Facilities: Very nice and new, near a high-end hotel. Service: The front desk spoke good English and was very quick. Environment: The environment was very nice, and the hotel's decor was very upscale and elegant. Cleanliness: Cleaned daily. Breakfast: Very good, delicious, and plentiful. However, there were unexplained deductions.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a beautiful pool and a decent gym workout room. The beds are a bit soft - would prefer firmer.

Would have been better if security guard didn’t stop me and grill me about whether I was a guest or not. Said they mistook me for someone else. Spoiled the experience of feeling welcomed. Happens I suppose.

The hotel is spacious and conveniently located near the Prado Museum and Retiro Park. There's also a small Carrefour supermarket right next door, and the breakfast is extensive.

What a fantastic hotel for our first night in Spain! It definitely set a high bar, as none of the subsequent hotels we stayed in were as good. When I checked out, I accidentally left some luggage behind, and the staff were incredibly helpful, holding onto it for me until I could return from another city a few days later to collect it. Really enjoyed my stay here. Was a bit apprehensive with other reviews mentioning the disruption with ongoing building work, but found that not to be an issue. Stayed here for 6 nights its right next to the train station which is nice, there is a full gym next door, and they have onsite parking all for a reasonable price. 2nd time we are staying in this hotel. Located right at the entrance of the high speed train at the Chamartin station. This time we got a room in the highest floor. The Canopy is a great hotel. Clean, modern and sleek. I totally recommend if you go as a foreign tourist. They have tone of activities like flamenco night and live music almost every day. On the other hand the bed was really comfortable and the pillow a piece of heaven. The only thing I did not like was the smell of the soap it was charcoal. The smell stayed with me and reminded me of a chimney.

This is my second stay. I still think the location of the hotel is great, and the staff is very helpful. I found this time the breakfast options narrowed in some products and expanded in other ones that seem to adapt more to international visitors. I would come back to this hotel in the future if I come back to Madrid.
