Hotel De Seine

Our first stay at Hotel De Seine and we were delighted. We are fans of the Saint-Germain/6th arrondissement for its perfect Paris location, central to everything we love - The Louvre, Notre Dame, Jardin des Tuileries, and more. The Hotel De Seine is perfectly situated just minutes walks from each of these, with excellent access to Metro stations (We preferred Odeon). Be sure to get a Navigo card to ride Metro anywhere you want to go - and you can load it every day using your smart phone! We did it each morning from our hotel room. As an added treat, we were steps away from the lively Rue de Buci and spent many of our eight nights jumping from convivial cafe to cafe. (A nod to our go-to, Cafe Jade.) Hotel De Seine is close to the Rue de Buci market and there is a pharmacy located across the street from the front door. Our room at Hotel De Seine was one of the Deluxe rooms and it did not disappoint. It was a 6th floor room with a "courtyard" view of neighboring Paris rooftops and a peek-a-boo of the Eiffel Tower tip which would glitter/wink at us each night. (We were not expecting any view - so this was fine with us.) The King bed was very comfortable, especially after walking the miles we did each day (Louvre, Montmartre, Disneyland, with a day trip to Berlin, Germany). Our heads hit the soft pillows and we were gone. The flat-screen TV did not get used much. But when we did watch, the pictures and channel selections were good. The room was quiet, perhaps owing to the fact that we were there in late April/early May, the summer crowds had not yet descended on Paris. The very small lift will be memorable for you: basically two people, or one person plus luggage. It never bothered us. It was part of the hotel's charm. Speaking of charm, the hotel staff is what makes the Hotel De Seine shine. Our encounters at the front desk were most pleasurable, from the greeting to our bittersweet goodbye. Special thanks to Pasqua, who is one of the hotel's best conversationalists, along with Robin, with whom we spent many an evening talking about our days in and around Paris. The people are as pleasant as the hotel. There is a very comfortable sitting/reading room off the main lobby which we used to just take a break between one stop and the next, equipped with healthy WiFi for sending texts and pictures to friends and family. PS: The WiFi in the rooms was equally good. Breakfast was served each day, although we did not partake because we mostly had other plans - but starting around 5am you could smell the pastries in the oven. Next time we'll surely leave time for that. And, yes, there will be a next time. We found our Paris hotel. Thank you, everyone, at Hotel De Seine for a memorable eight days. Incroyable!

A charming hotel on the most beautiful street in Paris: artwork and galleries abound. Also Karl Lagerfeld's former home is a few doors down as is La Palette, the most perfect cafe, frequented by the most beautiful actors, models and philosophers. Honestly, it was a dream come true. We go to Paris often--a few times each year and this hotel was a new "find". Indeed it is. The staff is disarmingly helpful and friendly. My husband did not care for the shower, but it is typical of Parisian bath shower arrangements where the space is not fully enclosed. I, on the other had, adored having bubble baths. In the breakfast room, there is one coveted table by the window and the others are all fine too. But I am sure there are those (us) who arise extra early just to get this table. The breakfasts are superb. The bar or cocktail area room in the front is so elegant and comfortable with a spectacular pink chandelier. I cannot think of another place more perfect than the Hotel de Seine. Close to everything that one might ever care about: museums, the Seine, wonderful restaurants, the buzz of happy people all around. And art and fashion. Need I say more?!

Fabulous Hotel, beautifully old-fashioned in an Italian style. Calm cozy bedrooms with baths to relax. The location is spot on. The staff are perfect. A great find!

Hotel de Seine and its staff were absolutely fantastic! Great location to walk to so much but easy to catch the metro or grab a bike if you need to go a little farther out. The best part might have been waking up to the smell of freshly baked in-house croissants every morning! 🤤

It was such a lovely to stay in that hotel. We stayed for two nights. Room was very comfortable and quite spacious for central Paris. Staff members at reception was soo friendly, they helped us with restaurants recommendations and booking as well as with suggestions of easiest way to get to airport (it was strike days). I highly recommend this hotel, location is incredible, bed comfortable. For the next time in Paris we know where will we stay!

For our first ever hotel in Paris and France in general, this was a great way to start! The location was incredible, customer service was delightful, and rooms were clean, comfortable and lovely. Definitely gave me the Parisian feel I was hoping for and literally waking up to the smell of croissants in the morning was a dream! Would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel to everyone!

My daughter and I just stayed at this hotel for 9 days and could not have been happier. The location is excellent, the staff unfailingly gracious, the hotel charming and immaculately clean. Our cozy, pretty room was also very quiet—a pleasant surprise given how busy the neighborhood is. A perfect Paris experience.

Love this hotel and the staff! We were moved to the Hotel de Seine because our scheduled hotel had an elevator issue. This staff was so amazing, so gracious. We checked in today and there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us due to the last minute hotel change. So thoughtful! Hotel is beautiful, cozy, extremely clean and charming. The staff is amazing!!
