This was our second 10 day visit to this beautiful hotel, and was just as good as the first. This time we had a swim up room and although the room was smaller than the last one it had all of the same amenities plus the benefit of a patio with sunbeds and a shaded area with patio furniture. The room itself had a comfy bed, plenty of storage and hangers, tea and coffee making facilities and ironing board with iron. The hairdryer was attached to the bathroom wall which for anyone with unruly hair like mine isn’t ideal so I always bring my own. The resort itself is beautiful and easy to get around as it is quite flat and has the option of a golf buggy for anyone that needs it. The beach is easily accessed through a tunnel under the road where there are plenty of sunbeds. I am far from a foody but have to say the variety of food is amazing, although at times not hot enough for my taste, however we find this to be a problem in every hotel buffet restaurant. We didn’t try the a La carte restaurants because the buffet is preferable for my husband who has had treatment for throat cancer, making some foods difficult for him to swallow. The staff are friendly and helpful, including the mother and daughter in the little clothes shop. Night time entertainment was really good, but as it’s held outdoors had to be cancelled one night because of bad weather. I would highly recommend this hotel and would like to return, but will give this some consideration due to the ever increasing visitors tax.

Just returned from a wonderful 10 day stay at the Anemos Luxury Gand Resourt. From the moment we stepped from the bus, I knew we had chosen the right resort for us. From the registration process, and welcome drink, to the moment we checked out, everything was first rate and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The kitchen team tried really hard ensuring there was a variety of food each day and that the same food was served repeatedly. Away from the buffet restaurant the other restaurants made for a welcome change, with the Asian and Italian restaurants being particular favourites. The beach is accessible via an underpass which can feel a little steep, but the hotel does run 'golf carts' between the hotel and beach for those who may struggle with the underpass. Once there the beach is lovely, well maintained, row after row of sunbeds and a fabulous beach bar which provides service to your sun longer, as long as you remember which number sun lounger you are on. The only thing I'd change would be the room, I booked a sea view, but the room had a better view of the waste water area than the sea and it did make sitting on the balcony rather unpleasant. In hindsight, I wish I'd booked a room with a pool, however, as we didn't spend too much time in the room, it didn't detract too much from the wonderful holiday.

It was my second time at this hotel because last year I simply felt I didn't have enough time to enjoy it! In my many years of traveling and having been many times to Greece and Crete I have never been to a hotel like Anemos - straight from your dreams! Starting with the architectural and interior design, through very friendly employees (with great memory, cause they have recognized me from my last year's trip!), fantastic food and wonderful beach Paralia Kourna! I fell in love with this slice of heaven so much that I have returned few weeks later to another hotel belonging to this chain - Mythos Palace. So I have 2 more of their hotels still to visit (I also recommend Pepper Sea Club Hotel). Anemos is everything you wish for during your holidays and more!

What a wonderful hotel,this is first impressions you would think it was the start of the season not the end.Everything was spotlessly clean everywhere you went , no rubbish left lurking could not fault this place at all.The staff all so very friendly be it chefs waitress service, management bar staff everyone was always happy to,help nothing was a problem.It is an excellent well run hotel, and this reflects on the team that run it, well done one and all. Food was plentiful as were the choices, my only criticism is the food could have been hotter especially the soup, but that said we still enjoyed it. The fridge in our room was replenished with drinks as and when needed, such a wonderful,choice to pick from.The cleaner was very good also in fact the whole team on your hotel are amazing and I thank you one and all for sharing this fantastic hotel.

Staff was fantastic very friendly ,room cleaned every day ,food was great lots of choices,location was great beach was lovely,absolutely great value for money will be staying again.very spacious room .took a couple of trips which was easy .6euros by cab to get into town .great hotel

Room 4714: Terraced which was permanently in the shade. The Room itself was of good but not great standard, however the bathroom was very well below the expected standard but I could go a lot further!!! Shower head holder was broken on arrival, I reported this to reception and it was repaired shortly afterwards, however I would of preferred a new holder to be fitted because of it occasionally slipping down the shower? The shower water in the bath displayed a very slow drainage rate causing a build-up of standing water inside the bath, this made it very difficult/dangerous, due to the possibility of slipping whilst exiting the bath due to the soapsuds that remained within the bath (this happened to me on a couple of occasions) The Cold water supply to one of the taps in one of the twin basins was slow to none existing. A few days later I reported to reception that there was a smell of 'drains' coming from the bathroom, they replied that a maintenance team would look into the matter, but I never received a reply from them! days later I noticed that soap suds were appearing up from floor grate (picture attached) also noticed a large patch of mold in the corner of the ceiling (picture also attached) Meanwhile during the holiday on days 2&3 I had severe sickness & diarrhea which kept me room bound which I reported to the restaurant management whilst getting some cold bottles of water. Again, on days 5,7 and 8 this time only had diarrhea and I mentioned this to reception, they did ask if I required a doctor to visit but I declined because I did acquire medication at a pharmacy in Kavros. I did inquire at reception on day 8 if it was possible to keep the room on our final day till about 5pm just in case I was going to be ill on our final day, but the reply was it wasn't possible because the hotel was completely full, but they would keep note and I should ask again on our final day, we were able to keep the room for an extra 3 hours which helped me out a lot. The main buffet restaurant always had a wide variety of world cuisines at very high standard, my wife and I attended three of the A la carte restaurants, but the third had to be cancelled due to ill health. The three we attended were exceptional in quality and quantity of food and the ambiance of each restaurants. In all restaurants the staff were always polite, pleasant and helpful.***** On the final day we found a questionnaire, but could fill it in because it appeared to be in German, this insulted my wife and I because throughout our stay in the hotel we felt that we were not treated as valued customers by hotel management.

We had a fantastic holiday at the Anemos Luxury Grand Hotel in Crete. We had an arrival drink and very efficient check in, and had a room up grade as it was our anniversary. The food was exceptional and pool and beach very clean and tidy. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again soon!

Whist on the face of the hotel, it looks lovely but for the price and 5* it wasn’t the expected experience. On arrival we were kindly offered sandwiches, we were escorted through to the dining area and presented with average looking sandwiches but they tasted okay, 4 of the party were vegetarian and these were pre made without knowledge. We asked the member of staff if we could replace them at which point he took the sandwiches away and came back with 2 pieces of stale bread per person, with a slice of hardened cheese which I can only assume was for earlier in the day. This was laughed off, but again not exactly 5* luxury experience especially as a first impression. Whilst there are Resteraunt's available within the resort they are set menus and normally sharing. If you are a steak lover, it’ll be hard to find here! Overall the food again isn’t bad in these, but did not live up to the name or expectations. Children’s menus are very limited if you want to eat in the Resteraunts and carbon copy practically from one place to another offering the same 5 basic meals. If you choose to sit in the buffet area for meals it is well stocked with food and has a good variety which caters for all but overall I can’t say I’ll be returning. I believe for the price paid as all inclusive, theres better options out there to be explored with a more luxury touch! Sadly I can only offer an honest review of the experience we had, and whilst the resort wasn’t for us I can’t speak for everyone
