Melia Castilla Hotel
Madrid, Calle del Poeta Joan Maragall, 43 🧭 Map
Facilities: Very nice and new, near a high-end hotel.
Service: The front desk spoke good English and was very quick.
Environment: The environment was very nice, and the hotel's decor was very upscale and elegant.
Cleanliness: Cleaned daily.
Breakfast: Very good, delicious, and plentiful.
However, there were unexplained deductions.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel has a beautiful pool and a decent gym workout room. The beds are a bit soft - would prefer firmer.
Would have been better if security guard didn’t stop me and grill me about whether I was a guest or not. Said they mistook me for someone else. Spoiled the experience of feeling welcomed. Happens I suppose.
We truly enjoyed our stay. We recommend this hotel to anyone that enjoys a nice swim and more relaxed stay. Staff were very kind and overall experience was great. Rooms are nice and showers are amazing.
Excellent hotel, wonderful food, so clean, staff very helpful & friendly…would highly recommend…the breakfast was amazing!
The room is clean and tidy, the service is warm and thoughtful, and it is not far from the Bernabéu, which is quite convenient. It is more suitable for business travel.
Facilities: relatively new
Hygiene: clean and tidy

A bit further from the city centre, but convenient enough by train. Rooms are big and comfy.
The hotel is spacious and conveniently located near the Prado Museum and Retiro Park. There's also a small Carrefour supermarket right next door, and the breakfast is extensive.
Very close to bus 203 for the train staion and the airport. Walking is not a problem for us so the location is pretty good. It took about 45 min to walk through El Retiro Park to Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. Palacio de Cristal is closed but the water feature in front of it is very cute. The way back along P.º del Prado at night is pleasant too.
The hotel was very clean. Despite the room being compact, it comfortably accommodated two adults and two children. The breakfast spread was extensive.
A/C that actually works!!! Fantastic breakfast ! Great staff. Works like a very well oiled machine. Good size rooms.
The gym needs to be better. It was the quality of a 2-star hotel, might as well not tell hotel residents you have a gym.
Plenty of landmarks nearby, whether you like walking or taking the metro. 30 minute walk to major landmarks. Well worth it. You can see the architecture Spacious room and a very comfortable bed. All the amenities you need. Well designed. The hotel and the hotel room were immaculate. Super clean. The staff were very kind and welcoming. Extremely helpful

Great experience at the Palace.
Even if I only stayed one night, it was very pleasant.
Location is great and the hotel has all the amenities you could need.
The staff is friendly and the room is amazing
100% will return
First of all, the location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the Prado Museum and a 10-minute walk from Puerta del Sol, which is commendable. However, the room smelled strongly after renovations. The hotel also insisted on charging an extra €55 for bringing my daughter, who's under 11. This is incomprehensible. We've traveled all the way from Amsterdam, Brussels, Cologne, Frankfurt, and Madrid...

The environment is very clean and comfortable, and the attitude of the front desk staff is also very good. I highly recommend staying here!
The maid who cleans the room every day works hard and the service is good. Excellent! On the other hand, I went to the breakfast hall every morning, but the receptionist was so uninterested in his work that I couldn't remember his name even though I met him every morning for 7 days, and he had no hospitality, so I felt bad every morning. A real 5* experience just outside of the center. Due to its location, often booked by conference or other groups, which gives the usual tourist guest a bit of an overwhelming feeling. The reception is understaffed to my opinion, expect to queue and wait your turn. Nothing about the service though, the whole team is very friendly and accommodating. Dining on the 30th floor with its amazing view is a...

I had the pleasure of staying at Eurostars Madrid Tower for two nights, and I must say the experience was truly exceptional. The staff were incredibly professional, kind, and attentive. Nice hotel and breakfast is great
Love the terrace for night view
Hotel facilities including rooms were not great.
The breakfast buffet menu was the same during the stay (3 nights).
There was no free bottled water provided during the stay, and the bottled water provided in the minibar in the room was charged (3.9 euros), but there was no price information.
Lovely hotel. Didn't do or see much as I was in and out .
Luxury hotel right in the centre of the Nice part of Madrid just off the Gran Via and judging by the names of the shops nearby it's certainly the best area to be.
My flight got cancelled last minute and this hotel was the perfect place to stay. The pool is beautiful, the bar is so much fun, and the staff is attentive. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a brief break.

It was an amazing hotel!! Totally recommend!!
We had a great experience staying in the hotel. The location is convenient. The breakfast had a lot of options. We enjoyed the stay thoroughly.
Location is good. 1min go to metro station. The cleanliness is just so so. The service is below average, I ask for complimentary bottle of water for 2 times because 2nd day never top up, they always say yes, will send. But in the end never send. S$300+ dollar per night definitely not worth to it. Won’t visit again
Good location, nice view at top of roof

The hotel is in an excellent location. Lots of neighbourhood restaurants and cafes. Lidl is opposite. Busstop to town just outside. There's a big park close by.

Convenient location and excellent service.
What a fantastic hotel for our first night in Spain! It definitely set a high bar, as none of the subsequent hotels we stayed in were as good. When I checked out, I accidentally left some luggage behind, and the staff were incredibly helpful, holding onto it for me until I could return from another city a few days later to collect it. A huge thank you again for their assistance!
Nice space, but the staff makes a lot of noise every morning when they go to clean the rooms.
We stayed in Madrid for one night as a layover for our connecting flight to Porto. As we arrived quite early in Madrid, around 11 AM, and check-in wasn't until 3 PM, we decided to ask if we could leave our bags at the hotel. To our pleasant surprise, we were immediately assigned our rooms (two, in fact), which was a huge help for us to rest. This was excellent.

The room is comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious! Overall, it's fine, but my only real issue was the service. I reported that the air conditioning wasn't working properly – the room just wouldn't cool down at all. I brought it up, but they offered no solution, not even moving me to another room. In other words, if you have a problem, they won't fix it. And being in the scorching summer heat without...

Welcoming, relaxed and excellent amenities. Great breakfast.
We chose the hotel because it’s close to our friend’s house. The hotel is good, we wanted to try the spa, but it was not available during our stay.
The hotel is not far from the metro station, very accessible to go anyway. It's not in the city centre, but as mentioned very accessible. Breakfast is amazing, it has everything you could imagine, and also has special food that is kid friendly. The rooms are spacious, have water, tea, and coffee provided in the room. Really lovely stay.
Great location, great lobby and cafe / terrace, lots of restaurants around.
Hotel was nice with a great pool and gym. However, manpower may be terribly short handed at times and resulting in blunders, such as charging twice on my credit card for the room.
Nice and spacious room. 8 to 10mins walk to metro station which is convenient to explore the city centre.

The hotel was kinda great. The rooms were comfy but not that big.
The WiFi wasn't really good.
The location is good, because there is a bus and metro station crossing the street. You can walk 15 minutes to Gran Via, so good location at all.
The breakfast was good, but there is a restaurant in the hotel that was definitely awful. 15 euros for an awful meal with a rude staff. Absolutely not recommended...
Characteristic as much in appearance as in the interior and fittings, but comfortable and with large bed, good view from room and plenty of hot water. Stayed here for 6 nights its right next to the train station which is nice, there is a full gym next door, and they have onsite parking all for a reasonable price. The house keeping staff was great and the turn down service was done well daily, the room was clean. Although the bed is a little bit worse for wear.
Decent hotel. Plenty of small problems though:
1. One hotel meal (out of our four) was awful. Our fish was cold in the middle. When we told the catering staff, they simply microwaved it and bought it back
2. *ROOM* Fixtures and fittings in need of repair (one example: our shower had cracks and leaks)

Old hotel but in a good state. Rooms are getting cleaned very well with attention to detail. Bed is of good quality. Also the breakfast was okay. The location is a great plus as it is very close to the metro and the centre is walking distance (30 minutes).
First of all great mestoraspolozhenie. Great place to stay during a short self-guided tour. The building itself is old, rooms are average, cleaning is 4. Opposite the building of the old North station. Now there is a shopping center. There are many restaurants and cafes.

This hotel is an architectural treat! Stayed for a quick overnight stay and the quality of design did not disappoint. The hotel is in a really convenient location (near to a couple of metro stops) and not far from Madrid airport.

Imagine curating one of the world's most famous designer museums where people actually live in the artworks, and you have an idea of the epic achievement and difficulty of the task. Comfortable bed to sleep in but the framing jutted out, which we did bump into. The AC, tv, and fridge worked well. The hotel's facilities were good. Excellent restaurant and bar. I always stay here when I go to Madrid, I’ve stayed here on 5 seperate occasions and I love how close it is to the airport and it has a nice pool area!
Very convenient hotel near the airport. Was very surprised by breakfast buffet. It had great selection of food items, juices and coffee. Rooms on top floor are remodeled and had 2 small water and two cava bottles complementary. Good overnight stay after the long flight
Convenient and clean hotel. It was a short walk to the train station. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms had good water pressure. Just had a slight draining issue for the shower. It's very close to the airport, and a taxi costs less than 20 euros. It's a little far from the city center, but there is a direct subway, so the price is lower than the city center. It's a good transit option.
The room was cleaned very well every day, with no disposable items. There was a kettle, but I brought my own and never used it.
There was no additional city tax, and early check-in was possible without any extra charges. (It seems like the room wasn't fully booked, but the closer you book, the more expensive it is; it's not necessarily cheaper if the room is empty...)
Conveniently located just a 6-minute walk from the subway station. There's a fast food restaurant downstairs, and the restaurant across the street is clearly popular with nearby residents. The hotel rooms are spacious, clean, and the bedding is comfortable. You don't have to stay in the city center; this area offers better value for money.
The facilities, service and breakfast are all good, but the location is average, but it is not too far from the airport and the city center. The room is clean, the bathroom is spacious, and the breakfast is rich. The only problem is that the air conditioning in the breakfast room is too cold.
