Good: pool, gym, sport options, beach, room size, friendly reception staff, some restaurant staff was also really nice, lots of beach chairs

Rooms are clean and on top of that they are cleaned every day, new towels, fresh floor. Absolutely recomended, this was our favourite when compare to similar price Mallorca or Sardinia resorts that we have visited before

Good holiday but lots to improve The hotel is good. They claim to be five star but in my opinion unfortunately it's three or three and a half. They are not aiming at high quality - they have potential for so much more

If one wants beach that is also available, sandy ***** is just 500m away to the side if necessary. Staff is really polite and helpful, buffet all inclusive food is not boring and selection can satisfy most i am sure

Later, I relaxed on one of their many lovely sofas to phone home for necessary news. A little more time to relax on the sunbeds and I was ready to leave, a very contented woman

I chose the outdoor dining area overlooking a river with ducks that runs into the sea I am a pescetarian, but mainly vegetarian. The food was HEAVENLY and the variety amazing

The beach is a cove never over crowded and the water is crystal clear and shallow for a long way. Plenty of little shops and places to eat out in this little village. Breakfast in the hotel was good, tasty

Not spoilt for choice but plenty for whatever your tastes. Pool area is great always get a bed. But we mostly went to the beach. There’s a car hire place nearby and a trip to Chania Old Town is an absolute must do

The design of the hotel is excellent, it is not too large, and set our perfectly around the pool, which was beautiful to swim or relax in, in its warm but cooling waters

This was one of many hotels we looked at but after so many positive reviews about the hotel and the staff it was a no brainer to book and we weren’t disappointed

Our room was spotlessly clean, extremely comfy beds & pillows and as we were in an end room (316) we had the most fabulous view of the mountains, pool and sea! Fresh bottled water daily as well which was a bonus! I will say that the shower was wonderful, the only little niggle being I couldn’t reach the high bathroom window to open it to let the steam out

The pool is fantastic, one of the best, quite deep, I couldn’t touch the bottom at 5ft 3 but it’s perfect for swimming, very refreshing

Wonderful, small and quiet boutique hotel situated close to the centre of Georgioupolis and a few minutes walk to both beach and shops/restaurants

The rooms are modern and stylish, the beds comfy and the shower is amazing. Food is great, breakfast is buffet style with lots of choice and dinner is 5 courses (with options for those who don’t want to eat meat or fish)

We recommend taking the local bus to Rethymno and asking the hotel to organise e-bikes (we had a great half day out exploring the local area and the bikes made easy work of the hills so we could benefit from some amazing views/scenery)

Also to the chamber maids who looked after our room. Even my nightwear was neatly folded. Fresh water each day and toiletries as needed. We made good use of the pool which is a reasonable size and kept clean

We ate at their restaurant by the beach. They have cozy private tables which creates a romantic vibe. The food was delicious. They can use fairy lights at the tables at night instead of white ones!

Buffet is excellent and lots of varied option. The food is so good and tasty 😋 thanks to the Chef. Amazing steak and cooked meals. Also the barman was doing excellent cocktails. They are always on duty so good

Very nice hotel, clean, with big rooms. Room service is great, every day they refill our coffees. We can ask them to refill our water containers, thus saving plastic bottles. The staff is amazing, always smiling and nice

The free hotel shuttle is very convenient (just coordinate the time with the host). The property also features a nice outdoor pool and a useful self-service laundry, free except for detergent capsules

It has a huge pool overooking Chania town and a nice gym. We couldn't use the pool, as it was winter, but the gym we liked a lot

The hotel restaurant has great food and one of the best views for watching the sunset in chania. Just remember to reservate a front row seat in time. There is also a big pool and a gym included in the room

Our room and bathroom if I'm honest was very old and definitely needed attention, but it was comfortable and similar to others we have stayed in elsewhere for the same price bracket so this wasn't a surprise

My only real niggles were that the mattress didn't have a mattress protector on it and aside from this not being very hygienic, it meant that the sheet which was a bit on the small side anyway, slipped about when I moved in my sleep and I would wake with it no longer covering the mattress and feeling uncomfortable

There are tour operators where you can book trips further afield, and the local bus is easy to catch to Chania and Rethymno. A land train takes you into the countryside to various places

The kitchen area had everything we needed for some basic salad and sandwich making but you could use the little hob if you were feeling more adventurous with a bit of cooking

Towels were only changed every 4 days which wasn't enough for the heat and I would advise taking a few extra with you. I don't think this is unusual in Greece though

Also, the pool regularly had a tide mark round it from suncream which built up and didn't look pleasant when swimming. This wasn't cleaned off often enough

The rooms were perfect for our needs (family room to singles) inclusive of balconies all around, the pool area wonderful for lazy afternoons, and an incredible views! And further bonus, the food was great - a comprehensive breakfast selection, lunch by the pool, and the restaurant Gems - which we ate at 3 of the 4 nights - included excellent options, from yummy salads, pizzas and pastas, to amazing...

My partner and I stayed a couple of nights during off-season. The hosts were incredibly kind, made us feel like we were the only ones there. Breakfast buffet was closed but they were kind enough to provide us in our room

We were given great recommendations when asking about restaurants and the best way to get to town. The room was clean, views stunning and it was quiet. Honestly wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in the Chania area

The hotel has a unique boutique feel about it as nothing is any problem for the owners or staff. The hotel pool is one of the best in Chania and the terrace view is the best in Chania

Creta Vitalis lives off its rented cottages. The hotel is basic but clean. The breakfast falls into the same category. The noise insulation between room and corridor can be improved upon

The buffet options at all the restaurants are excellent. The appetizers and main courses are always well-prepared and there’s something for everyone. However, for the desserts, only a few really stood out

On a practical note, we had to visit the nearby hospital during our stay and the staff there were excellent. We felt very secure and the doctors were professional and attentive

The variety of food for kids is fantastic, although I wish they had boiled vegetables in the buffet options (like in all the other restaurants). The staff is wonderful, always friendly and accommodating to families

The kid’s corner restaurant is great, it is open during the day until 5PM. In 2023, we noticed it was a bit dirty but they’ve made more efforts in 2024 to keep it clean

Almost every night, there are 2 to 4 events or shows, all worth attending. Our kids especially enjoyed the mini-disco and magician shows

We didn’t try the a La carte restaurants because the buffet is preferable for my husband who has had treatment for throat cancer, making some foods difficult for him to swallow

The staff are friendly and helpful, including the mother and daughter in the little clothes shop. Night time entertainment was really good, but as it’s held outdoors had to be cancelled one night because of bad weather

I would highly recommend this hotel and would like to return, but will give this some consideration due to the ever increasing visitors tax

The resort itself is beautiful and easy to get around as it is quite flat and has the option of a golf buggy for anyone that needs it

I am far from a foody but have to say the variety of food is amazing, although at times not hot enough for my taste, however we find this to be a problem in every hotel buffet restaurant

The hairdryer was attached to the bathroom wall which for anyone with unruly hair like mine isn’t ideal so I always bring my own

Perfect stay, very stylish, one of the best hotels we stayed so far. Only thing to improve would be the outdoor jacuzzi. It’s so cold, it should be a hot jacuzzi! Than it would be the most perfect stay.

Our stay at The Tanneries was exceptional. The property is gorgeous and modern yet fitting the historical surroundings, the rooms are also very modern and lovely with immediate proximity/ views to the water

We had a wonderful stay at Doma Hotel! Waking up to the sea view every morning was such a peaceful experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were unbelievably sweet – truly the highlight of our stay

Very nice place but far from a lot and no shops around. We booked the half board which included breakfast and dinner. Beware though l, the half board does not included drinks with dinner

I also did not like the fact they brought you the check even before you finished eating and then wanted to order additional drinks. There was also a charge for using the jacuzzi which I did not understand

We visited as a family of 5 in the October half term and couldn’t believe how quiet it was! Multiple times my children were the only ones around and in the pool, even though the pools were abit chilly the children still loved them! The water park was amazing and they children spent multiple hours in there also! The staff were outstanding, they went above and beyond every single day

Gusto restaurant was amazing food. Thematic restaurant was also very good. Found some nationalities rude and self important. Lack of lifts and incomplete handrails which for me having mobility issues was challenging

The latching mechanism to our door was also broken, and was never addressed by the maintenance team. Making coming and going from the apartment a challenge itself. The rooms were fine, but staff proved to be a challenge

The hotel has a parking area, but it’s quite small and often full, so we had to look for street parking instead, which wasn’t easy to find – and that was already in mid-September, so I can only imagine how hard it must be during high season
