The hotel staff were very lovely and helpful. The room itself was very outdated. If you are not used to using French style bathtub DO NOT book this hotel. I wanted to shower not take a bath yet the water splashes everywhere. Also the carpet had red stains (blood?) on them i'm not sure where it was from. The hotel can be very creepy for people who don't appreciate antique furnishing.
The location is extremely awesome as the ski bus stop is right outside.

Amazing view at breakfast, staff were unbelievably friendly and willing to help, great location next to bus stops for all the ski resorts. I would definitely recommend staying here

This was a very pleasant stay. The hotel’s decor is very comfortable and beautiful. The balcony faces the mountains. The location is also extremely convenient. However, what I want to emphasise the most is that the staff here provide the warmth of a loving family, especially the lady at the front desk. I am happy to have stayed here for a few days.

My friend and I loved this charming hotel! Owners and staff were very kind, rooms were impeccably clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom water pressure was strong, and the location was perfect on the main street (took seconds to walk to the bus stop right behind the hotel)!

Rooms are a little dated and the little things would of been nice like a shower head holder and a fridge. Breakfast was a basic continental but did the job.
Staff very friendly and super helpful. Can't rate enough.

Good hotel. The rooms are complete with en-suite bathrooms. The quality of the beds is good and ensures a good rest. Breakfast is sufficient.
Best of all: the location, the view from the room, the staff and their service.
The location: it is in the centre of the village. Everything is very close. At the back of the hotel you can take a bus to go to the ski resorts or to the bus and train station.
They also have a room for skis/snowboard and others. Super comfortable.
As for the staff : they are attentive, familiar and warm.

Authentic Chamonix Hotel! This hotel feels like home in a mountain town and is rich in Chamonix history. I stayed here with my girlfriend in March 2024 on a ski trip. It is perfectly located to catch the bus to ski, walk the streets of Chamonix after a day on the slopes and walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Cham. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Old and charming building that shows its age a bit, but it is still in good condition and everything was conspicuously clean. The room was large (quite a bit larger than a newer, 3-star hotel in Argèntiere we stayed in later in the week). The location absolutely cannot be beat—right in the middle of the Chamonix high street, walking distance to everything you could want, and the “Chamonix Centre” bus stop is literally out the back door (made for easy mornings and short walks in ski boots with ski bus access). The staff were courteous, helpful and patient with our lack of French. The breakfast is also worth a mention—at 12€ for a fresh array of breads, pastries, cheese, meat and fresh eggs—we never left for a day of adventure hungry.
Overall, will definitely be back to Hotel Richemond and would recommend it to anyone looking for charm, value and location in Cham!

I had an amazing experience at Hotel Richemond. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Its an older hotel with a lot of history and charm. I also met the owner Claire who briefly told me the history of the hotel.
The location was perfect—central chamonix, making it easy to explore the area. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable.
