and breakfast were all great It's really great for anyone looking to explore Madrid and have a good base, and it's on 30 euro to get a taxi to the airport
This is my first trip to Madrid and this hotel is situated so centrally. The breakfast buffet has a good selection. Rooms opening onto the street have a very calming effect.

It was the best choice!!! Clean and in very good location if you like to be where the hart of Madrid is. Sparkling clean and the staff very helpful. I recommend it.
This is a perfect hotel bang in the centre of Puerta del Sol, and great for all the restaurants, bars and sightseeing. The hotel is comfortable, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I would stay there any time I come to Madrid.
Modern amenities! Comfortable bed! Good location! But, don't expect your transportation to drop you off right in front of the hotel. The road is foot traffic only. The room we had was "petite", not much room to move about. There is this crazy design on the bathroom door. You can see inside the bathroom thru it! We had to cover it with whatever paper we had. Located in a fairly quiet area the rooms are not particularly soundproofed from others in the same building. Toiletries are low quality but beds, water pressure and WiFi are adequate.
Very good, clean and comfortable. Amazing staff. Great location near restaurants and bars. Only thing missing is a car park ence 4 stars and not 5.
Clean, modern, good service and great location. Always delivers. Been coming Since 2015.
Food was excellent and good portion. Girl behind the bar helped to order from her phone in English as my phone was not operating. Awesome experience.

Great service, amazing breakfast offers and lunch choices. The staff was very kind, Marisa the cook was always so nice. The rooms were nice and comfy. Reasonable price.
We spent one night here with our dogs whilst driving from the UK to southern Spain. It's conveniently located just off the motorway with on site parking and a fuel station next door. We had conveniently located rooms on the ground floor. The king size room is very comfortable and very well equipped. I would be very happy to return here and recommend it.

This was a darling place to stay! Blanco greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcomed. The amenities were perfect, well equipped and space utilization was also well done. Close to nightlife and metro for easily getting around the city. We would definitely stay here again!

Location of thr hotel is what makes it one of the best hotels to be in Madrid. Jorge at the reception is very helpful. My visit with the family was a great experience. It is by far my only hotel to stay in Madrid. Lastly the 3 stars the hotel has should definitely be upgraded to 4 stars.
We stayed for two nights and had a huge room on the top floor. The lift only goes up to the penultimate floor, but the reception staff kindly helped us with our luggage. There was no view (except over the rooftops), but there was a little balcony area for enjoying the sun and the room was very quiet with no street noise, and the bed was comfortable, so sleep quality was excellent. There are many bars...
Not the best Ibis Styles I've visited not the worst for sure. Location is awesome! In Styles usually there is free coffee and a small snack at the reception, but not in this one. Rooms are spacious enough, cleanness is as expected!
Front desk staff: friendly, helpful, and efficient. They made a last minute reservation in a restaurant for us. Location: centrally located, and safe to walk around at night. The hotel is centrally located, a great base for exploring Madrid by foot. The rooms are nice and modern, although the Spanish region-based decoration can be a tad too much, the bedding is comfortable and the rooms are clean. Stayed in the suite for 3 nights and it was really worth it. 30m space with a bath and shower. Huge bed and okay-ish internet connection. Worth the experience. Breakfast is okay, not many options but scrambled eggs and pan...
I had to come here after I left my Airbnb due to severe uncleanliness and I have to say it was such a relief once I got into the room. It was so clean, tidy, and put together nicely. Beautifully styled hotel with rooftop terrace in heart of Madrid close to the Royal Palace. Parcs , restaurants, bars, shopping malls, theatres, you name it. Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Excellent for a 3 star hotel.
Negatives first: the room was quite small and in need of modernisation. The beds were two singles pushed together but they wouldn't stay together so it made it hard to cuddle! There is an outside space on the top floor but calling it a "rooftop terrace" is also a bit of an exaggeration. Positives: The staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. The location is not ideal if you want to walk or take short trips to the center of town. Very few restaurants within walking distance. There was a lot of noise early in the morning, which according to the hotel was due to the cleaning crew. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great. It is ideal for those traveling via the train station, needing a clean hotel to stay in.
Very nice and modern rooms

Amazing Staff.. great restaurant a hola made food... Fore sure I will come back
The best location to Renfe station. The rooms are renovated and cozy. Also Staffs are well trained and have hospitality.
Excellent service specially by a young lady from Cuba in the reception. Breakfast was excellent and so was the price. Location is superb if you are going to the airport by public transportation. There's a cab stand one block away as well. Parking was very easy.

Day 1 and so far I have found that the concierge is the personification of a raging hemorrhoid, the air conditioning only cools the bathroom, (leaving the rest of the room uncomfortably warm), and the fridge runs just slightly below room temperature. The door to the bathroom does not fit the frame which prevents it from closing. The parking they advertise means you have to pay them 25 euros per day...
Hotel is in a good location, easy to access subway. It's an old building but I expect that in Europe. So the room was quite small and we could definitely hear people in the hallway. Overall I think it was good value.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel for couple of nights. The bed is comfortable, the room spacious, the bathtub in the bathroom gives a nice relief after the whole day in Madrid's heat. The breakfast was good with variety of choices, from a continental breakfast to fresh fruits and basic pattisery. The only two things I liked the least were: - lack of soundproof walls / floors and room's door ...
Perfectly reasonable hotel in central Madrid. The room was clean and was tidied every day by housekeeping - a rarity in chain hotels. My only gripe was that the soap dispensers were not refilled during my stay, meaning I ran out of hand soap on day two. Otherwise a more than adequate stay - many thanks!
Great hotel, but unfortunately, we had a room outside the petrol station refulling taps and had a fuel tanker delivery at 5am in the morning, which made lots of noise and strong smell of petrol. Was woken up by this and had to close the window.
Had a 3 night stay with my husband and son. Room was lovely. Beds comfortable, great view from window. Bathroom was clean, great shower and good hair dryer. Perfect location for walking or metro. Would definitely stay again.

Was a nice hotel located within minutes of Plaza Majoré. Not a bad drive to the airport (20-30 minutes). In house cafe/bar is somewhat lacking in variety but good for a quick bite. Main dining for breakfast is top notch and offers many different options.
Sitting here in the bar waiting for the taxi to run us both back to the airport. Both by wife and I agree that the hotel is ideally located to all the local attractions of Madrid. The staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and practical. If, when we return we would at no problem booking in again 100%. Thank you for a great weekend Hotel Ganivet.
Warm and cozy, everyone was very friendly and helpful, have great recommendations for dinner. When they have a restaurant recommendation, they would give us that restaurants business card with the hotel's stamp on it and the restaurants would give us an extra treat at the end of dinner. The one day it was raining when we were leaving and try gave my friend and me an umbrella to use for each of us....
Very good hotel, seems worth more than 3 stars. Everywhere is very clean , there is a reasonably priced cafe/bar which stays open till midnight. The breakfast was much better than I expected with plenty to choose from. Would come again.
PROs: Nice breakfast, good location, kind staff, pretty rooftop pool area, decent value. CONs: Needs some updating, fresh paint, new bathrooms [ours had some mold in the shower and water damage on the bathroom door], the bed/pillow were basic and somewhat uncomfortable. The location is perfect! On the gran. I payed for a larger room and what I got is a room that was probably originally one big room that split to 2, became my room was very small and has some sort of a wall in side or cubicle in the middle of the room. It felt like there’s a room inside ours. We’ve complained and got a different room but had to wait 2 hours for it.
