Melia Castilla Hotel
Madrid, Calle del Poeta Joan Maragall, 43 🧭 Map
Facilities: Very nice and new, near a high-end hotel.
Service: The front desk spoke good English and was very quick.
Environment: The environment was very nice, and the hotel's decor was very upscale and elegant.
Cleanliness: Cleaned daily.
Breakfast: Very good, delicious, and plentiful.
However, there were unexplained deductions.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel has a beautiful pool and a decent gym workout room. The beds are a bit soft - would prefer firmer.
Would have been better if security guard didn’t stop me and grill me about whether I was a guest or not. Said they mistook me for someone else. Spoiled the experience of feeling welcomed. Happens I suppose.
We truly enjoyed our stay. We recommend this hotel to anyone that enjoys a nice swim and more relaxed stay. Staff were very kind and overall experience was great. Rooms are nice and showers are amazing.
Excellent hotel, wonderful food, so clean, staff very helpful & friendly…would highly recommend…the breakfast was amazing!
The room is clean and tidy, the service is warm and thoughtful, and it is not far from the Bernabéu, which is quite convenient. It is more suitable for business travel.
Facilities: relatively new
Hygiene: clean and tidy
Environment: close to the business district
Service: warm and thoughtful

A bit further from the city centre, but convenient enough by train. Rooms are big and comfy.
The hotel is spacious and conveniently located near the Prado Museum and Retiro Park. There's also a small Carrefour supermarket right next door, and the breakfast is extensive.
Very close to bus 203 for the train staion and the airport. Walking is not a problem for us so the location is pretty good. It took about 45 min to walk through El Retiro Park to Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. Palacio de Cristal is closed but the water feature in front of it is very cute. The way back along P.º del Prado at night is pleasant too.
The hotel was very clean. Despite the room being compact, it comfortably accommodated two adults and two children. The breakfast spread was extensive.
A/C that actually works!!! Fantastic breakfast ! Great staff. Works like a very well oiled machine. Good size rooms.
The gym needs to be better. It was the quality of a 2-star hotel, might as well not tell hotel residents you have a gym.
Plenty of landmarks nearby, whether you like walking or taking the metro. 30 minute walk to major landmarks. Well worth it. You can see the architecture Spacious room and a very comfortable bed. All the amenities you need. Well designed. The hotel and the hotel room were immaculate. Super clean. The staff were very kind and welcoming. Extremely helpful

Nice hotel and breakfast is great
Love the terrace for night view
Hotel facilities including rooms were not great.
The breakfast buffet menu was the same during the stay (3 nights).
There was no free bottled water provided during the stay, and the bottled water provided in the minibar in the room was charged (3.9 euros), but there was no price information.
Lovely hotel. Didn't do or see much as I was in and out .
Luxury hotel right in the centre of the Nice part of Madrid just off the Gran Via and judging by the names of the shops nearby it's certainly the best area to be.
My flight got cancelled last minute and this hotel was the perfect place to stay. The pool is beautiful, the bar is so much fun, and the staff is attentive. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a brief break.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Lots of neighbourhood restaurants and cafes. Lidl is opposite. Busstop to town just outside. There's a big park close by.
No kettle in the room though. Only drawback for me
Convenient location and excellent service.
What a fantastic hotel for our first night in Spain! It definitely set a high bar, as none of the subsequent hotels we stayed in were as good. When I checked out, I accidentally left some luggage behind, and the staff were incredibly helpful, holding onto it for me until I could return from another city a few days later to collect it. A huge thank you again for their assistance!
Nice space, but the staff makes a lot of noise every morning when they go to clean the rooms.
We stayed in Madrid for one night as a layover for our connecting flight to Porto. As we arrived quite early in Madrid, around 11 AM, and check-in wasn't until 3 PM, we decided to ask if we could leave our bags at the hotel. To our pleasant surprise, we were immediately assigned our rooms (two, in fact), which was a huge help for us to rest. This was excellent.
The hotel is well-located, relatively...
The room is comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious! Overall, it's fine, but my only real issue was the service. I reported that the air conditioning wasn't working properly – the room just wouldn't cool down at all. I brought it up, but they offered no solution, not even moving me to another room. In other words, if you have a problem, they won't fix it. And being in the scorching summer heat without...

Welcoming, relaxed and excellent amenities. Great breakfast.
We chose the hotel because it’s close to our friend’s house. The hotel is good, we wanted to try the spa, but it was not available during our stay.
The hotel is not far from the metro station, very accessible to go anyway. It's not in the city centre, but as mentioned very accessible. Breakfast is amazing, it has everything you could imagine, and also has special food that is kid friendly. The rooms are spacious, have water, tea, and coffee provided in the room. Really lovely stay.
Great location, great lobby and cafe / terrace, lots of restaurants around.
Hotel was nice with a great pool and gym. However, manpower may be terribly short handed at times and resulting in blunders, such as charging twice on my credit card for the room.
Nice and spacious room. 8 to 10mins walk to metro station which is convenient to explore the city centre.

City House Hotel Florida Norte By Faranda
Madrid, Paseo de la Florida, 5 🧭 Map
The hotel was kinda great. The rooms were comfy but not that big.
The WiFi wasn't really good.
The location is good, because there is a bus and metro station crossing the street. You can walk 15 minutes to Gran Via, so good location at all.
The breakfast was good, but there is a restaurant in the hotel that was definitely awful. 15 euros for an awful meal with a rude staff. Absolutely not recommended...
Characteristic as much in appearance as in the interior and fittings, but comfortable and with large bed, good view from room and plenty of hot water. Officially four stars and a slightly naff breakfast, but the reception staff were polite, efficient and provided the sort of service you'd expect at a five star hotel.
Suggestion:- ignore the complaining moaners that it's not ultra- modern. This is...
Stayed here for 6 nights its right next to the train station which is nice, there is a full gym next door, and they have onsite parking all for a reasonable price. The house keeping staff was great and the turn down service was done well daily, the room was clean. Although the bed is a little bit worse for wear.
Decent hotel. Plenty of small problems though:
1. One hotel meal (out of our four) was awful. Our fish was cold in the middle. When we told the catering staff, they simply microwaved it and bought it back
2. *ROOM* Fixtures and fittings in need of repair (one example: our shower had cracks and leaks)
3. *ROOM* No duvet/quilt cover; instead it was a "top sheet", which doesn't fully encase the duvet...
Old hotel but in a good state. Rooms are getting cleaned very well with attention to detail. Bed is of good quality. Also the breakfast was okay. The location is a great plus as it is very close to the metro and the centre is walking distance (30 minutes).
First of all great mestoraspolozhenie. Great place to stay during a short self-guided tour. The building itself is old, rooms are average, cleaning is 4. Opposite the building of the old North station. Now there is a shopping center. There are many restaurants and cafes.

Great location, just a few minutes away from the Bernabeu Stadium
Checked in on Christmas Day. The welcome chocolates were delicious. The hotel environment is very good.
We met at the bar. Fabulous atmosphere, decoration. Great service. Candy on the counter. Nice touch. A SHAME the "Tapas" were croquetas so cold and old after one bite you just had to leave it on the plate.
We had a fantastic stay at the H10 Tribeca Hotel in Madrid! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stylish, modern design and warm ambiance of the hotel. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel right at home.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated with a contemporary touch. The bed was incredibly comfortable...
The service is very good and enthusiastic, but the facilities are relatively old and the hot water is not stable
I went to Madrid with my dad for a game in the Santiago Bernabeu, the location of the hotel was perfect.
I was still learning Spanish so it was not that good, but the people who worked there were really helpful and let m try and speak some Spanish
There was a receptionist that I forgot her name, she was super kind, helped us get around the city and taught me some Spanish
The rooms are very classy...

This is my second stay. I still think the location of the hotel is great, and the staff is very helpful. I found this time the breakfast options narrowed in some products and expanded in other ones that seem to adapt more to international visitors. I would come back to this hotel in the future if I come back to Madrid.
Nice modern hotel with good service and right at the city centre!
Very good location and close to everywhere I'd like to explore in Madrid. Nice breakfast with plenty of choices.
Everything was great and the staff even helped us to pre-packed for our breakfast as we had a train to catch next day early in the morning ! Bed is very big and comfy too !
Trip.com has charged our room fees and we be charged again by hotel staff again when we hand over our credit card to pay the city tax, by his mistake. luck we found it before leaving and got refund. It is a lot of money.

Perfect hotel near the airport for early flights.
Location is close to airport. Offer cheap transfer to airport.
The pool is good, gets plenty of sun and has a lifeguard (albeit only opens at 11a.m). Shuttle from airport useful, runs late. Reception staff mature and professional.
I always stay here when I go to Madrid, I’ve stayed here on 5 seperate occasions and I love how close it is to the airport and it has a nice pool area!
Very convenient hotel near the airport. Was very surprised by breakfast buffet. It had great selection of food items, juices and coffee. Rooms on top floor are remodeled and had 2 small water and two cava bottles complementary. Good overnight stay after the long flight
Convenient and clean hotel. It was a short walk to the train station. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms had good water pressure. Just had a slight draining issue for the shower. If you can't get the shuttle to the airport they will call you a taxi and which accept card, helpful if you don't have any cash.

Not having a car, I had to go to the nearest convenience store, which happened to be a very expensive gas station. In terms of service, the drink dispenser was out of service. Speaking of convenience, the hotel offers a non-existent service for transportation...

A fantastic hotel, beginning with the warm welcome by the front desk and then the high level of service throughout my stay, particularly the breakfast staff. Great neighborhood with many terrific dining options. I could not have been happier with my stay and I will definitely return to this hotel.
Luxury in a great neighborhood.
Wow! What a fantastic hotel in a beautiful, upscale neighborhood. The breakfast was superb, bed comfortable and service great!
This is a lovely hotel situated in a great location for the metro and to walk to shops in Gran Vía. Just over 10 minutes walk to the Thyssen Bornemisza museum. The breakfast buffet is superb with many options available and in a gorgeous patio area. I would highly recommend this hotel for short stays.
Nice boutique hotel-but lacks attention to detail.
The good: Attractive boutique hotel in nice neighborhood with many cute restaurants nearby. Hotel excels in public spaces. Well done decor. Rooms quiet. Staff friendly. The not so good:Hotel rooms lack in some areas. Vanity sink area in bathroom is miniscule. Hard to negotiate. No usb outlets so charging multiple devices is a challenge. Hotel cleaning...
We stayed for our last 2 nights in Madrid. Upon arrival they offered us an "upgrade" for $50 per night to a room with a room with a street balcony instead of a couryard, which honestly I don't think was worth it. It's very close to the airport, and a taxi costs less than 20 euros. It's a little far from the city center, but there is a direct subway, so the price is lower than the city center. It's a good transit option.
The room was cleaned very well every day, with no disposable items. There was a kettle, but I brought my own and never used it.
There was no additional city tax, and early check-in was possible without any extra charges. (It seems like the room wasn't fully booked, but the closer you book, the more expensive it is; it's not necessarily cheaper if the room is empty...)
Conveniently located just a 6-minute walk from the subway station. There's a fast food restaurant downstairs, and the restaurant across the street is clearly popular with nearby residents. The hotel rooms are spacious, clean, and the bedding is comfortable. You don't have to stay in the city center; this area offers better value for money.
The facilities, service and breakfast are all good, but the location is average, but it is not too far from the airport and the city center. The room is clean, the bathroom is spacious, and the breakfast is rich. The only problem is that the air conditioning in the breakfast room is too cold.
The hotel is located near Metro Line 5, a 3-minute walk away. The airport terminal 2 is about €25. The breakfast buffet is extensive, and there are fast food restaurants like Burger King, KFC, Taco Bell, and an Italian restaurant nearby. The hotel also offers delicious and reasonably priced dinners.
It’s an average hotel overall. Location - 30min by metro to downtown. Metro station is 7 min away. Rooms ok but nothing more than that. They had iron that was dirty and screwed my shirt. Rooms are outdated need some refreshments. Staff should be more helpful or knowledgeable to explain about the transportation around the city. Breakfast - you have a lot of food but quality is low. Nestled in the heart of Madrid, the Emperador Hotel is lauded for its prime location, with guests appreciating the short walks to numerous attractions, eateries, and shops. While the rooms earn praise for their comfort and cleanliness, opinions on service and noise insulation are mixed.
The rooftop pool with stunning views stands out as a guest favorite, despite occasional overcrowding and noise....
Very comfortable beds. Bathroom is okay. Clean. A nice lobby in the very center of Madrid. The Sky Bar is awful… old school look, slow service, bad cocktails and even worst food. Really a downturn.
The location is excellent. The room has many amenities. There is a great view from a restaurant on the roof top.
The room was not clean. Found hairs on bed sheets. The bathroom had dirty towels.
Beautiful hotel and rooftop. We had a terrace room facing gran via. Beds were comfy, front desk staff was polite and helpful hailing a taxi for us. Only negative was our room was below the rooftop bar and you could hear the bar upstairs.
I had an amazing time. Pool was great. View was amazing! And most of all our waiter Manuel was one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. If you’re ever in Madrid I’d always recommend going here!!!
We booked this trip before COVID and have only just made it - family and timing just got in the way. So glad we didn’t change our plans. The weather was beautiful and Hotel Emperador was exceptional. Thank you Julia for an always warm welcome to the amazing pool and roof terrace ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The front desk service was fast. The room was clean although a bit old. I didn't try the breakfast. It was interesting to stand on the bus to the airport.
There are no slippers in the room, no free drinking water, no kettle, only sparkling water and Coke Sprite in the refrigerator, the service is very poor, the room service ordered a bottle of mineral water and it was delivered to the wrong place twice.
