Fantastic stay here at HL miraflores - very impressed,we normally like to stay in different hotels each winter pride but we will definately return here, no need to try others. We were in the bungalows at the back with their own plunge pool. Room layout absolutely fine, some toiletries included ( razor, toothbrush etc). Kept spotlessy clean by delightful and cheery maintenance staff. Had AI Buffet , the foid was wonderfully prepared, all local fresh and enough variation to keep us happy each meal. A really high standard for buffet option. Service staff absolutely diligent to any need and constantly clearing table. Bar drinks ,non premium but ok as were AI, few simple cocktails, self serbice draft wines, sangria, beers, and sodas. Entertaiment - we did a couple of nights there - both IVAN (singer) and KAPITAL (strength &balance duo) were brilliant , even cajoled me on stage for a try, loved it really Special mention for our reception host, tall man with beard - very helpful and understanding, we had to check in and out twice due to unforeseen issue at home. All in all will definately return to the well managed, well maintained and most enjoyable.

we have just come back from a week at Miraflor and it was really really nice. I was worried as i read some reviews the week before we set off and they were negative but i honestly don't know why. The bungalows are perfect. nice layout and spacious. We were in the older ones and they were clean ( a little tired looking in parts but it didn't affect anything.) the beds were really comfy and the cleaning staff were amazing. nice space outside for sunbeds and hanging clothes and for the kids to play. it looks like some of the bungalows have been updated, they looked gorgeous from the outside (i didn't see inside one though) The complex is beautiful. so quiet and pretty. There are a few peacocks wandering around which are friendly. it really was picturesque. There are 3 pools. It said the middle one was heated... but it still felt cold!! The kids loved playing in all three pools. There are no inflatables though, which was disappointing for the kids, but i understand why they're not permitted. Plenty of sunbeds. you never have to rush to get one, as there are so many. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Don't believe anything you read that says otherwise. There was a huge range every day to suit all, with some staple favourites in there too. I have a fussy child and it can be stressful at meal times. but there was always something that catered for him, as well as the rest of us who like to try different things and not the same thing every night. The entertainment team were great with my children. with activities during the day and a kids mini disco at night. As any parent knows, if the kids are happy, then everyone's happy!! A great family place. I would recommend.

On our last day of a last minute week away in the sun. Stayed in a standard bungalow as all the superior ones taken but was clean, well equipped and maids did a great job tidying, cleaning and replacing towels. Air con was included as it says on the website it not available but is and new, quite and affective. Wouldn’t put me off coming back if no updated ones weren’t free. Family of 4 with plenty of rooms. Kids enjoyed having beds and not a sofa bed made up. Nice to have outside space and patio. Food was standard all inclusive, always something to eat and snacks available majority of day apart from 3-4 pm when they clean the restaurant. We particularly enjoyed being able to sit outside and not being busy at meal times. Pool area was always clean , plenty of loungers with no early starts and always available and yes some paint flakes on pool but didn’t bother us as was tidy and clean. Entertainment was fine , always something on but we often didn’t stay for it all. Animation team did a good job entertaining the kids and we used kid club once or twice for an hour out of the sun. Play park was small but nice. Location was good for getting to places, taxis priced reasonable and reception that’s new and now open ordered them for you no problem. We would come back

I am writing this review in the hope that it reaches people who are questioning this hotel due to the renovations and the bad reviews. In the month leading up to our stay I was constantly checking for new reviews to get a real picture for what the hotel is actually like, so hopefully this helps anybody else in that same position. First of all, the accommodation was absolutely brilliant and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our bungalow. We loved the minimalistic, modern design and it was so spacious which made such a difference to our holiday. The TV's in the bedroom and the living area were absolutely huge, and we had air con in both rooms which worked amazingly. There was also some lovely little touches such as toothbrushes and a razor displayed in the bathroom (which was actually useful considering we had both left our toothbrushes at home!!!) The private outside space was lovely to have and having a bungalow instead of a hotel room made such a difference to our holiday - we absolutely loved it. The check in at the hotel over the road was no issue for us whatsoever, it is quite literally right across the road and they also gave us a welcome drink which was a nice touch. We stayed in the superior bungalow (renovated), and I must admit I don't think I would have been too happy in the older style bungalows, but we are a young couple that enjoyed the modern look so it depends how fussy you are. However, I think if all the bungalows were renovated to the same standard the hotel would be even more amazing. The pool areas are brilliant and we had such a relaxing time sunbathing there. The pool is big enough to do a few lengths even if there are other people in there. There was consistently free sunbeds dotted around and there was no issues at all in finding a sunbed - plenty free throughout the day. The entertainment was good and not too intrusive in case this isn't something you wanted to engage in. I played one of the games but in general we were not too fussed about the entertainment so were both glad this wasn't too overpowering. We also enjoyed the music by the pool, but can understand people may be irritated by this. Now on to the all inclusive, I have read so many bad reviews about the food and neither of us agreed with this. I personally never have too high expectations of all inclusive food and think some people expect gourmet meals when they book an all inclusive. I would say the food was actually a really decent standard for a fairly budget priced hotel. I am celiac and therefore am limited to what I can eat, and I managed to find something new to eat virtually every day. The staff also provided me with GF pizza, GF muffins and GF cookies which was amazing :) Also, I have read comments about the meat. I am extremely fussy with meat and rarely eat it, however I ate different types of meat every day on this holiday! The only thing I didn't eat was the steak, however the chicken, beef, lamb etc was absolutely lovely and tha

Reception - was at the sister hotel across the street, which isn’t too much of an imposition, however if you want to visit the reception team, which you will for the Jet2 rep and if you need the safety deposit box key. You’ll need to remember the RFID card to get back into the Suites complex, something you might not have with you if you’ve just gone out to the restaurant. Safety deposit box key is a middling price and deposit, can’t understand why in this day and age it isn’t just included, except to extract a bit more money from the guests!? Room - Standard bungalow is spacious, with 2 generous single beds pushed together. Beds are comfortable, the AC is situated in the bedroom but comes with a quiet function and as such wasn’t too much of a hindrance to sleep. Space to sleep someone in the lounge-kitchenette area on the couch, firm bed lovers advised. Kitchenette has a sink, “drip” coffee maker and 2 ring induction hob. A few kitchen essentials are provided, although lacking bowls. Be aware cupboards are high, my girlfriend, who happens to more on the petite side couldn’t reach some things. There is a sizeable smart TV which you can cast some things to, didn’t really use it all that much. Rooms are mostly well attended, new towels every 1-2 days, beds made up on a pattern we couldn’t discern, although you can “request” via a card on the door that it be done. Grounds - well maintained and managed, lush vegetation is trimmed and watered regularly. Between bungalows is cozy without being cramped, plenty of room to sit or sunbathe without being in someone else’s way. There are a wonderful collection of Peacocks (with chicks at the time of our visit) roaming the grounds, adding a lovely wild feel to wherever you are. Do watch your footing on some of the paths, due to droppings. On certain occasions we heard music blaring in from another hotel next to the sister hotel, but on the whole, beyond a bit of road noise it’s not too bad. Pools - (excluding the adults own wing of the complex) 3, of which none are adults only. Children were in all, without challenge and under the watchful eye of what we assume to be the lifeguard and a number of other staff. There is a “kiddie” pool with slides and water effects which we went nowhere near, another shallow pool which assumed was for bigger children, which we also didn’t use. Then there is the one furthest from the “kiddie” pool which we wrongly (?) assumed would be the adults only pool. This largish pool was in a state of decay, with paint peeling from the sides and bottom back to the concrete, collecting underfoot on the bottom of the pool with sand and other sediment. We never saw it being cleaned, but did not hang around it at the extremes of the day. A subjective question about the use of “fresh” water in the pools, as we could both taste salt in it every time, not sure if there is a state of less salt that falls within “fresh”? Arriving early at the pool side one morning we found that

Visited the HL Miraflor suites at the end of Aug for 10 days. What drew us to this particular place was the fact it was individual bungalows , each with it's own wee terrace area with a couple of loungers and table /chairs. This gave you the option of relaxing at your bungalow after a day at the pool (or instead of if that takes your fancy). We booked a superior bungalow, consisting of toilet with large walk in shower , living room area with flat screen TV and bedroom, again with TV . The bungalow was spotless and cleaned daily. Facilities included a safe (no fee) , microwave, fridge, kettle and a steamer. The bungalows are advertised as sleeping 2 to 4 people. The bungalows are all within easy walking distance of the restaurant area and pool. I'd say the maximum walk you'd have is a minute or two, literally. The grounds of the suites are kept immaculately clean and the grounds staff can be seen all day attending to the common areas. There are 3 pools , one for kids and 2 others with ample sunbeds located around them. We went to the pool most days around 0830 but even if you wanted a long lie, you'd have no issues getting beds at 10,11, 12 and beyond. Pool area is spotless again, thanks to the grounds staff every morning. The bar , located outside near to the dining area is small but allows self service for beer , wine , sangria and soft drinks (between 1030 and 2230) for all inclusive guests. A few minor gripes about the bar area. One being that given people head to the pool earlier (we sat from around 0830) maybe the access to soft drinks could be earlier? Having to wait from 0830 to 1030 when it's hot to get a soft drink is a bit unreasonable. The other is that not everything is included in the all inclusive and it really wasn't clear what was and what wasn't included. A simple all inclusive drinks list located at the bar would help this. Certain cocktails (pre mixed out a machine ) were free , but the choice was very limited (I think maybe only 3?). Others had to be paid for . This is one of the few places I've been to where I've had to pay for some cocktails but not others. I'd obviously happily pay for branded drinks (which is usually the rule at all inclusive hotels ) but would suggest more drinks should be added to the all inclusive list. After all, people are already paying a premium for all inclusive so in my opinion, more could be added to this option. The snack bar , which began serving at 1200, located in the dining area , was a bit of a let down. Hot dogs, burgers , onion rings and possibly chicken nuggets. That was pretty much it so we usually had to wait till 1pm when dinner was served. The food has attracted a few negative comments on other posts and to be fair to HL, it was fine. Breakfasts had your usual , cereals, pastries, fresh pancakes , fresh omlettes, plus a full cooked option of bacon, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, beans, sausages etc Lunch has different dishes most days, with beef stews, grilled pork, chi

Just come back from a 10 night stay here. The bungalows are clean and well presented. Maids are lovely. Lots of little ants in the bungalows though all around the bathroom sink and the kitchen area, had to put everything in the fridge so ants didn’t get in them but that didn’t bother me too much. What did bother me was the hotel staff (not the entertainment staff). We were half board and didn’t get any information about what was included within the half board at this hotel, we just got given the times the buffet is open. 3 days into our holiday, we sat down to eat our evening meal, my boyfriend went to get himself some water and me a cup of Pepsi max, when walking back to our table one of the staff members came over and snatched the drinks out of his hand and said you have to pay for those. He came back empty handed and the lady followed behind, only then did we get told that we have to pay for drinks at evening meal times, but not at breakfast? Which didn’t make much sense. We re ordered the same drinks that she snatched out of my boyfriend’s hand when she could have just asked for our room number to put it on our bill instead of being rude. This information should be given to you when you’re checking in. Not 3 days into the holiday. We wasn’t the only people they did this to. There were lots of people confused about the drink situation at meal times and the staff handled it so unprofessionally, with attitude. You could cut the tension with a knife. The next morning we brought our own drinks around the pool and asked for a cup of ice each. We continued to bring our own drinks to meal times etc… This lasted approximately 48 hours before they started charging us for ice! The man behind the bar was called Miguel, he was rude and argued with my boyfriend on multiple occasions. Along with who I think is his manager Sasha. We was walking to the seating area to watch the entertainment and stopped at the bar to get some ice for our drink. Sasha came behind the bar and whispered something to Miguel they were both sniggering and laughing. We was stood there for a good 5 minutes before we got served they was completely ignoring us, when we asked for ice that comes out of a machine by the way, he said his manager has informed him that we need to pay. My boyfriend and him had a bit of a back and forth and Miguel’s attitude was awful he was so rude. The nigbt before we was on our way back to the room, nobody at the bar we give up waiting and he poured half a pint for himself off the all inclusive bit while I’m looking in my bag to get our money out. Miguel comes out of nowhere sprinting at us shouting “you need to pay” and tried charging him for a full pint €3.50 and not half. We give him €2 which is more than half and as you can imagine he wasn’t happy. Every time we went to the restaurant area, the staff just gave us daggers across the room. Made it a very hostile environment for no reason what so ever. Overall the bungalows are lovely and enjoyed

We stayed as a family of 5 for the first week of the summer holidays. We checked in over the road which was fine because of the ongoing construction works which are going to make this a really nice hotel. We stayed in the “older” accomodation. Very basic but ultimately we didn’t go to use the room for anything other than to sleep and it was fine for that. Locking coffee making facilities / kettle I would say but you can wander to the bar for a drink. The hotel grounds are kept well. Lovely to see the peacocks roaming and their little ones. The all inclusive drinks are good actually, having been to other AI resorts, I felt the offering here was good quality. Poor barman was under a lot of pressure and could have done with some help as the week got busier but he was very sweet and deserves a pat on the back! The food is fantastic. So fresh, lovely variety, something for everyone. The pools are lovely as is the pool area. No sun bed struggles! Mini Disco could do with a little bit more - making a little a train going around to get the kids involved is always a win..!!! Kids club was good with lovely staff. Lots of shops in walking distance but outside of the hotel is not a family friendly vibe - check out reviews of the “Yumbo centre” for more info! All in all, this was a lovely place for a family holiday, well equipped, clean and you get well fed and watered and as the development of the site is completed it will likely have quite an upmarket feel.
