Kalimera Mare Mini-hotel

We stayed four nights at Kalimera Mare. The hotel was excellent, very clean and well maintained gardens and pool area. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and evening meals were delicious; buffet style with plenty of choice. Beach was a 5 minute walk -.€3 euros for two sunbeds plus a soft drink. Great value. Buses available to Kardamena, approx 30 minutes away, where you can also pick up other buses to, say, Kos town. Very relaxing holiday, will definitely return. Credit to the staff for making our holiday such an enjoyable experience.

Lovely small and very friendly hotel. Have had a fabulous 10 nights here. Great if you want a nice chilled quiet holiday. Staff are fantastic and go above and beyond. Special thanks to Ida, Valeria, Panos and Cosmos . However every staff member we encountered were very friendly. Food was delicious, I was a bit dubious ordering your main course in the morning however is a great idea as it comes nice and fresh and piping hot , The room we had had not been updated however was very clean and had all you needed.

I had such a special and welcoming stay at Kalimera. Absolutely no complaints about my stay, the service was wonderful. From a slight booking hiccup to, getting me a taxi back home to the airport and everything inbetween. I was travelling solo but I was part of a wedding held in nearby Mitis hotel resort and it was so easy to get to, by bus, taxi or walking. Food, wonderful. Room & bed, so comfortable. All the staff, happy, friendly, professional & helpful. A special thank you to Cosmo and Valeria for making me feel so welcome. Thank you ever so much 😊

Very friendly staff, quiet environment, Good for relaxing, there's hotel beach for 3 Euro a day per person and one coffee. water is really clean and nice. Swimming pool is also nice.

Wonderful hotel in a great location ie quiet. The hotel was impressively clean and very well maintained in all areas, the rooms, grounds, pool, restaurants, terraces, car park - everywhere. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and cheerful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfasts were brilliant and evening meals were tasty and varied. We hired a car which the hotel arranged for us to collect and drop off in the hotel car park. We had a fantastic time. Our room had a sea view, a fridge, kitchen sink, hairdryer and a good rang of toiletries. The ambiance of the hotel was friendly, safe, happy and incredibly welcoming. Kos was well worth the visit. Some days it was rather windy but a short trip to another part of the island solved that.

My partner and I decided on this hotel as it was ideally situated close to the beach and offered half board basis. Lovely clean hotel with exceptional service. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They really work so hard to ensure the satisfaction of the guests. Cosmo on reception goes the extra mile to ensure your stay is a joy. A real team who are speedy and efficient with their service at meal times and so friendly and courteous. They were a big part in making our holiday so memorable. Food is varied and sufficient to satisfy a range of tastes. The salmon and Greek dishes (Stifado, Kleftiko) were fantastic. The mushroom and seafood risottos were so tasty. Greek night buffet was fun with a traditional dance performance then the staff dancing along with the guests! A relaxing pool area with comfortable sunbeds were ideal to soak up the sunshine. Our room was cleaned every day to a high standard. A beach walk along the roadside towards Kardamena requires care (took us an hour but worth it to get a gyros from Tasty Corner) as the vehicles on the road rarely slow down. I would suggest use of the bus in the evening (2 Euro single journey takes around 30 mins heading into Kardamena as goes via the Akti and Mitsis Village accommodation, but only around 10 mins coming back). There is a bus stop outside the hotel and buses arrived as per the timetable in reception during our stay. Get up early and head to the beach for the sunrise before breakfast. Spectacular. Would we go back? Definitely.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at Kalimera Mare and we are already looking to book for next year, that tells how much we enjoyed it. Every single member of staff were incredibly friendly and very hard working. The hotel was spotlessly clean though out. The rooms were very comfortable and were cleaned very well everyday, towels changed daily and sheets every 3 days. The food was amazing and very good quality, fabulous choice at breakfast from full English to pancakes, Greek yogurt, croissants, hams, cheeses, eggs, fresh fruit, nuts, fruit juice, teas, coffee. After breakfast you go to reception and choose your main course for your evening meal. Always had a choice of a meat dish, fish dish, pasta dish and a veggie dish. The starter and dessert were a serve yourself buffet style, always varied and delicious. They also have a Greek night every Thursday which was great fun and all the staff join in. As well as a lovely pool they have a small area of private beach 100m walk. The barman Panos comes down regularly, you pay him €6 for 2 sun beds and an umbrella and he brings you 2 soft drinks or coffee (his frappe’s were the best) We enjoyed our chats with the staff and our geography lessons on the beach from Panos and Valeria telling us all about the Greek islands and Eda always wanting to chat to make sure we were having a good time. Cosmos on reception is a lovely man who’s English is amazing, always loved predicting what our meal choice was going to be and nearly always got it right… You can walk in to Kardamena along the coastal road, it took us around 40mins or you can get the bus from right outside the hotel. All in all we had a great time, the owner (who also worked very hard and clearly cared for his staff like family) should be very proud of his hotel and every single member of his staff. Thanks for a fabulous 2 weeks….until next year.

The hotel stands out primarily for its exceptional service – friendly, helpful, and fully dedicated to ensuring the comfort of guests. Special recognition goes to the waitstaff (Valeria, Tasos, the girl from Albania) and the young man at reception, who create a warm, family-like atmosphere, making the stay truly enjoyable. The hotel is perfectly located – near the sea and at the foot of a mountain, providing tranquility and stunning views. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day, and the cuisine offers a wide selection of delicious dishes. Minor drawbacks include a late dinner service and the inability to dispose of toilet paper in the toilet, but these are easily manageable.

Had a lovely holiday from start to finish. The staff are all lovely, nothing is too much trouble, we arrived quite late in the day but they made sure we had something to eat before retiring to our room. Our room was nice and spacious with a nice view over the gardens. The pool was freshwater and there was never a problem getting a sun lounger. There is a private beach not far from the hotel where staff come along to get you food & drinks, as I mentioned nothing was too much bother. The food was lovely, with plenty of variety. There was a bit of a walk into Kardamena but you can get the bus from just outside of the hotel. You can also get a bus into Kos from the main road which is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. There was a Greek night on a Thursday with authentic Greek dancers. If it’s a peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle your after this is the place for you. Shame there wasn’t any tavernas or restaurants close by if you fancied a change but you could just hop on a bus/ taxi . Definitely a hotel I would go back to.

Went in for breakfast only as we stayed in sweet Kalimera Apartments. 10 euro for plentiful buffet . I had bacon roll and my wife had scrambled eggs. We both had some treats afterwards . Great eating your breakfast on the outside veranda. Man at reception was friendly and we had a good experience overall.
