Kipriotis Hippocrates Hotel

I recently traveled here for a conference, and these hotels were some of the few available options. The price for the night was very high, especially given the service level and the state of the facilities. The room itself was a major letdown. The bed was terribly uncomfortable—so hard that I barely got any sleep during my stay and now have terrible back pain. It felt like a trip to Soviet Russia, given the state of the hotel. The entire property looks like it hasn't seen any renovations or updates in over two decades. The shower/bathtub was worn down, so the outer layer came off. The furniture was outdated, and the overall appearance of the hotel was tired and shabby.

For the price, I expected far better service and accommodations. Unfortunately, this place is long overdue for a serious upgrade. I would not recommend staying here unless major changes are made.

Catering staff and entertainment team all good, however the remaining service leaves much to be desired. Reception staff indifferent and incredibly unhelpful .
Prior to departure enquired at reception to keep room until 3pm on final day, reception manager confirmed this was available and we should attend reception following morning before 10am and pay agreed fee of €35.
On attending reception next morning was informed this was now not possible. No apology forthcoming or any attempt to provide any alternative.
Requested to speak to reception manager as still no apology .
On speaking to her after firm insistence on behalf finally agreed we could keep room until 1pm.
On later going back to room at 12pm in order to vacate by 1pm we found we had been locked out of room, we then had to find staff to let us in.
On bringing this to the attention of reception again no apology only shrug of shoulders.
Whilst at reception in morning I overheard 3 different guests complaining about other guests on our floor who for the last 3 nights have been exceptionally loud and disruptive at 5am today running round corridors with fire extinguishers shouting screaming opening fire exits throwing food around corridors.
Reception manager denied to all guests being aware of this even though reception staff attended there at 5am and she herself was seen there at 8.30 am inspecting the food left thrown over floor.
When I stated this had been a problem last 3 nights again no apology only told you should have called reception!!!
Whilst catering staff were pleasant food was at best mediocre, many choices were not replaced once 1st pots had gone and apart from Greek salad there was no Greek food in sight at all .
Room was clean bed ok however the bathroom was almost antique status !!! The most ridiculous old shower I think I've ever experienced.
Whilst we will definitely return to Kos certainly will not return to this group of hotels nor would I recommend them.
Will certainly be informing our booking agent and posting review on trip advisor
