Good value for money, stuff was nice and the restaurant had very nice food. Our room could have a better view, and the fact that the sink was outside of the restroom was a bit uncomfortable. We arrived at diana appt in agia pelagia, and then Heleni received us as if we were old friends. The studios give an incredible view at 30m from the sea with a feeling of being alone in the world. I was with my family in Aquarius Hotel in 2019 in Juni. Now is everything different. This year we were in July. Its no more apartaments! Its real Hotel! . For me is more than 3 stars. Everything excellent. Staff, pool, breakfast . I recommend this hotel for everybody: family, couples, singles, etc.

I was in the Aquarius Hotel 10 days. It was my 3 th. stay in Kreta. This time was the most wonderfull. The hotel is very clean, very close to the beach. The staff is very helpfull. We had an incredible stay at Aquarius with an amazing host Ilias was very kind and helpful he had an open eye for the guests.. the room was quite big and clean!! The pool area was lovely decorated and last the European breakfast was perfect I ate a great omelet!👌🔝

The room is small, bath also. The view is in the hill, no view just 2m. The pool is on top of the hill and the stairs are recessed in hill. It is far f from down town with all history. And on the evening a lot of crickets-like singing loud.

We had a beautiful room with a small kitchen and a big balcony. A small hob was supplied for cooking. The receptionists were always very friendly and took care of all our requests. The beach is just a minute away.

A wonderful week at Castro hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff is kind and helpful whenever is needed. Food is fresh and delicious. Everyone is smiling and it is the perfect location for families. It’s easy to get to the hotel from the airport, just tell the taxi drivers the hotel name and they’ll know. Ride was 30€. You can also order taxi at the reception for a specific time during your departure, same price. You can extend your checkout if needed. We originally booked to stay at another hotel in the area and were redirected here last minute - so we were a little worried as we didn’t pick it ourselves! However the rooms are very modern and newly renovated. We found the double bed comfy too, which was a relief! Many reviews said they were two singles pushed together and always split with a gap down the middle - but ours was a proper double bed...

We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and had a very positive experience. The location is 2 minutes walk to a big beach. Many delicious restaurants are within easy walking distance. Public buses to the big city and Knossos Palace come regularly and stop in front of the hotel. The room was kept very clean. Breakfast was delicious with small local pastries as an extra. The balcony was far too narrow, and there was only one folding chair that fit across the room, so it was impossible to chill on the balcony in the evening for two. The shower was very small and the water spilled out. Otherwise, everything was great. The staff was really friendly. Everything was close: a supermarket, a restaurant, and a café, and it was only about 3 minutes to the beach.

Nice hotel, room was pretty but the bathroom was far too small. Toilet impossible to use due to space. Owner is nice but cleaners talk about you behind your back. Breakfast poor quality all the food was cold.

Simple yet very clean and nice accomodations. Nice and upgraded modern bathroom. Big swimming pool with a lovely garden area around it. All of the staff were so warm and welcoming and helpful. We had a day room before our late flight departure. The hotel definitely needs reservations. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious. We really liked the pool, probably the best pool for doing laps in the area. There is plenty of parking. Also not far from the beach and few of restaurants in the vicinity. A real value for money.

A perfect location with a sandy beach right out the back door. There is a nice sized pool out back. The breakfast is wonderful. The rooms are clean and the staff are more than happy to look after your every need. Friendly reception. Clean rooms. Rather small balcony. The bus stop is in front of the hotel, easy to get to the city centre (bus 1 and 20) and back (bus 6). Supermarket over the street. Short walk to the public beach. The best advantage were early breakfast hours (7-10). The pool was also nice, not many people there and suprisingly I couldn't hear the traffic from the street that much.

We came to this hotel for 4 nights due to our easy jet flight being cancelled. Our first room was extremely basic and not the nicest but did the job for an emergency room. We then found we needed to be here for another 3 nights. The man at the reception was extremely helpful with getting hold of easy jet etc and securing us a place to stay for the next 3 nights. We stayed at Vanisko Hotel for 3 nights. Everything about our experience was wonderful. The buffet breakfast was magnificent - fruit, vegetables, cheese, pastries, coffee, juice all the best quality. Everyone including the bar tenders, chefs, receptionists, and manger were wonderful to us. Should be 10 stars not five. Definitely the place to stay when in Heraklion.

Our flight was cancelled due to technical issues in UK traffic control. At 2 am the hotel quickly roomed 180 guests. Not knowing when flights would be the hotel allowed us to remain in our rooms until 00.30 the next morning. Check out should have been 12 noon. They were very friendly efficient and helpful. We were moved here by TUI after our flight was cancelled and after initially being put in a 5* resort the night before, a resort that had refused us any food and drink when we arrived (late at night) without a very steep cost. The Vanisko Hotel isn't located in the best area agreed, and yes your passports are kept by reception until you check out, however, we were all given rooms for the afternoon...

Lovely hotel got moved very quickly on arrival to a new room due to noise. Food was very good although main coffee machine awful ask for the bean coffee behind the counter. It was quite on arrival which was nice but not enough seats or sunbeds when it got busier. Staff very friendly and work very hard.

We spent 10 days at the Peninsula Hotel in early October 2024 as a family with our two sons, aged 10 and 13. The hotel on the cliff offers a breathtaking view of the stunning nearby bays. A beautiful hotel, centrally located close to the beach. Everything is very well maintained here, very, very quiet. We are more than just positively surprised at what a lovely hotel is hidden here. Very stylish and nice hotel, good bed and pillow. Breakfast was super and staff were very friendly. There is two nice pool areas, although water was very cold this time of year. There is many stairs in the hotel area and no lift and smoking is allowed pool area. .

The accomodation does not miss anything. The dedication and kindness the staff puts into practice is of the highest standard. The cuisine is excellent and the general atmosphere very cosy. Even though it was low season, the overall impression was very good. Very recommendable!

The stay at this hotel was exceptional. The location is very beautiful and the atmosphere was amazing. The staff was super attentive, friendly and it felt like a family to us.
