Kalyves Beach Hotel

Kalyves is not a place overflowing with tourists, but rather a location recommended for quiet and peaceful relaxation. Within half an hour by car, you can reach many wonderful sights. The hotel staff is very friendly, everyone speaks English, and they are happy to help with anything. I would especially highlight the evening programs starting at 8:30 PM, as well as the children’s entertainment throughout the day. The rooms are large and clean, and the food is delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend it for families.

I would like to highly recommend the hotel. We often travel to Crete, and this was our first time staying at this hotel. I think we will come here again next time.

First of all, the hotel is just the right size, not too big and not too small, and it has everything you need. The beach is right by the hotel, there’s a beautiful river, and we sometimes walked to a nearby beach with kids, it took about 7 minutes by foot. There were no waves there at all, perfect for children.

Secondly, the hotel staff is very friendly and always helped us.

I especially want to praise the animator, Iva, who seems to speak every language in the world. She engaged with the children by painting on t-shirts, drawing, molding clay, and dancing at the mini disco. For adults, she conducted aqua aerobics. This is a great example of someone that truly loves her job.

The children were absolutely delighted.

Kalyves beach hotel is a great place to stay, the room was spacious, bright and really clean. We went for the all inclusive plus package which got us some great extra benefits and was definitely worth the small extra cost. We got a free upgrade to a superior sea view room, discounts on spa treatments (which though I didn’t get I was told weee heavenly!), all you can drink cocktails and premium alcohol and more. The food was varied and suited all tastes, on a buffet style which for me was very dangerous and led to eating way to much, thankfully Iva the animator helps you to wear off the extra calories you are bound to take on with the great food and rink available; the water aerobics are definitely great fun and an easy way to get to know others.

You can’t post a review of the Kalyves beach without mentioning Momo, the guest relations guy!

He is a great asset and really helps you to settle in to your holiday from day one. He is able to arrange the best trips and give you the lowdown on the island. At his recommendation we went for a cruise which was amazing.

The hotel also has nightly entertainment which is a great way to spend the evening, our favourite was the belly dancing night.

We had a great week, our only downside was that we can’t stay longer and hadn’t discovered this gem earlier. We look forward to coming back soon and checking out more of this gorgeous island.

Me and my wife had wedding on Crete 3 days ago and we stayed in this hotel for 7 days with our family. It was one of the best hotels I’ve ever been to. The hotel stuff is incredibly friendly. We’ve got a lot of surprises and gifts because of our wedding. The best one was that they booked for us two nights in other 5 stars hotel nearby with special romantic dinner. I can honestly say that our favourite host here was Momo. He’s really friendly and helpful (also best DJ here). Hotel has delicious drinks and two nice sand beaches. It’s beautiful and I would come back here once more.

We had an unforgettable vacation and are very happy that we chose Kalyves Beach Hotel. The transfer from the airport to Chania took no more than 40 minutes. The location is great, close to the sea. The food is varied and tasty, there was seafood every day. Cocktails and desserts could be safely taken to the room. The staff is friendly and kind. Every evening there was a different show - program. I liked the show of acrobats the most. The only thing is that our room was too small and clearly not designed for four people. But despite this, I can safely recommend this hotel for a great vacation with children or any company.

Our holiday was very nice. We had a nice view from the room and room was big enough for me, my husband and pur daughter. The food is varied. drinks of a good quality and the restaurant has nice outdoor place next to the river to enjoy the food. There is great shows and daily yoga or stretching and water gym for adults and small kids program and kids disco for kids. My daughter enjoyed it. We will be back.

Lovely beachfront hotel, clean nice sized rooms, friendly helpful staff many amenities- 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, spa and gym. Evening entertainment Greek night, live music poolside bar. Good food and plenty of choice.

Nice hotel. Outstanding animation by Emiliano, he also gave us some tips and helped us planning a day trip to explore the island. Private beach with included sunbeds. Large variety of food at the buffet and you can also find a Greece corner with domestic food. The rooms are okay. Altogether we had a very nice stay at Kalyves Beach.
