Hestia - Alexandras 38 Apart-hotel

This place was absolutely amazing, insanely clean even for Canadian standards, spacious, and close to everything. We were a little nervous about the graffiti in the local area but that's everywhere. Like literally everywhere in Athens. The park across the street was a nice place to let our kids run around. They have a really nice breakfast menu you can order food from the night before. They accommodated us with luggage storage and laundry even though we had already checked out. Reception is available to help 24 hours a day with no blackout periods. The cleaning staff was so nice that they even helped us with the laundry machine when they saw us struggling with it. Building, room, storage and amenity access was all provided through our individual code so there wasn't a need to carry around an extra pair of keys. They made us feel like important guests. My only regret is not booking them for the remainder of our trip in Athens. I posted some pictures of the view from the rooftop where you can see the Pantheon. And it's lit up at night unfortunately I didn't take any night pictures.

Rooms are very clean and confortable, you can find everything you need in the kitchen and in the bathroom except slippers:). If they put slippers in the rooms it would be wonderful..We stayed 4 nights, cleaning was made on the second day as they have informed. The place of the hotel is 20 minutes away from the center by foot. We didn't see any people in charge but they instantly reply you when you write them from WhatsApp..we were happy that we stayed there..

Hestia is Athens best hotel group. We have stayed here many short stays. We have tested every thing a hotel normally fail on.

Service and flexibility is ON POINT. This bit of Athens nothing is better. Stop looking.

Amazing room to stay in! The balcony, inside and everything was gorgeous! We got to see the statue of Athena from our view. They are quick to respond when you need something and also great place to stay for 3. The location of it was convenient for us but the outside next doors were pretty ghetto lol. Overall, I loved it.

Was a bit nervous at first with the surrounding area covered in graffiti, but soon realized that is somewhat standard for this entire area. Once we were in our room all the nerves went away, very spacious and comfortable layout, with obviously recent upgrades everywhere. Fully functional kitchen and on-site laundry made this perfect for a family of four, and the A/C was in perfect working condition (we were there during a heatwave). Even when we had an issue with the plumbing, someone was sent out right away and the problem fixed, exceptional house cleaning services by any standards. The one thing I would warn someone is be sure to have your door code ready, there is not a front desk. If we travel back to Athens this will be where we stay again

The good:
-- not too tourist
-- 5 minute walk to Ariston Bakery and a fruit stand
-- accommodations generally clean and safe
-- cleaning staff is wonderful


The not so good:
-- concierge is not available 9 PM to 9AM, but this is not stated anywhere on the premises. It's one line in the email confirmation that I didn't see, but there's a QR code in the room that links to a concierge site which is largely available via WhatsApp, and the times are not listed anywhere.
-- there was a 2 inch American cockroach in my unit. It was actually in my living/kitchen area but I chased it into the bathroom.
-- the thermostat in our living/kitchen area didn't work and was stuck at 29 degrees Celcius

Convenient transportation, large room

The room is spacious and clean, and the facilities are as good as new. The only drawback is that the sound insulation is a bit poor. There is a busy road in front of the hotel downstairs. The noise of traffic is not endless and it is a bit noisy in the middle of the night. In addition, it can accommodate three people, but there is no quilt for the third person.
