Kiani Beach Resort Family All Inclusive

Is in a relaxing area with beachfront views and includes 3 restaurants and 2 heated pools nice and r laxing hotel we will come again for sure!

In general great place to stay with small children, great facilities, fun events for children. Swimming pools are anyone can desire, outside, inside non heated, inside heated. If one wants beach that is also available, sandy ***** is just 500m away to the side if necessary. Staff is really polite and helpful, buffet all inclusive food is not boring and selection can satisfy most i am sure. Rooms are clean and on top of that they are cleaned every day, new towels, fresh floor. Absolutely recomended, this was our favourite when compare to similar price Mallorca or Sardinia resorts that we have visited before.

Great value for money. Friendly staff. Chef Ram was amazing with customized pizzas.

We had a great family vacation there. The rooms were clean, and there was a wide variety of food and activities. Great location and value for money and we will definitely return!!

Good holiday but lots to improve
The hotel is good. They claim to be five star but in my opinion unfortunately it's three or three and a half. They are not aiming at high quality - they have potential for so much more.

Good: pool, gym, sport options, beach, room size, friendly reception staff, some restaurant staff was also really nice, lots of beach chairs.

Ok: food (lacking flavor a bit but otherwise ok), cleaning (that varied a lot - one day it was excellent, the next they just mopped in middle of the floor and took away our beach towels without replacing them).

Not so good: drink selection - the sodas from the tap were local brand, the wines from the tap absolutely horrible (=undrinkable and I am not a wine-snob). The bathroom floor was done in the wrong way: water ran the wrong way and stayed at the other end rather than going in the drain. Really noisy restaurants: if they would invest in table cloths, it would make a huge difference. But apparently they want to keep all the costs as low as possible.

It seemed like some of the restaurant staff were in such a role for the first time whereas others were excellent. No one seemed to care about feedback.
This was the first time in an all inclusive when I drank zero glasses of wine due to the taste of it.

The location is beautiful but it's not the easiest to get to - in April the last bus from Chania leaves already at 14.30!

Good resort for families w/ babies or kids 4+
The resort is great for families with babies OR kids 4+ years. It was a huge disappointment for us that our daughter who turns 4 in two months couldn’t attend any of the kids’ club activities, even if we would’ve stayed with her. So there was not much to do, considering we visited in April when only the indoor pool was heated (mildly, still cold in my opinion) and she couldn’t spend time in any of the kids’ pools outside. There’s a small playground, which is nice and a babies’ play room, which is good for 1-2 years old. The kids’ mini disco saved the days for our daughter and she truly enjoyed dancing with other kids!

The rooms are nice and the hotel premises altogether are well kept. The buffet has good Greek delicacies but after few days you start to miss something else. The breakfast is superb!


I’m pregnant and to my big disappointment the spa had no experience in setting a spa bed for someone in her last trimester. I can’t lay on my back anymore, but there was no pillows, only few towels put under my back. Very uncomfortable 60min laying and wasn’t able to relax and enjoy the facial. At least in Finland, it’s common knowledge in spas that laying on one’s back in late pregnancy is not a good idea and I did inform them about this before my treatment.

All in all, I think the resort is nice for a family who likes all-inclusive. This trip taught me that it’s not my thing, but it’s not the fault of the resort, only my personal opinion. I’ll return to boutique hotels. :)

Four of us (2 adults and 2 children 8 and 13) spent 5 nights at Kiani Beach Resort. It was brilliant - even better than we expected. Our room was fabulous- very spacious, great bathroom and the beds were large and very comfortable. The hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer. We had zero issues throughout our stay so we didn’t need their help but everyone was so welcoming and sweet with our children. The food and drinks were superb - something for everyone and plentiful even when we made it late for breakfast or dinner. The setting and the facilities are excellent. The hotel is right by the sea which is perfectly safe for bigger kids - young ones you would need to watch out for as it gets deep fairly quickly. Or you can use the numerous pools including a great indoor pool which is next to a very decent gym. And there’s a paddle court and tennis court too as well as group activities like beach volleyball. So if you want to be active you can or you can just completely relax in a lovely setting. We’ll be back next year! thank you for such a brilliant holiday.

The most amazing resort ever! So many pools all indoors and outdoors ! All clean! Sunbeds along beach and bars are always welcoming!

You will find new food items in buffet every day ! Never gets repetitive and it’s very very tasty! We travel 7-10 times a year, and have been all over world ! This place is something magical .. and have sea, pools and a river all in same vicinity!
Absolute bliss!

We stayed in the new section and our room was beautiful but definitely had a small of drainage issues. Large indoor heated pool which was empty and a well equipped gym. Food was average to good but lacked signage. Beach bar lacked higher end cleanliness and put me off and poor welcome from reception staff on arrival. Reviewed given this is meant to be a 5 star resort. Definitely walk up along the beach where it opens up and is just beautiful.....a hidden gem the river merges into the sea

My experience at Kiani Beach Resort was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the Cretan Sea right from the resort.
The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped, offering the perfect balance of luxury and comfort. The resort amenities, especially the pool areas and the beach access, were pristine and ideal for relaxation. We also enjoyed the variety of activities available, from the fitness center to the kids' entertainment.
I must give a special thanks to June, who made our experience truly memorable. Her warm hospitality and attention to detail added a personal touch to our stay. She was always ready to assist with any request and made sure we felt at home.
Overall, I highly recommend Kiani Beach Resort for anyone looking for a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure in Crete. We can't wait to return
