Grand Blue Beach Hotel in Kardamaina

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay at the Grand Blue Beach Hotel and would return in the future, without a doubt.

The rooms are spacious & modern, with great sea views overlooking Turkey & some of the other Greek islands in the distance. You could sit for hours on the well sized balcony. We slept amazingly well during our stay, the beds are comfy & a great size too. My only criticism of the room is the shower, which could be cleaner & updated to more modern standards.

All of the staff are super friendly & extremely helpful in the bars & restaurants. The service was always fast, there was very rarely a queue at any of the bars, even during busier serving hours.

The food wasn't great at the hotel, if you paid for an all inclusive package, you may be disappointed, as there wasn't a huge selection of food on the buffet each day. The options at meal times are repetitive & often taste quite bland. Luckily, Kardamena is only a 10-15 minute walk away, where there are a wide variety of bars & restaurants to choose from, with much tastier options, especially for an evening meal.

We enjoyed having the choice of 3 very clean & well maintained pools, each with a different vibe, plus a nearby pool bar to all of them.

The location of the hotel is great for those wanting to venture out, whether that be to the nearby beach, the waterpark or just Kardamena itself. It is on quite a steep hill, which we didn't mind tackling every day. For those who struggle walking, there are golf buggies buzzing around the hotel grounds to give you a lift if needed.

There's also plenty of parking available, at the bottom of the hill near the beach, or at the top outside the reception building.

Pretty much everywhere in the hotel has a breath taking sea view, we can't wait to return to soak it all in again!

Ideally located around a 10 minute walk into the town centre.
We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights as a family of 4, room 320!
The hotel, staff and facilities were great and would say that they are a 5* hotel.
Food and drinks were plenty and a good choice for everyone.
A choice of 3 pools and a 2 minute walk onto the beach. If we were to come back to Kos I wouldn’t not hesitate to stay over again.

I stayed at this hotel for 7 days, and honestly, it was the most gorgeous and peaceful place I’ve ever stayed at. The staff were incredible, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Martha at reception was especially amazing; she’s so sweet and kind, and she instantly makes you feel welcome and at ease.

The room I stayed in was lovely. Housekeeping came daily, replaced the towels, and changed the bedsheets almost every day, which was such a nice touch. The breakfast was good, though it can get a little repetitive after a few days — still, plenty of nice options to start the day.

The pool isn’t heated, but I still really enjoyed using it, especially with the beautiful views around. The views from the hotel are absolutely gorgeous — you can see both the sea and the mountains, which makes it feel so calm and scenic. The whole vibe of this place is 10/10 — quiet, peaceful, and the perfect little getaway, whether you’re travelling solo or with others.

The hotel is quite big, and the hills can be a bit challenging to walk, but they have golf carts available that you can call from your room, which makes getting around super easy. Wi-Fi is provided and works in almost all areas of the hotel, which was really convenient. The beach is also just across the entrance, so it’s really easy to pop over whenever you want.

This was my first ever solo trip, and it honestly couldn’t have gone better. It made me fall in love with this place and with travelling alone. Kardamaina is only about a 15–20 minute walk from the hotel — such a lovely area with nice food and shops to explore. Kos Town is also worth a visit, only about a 40-minute bus journey away, and full of nice sights and restaurants.

I’d definitely come back again — it’s the perfect mix of relaxation, beauty, and amazing service. I left feeling completely recharged and happy. Thank you to everyone for making it such a memorable stay!

It was a memorable an amazing vacation. I have a lovely room with a breathtaking sea view. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had a tasty food with many choices. They also offered some excursion. recommend jud nako Ang kos center ug turkey kung gusto nyo bumili ng mga souvenir. I'm probably coming back again next year. ❤️

This is the best vacation I ever had , the view is perfect and the housekeeping service is good it maintain my room clean whenever I leave and come back. I will come back here next time with my family and friends ,for them to experience a great vacation

Staff and food are amazing, the bars are incredible and the cocktails so delicious, the hotel is very beautiful and everyone is always ready to help you.

After reading all the mixed reviews prior to arriving at grand blue,I did have my reservations. We arrived late and the girl on reception could not have been any friendlier,and helpful.Explained everything to us and then we were taken to our Rooms by the golf buggy. The rooms are newly renovated,clean and have everything you could need. My only negative with the room was that we paid extra for the sea view ,which when you stood on your balcony was lovely,but sitting outside on the furniture you only saw the wall as the balcony was a solid wall vs a glass balcony.Our sons stayed in the apartment below us,still had the same view as us but we didn’t pay extra for their room for the view. Our room was cleaned and bed made every day except our last one,which was understandable. We had a problem with a cupboard door,one call to reception and it was sorted.The staff were putting new mirrors in on our last day. The pools are super busy,which in a hotel you do expect.However we did manage to get a bed every day.The pools are clean and well maintained.We only sat at the more quiet pool at the bottom as the top two were always too busy. The only negative i could see was that staff didn’t collect glasses until the end of the day,so when lazy guests left them it did look messy and attract ants.Bins over flowing etc. Food….We only paid for b&b and given other guests opinions on the food when we were there we are glad.The breakfast was ok,you could find something to eat each day ,however chaotic,and very little cups,utensils etc available. Again the staff were helpful and assisted guests as and when needed. The location is amazing,a short 10 min walk and you are in the town.The food is amazing,we didn’t have one single complaint in any restaurant or bar we ate or drank in. The shops are also amazing. The beach is pebbly as stated in other reviews…however it’s a beach & I think people are just picking faults.Water is lovely,crystal clear.If you struggle with the pebbles ,a 1 min walk to the right of the hotel you will find a more sandy area.There are plenty of water sports here to keep everyone entertained. The entertainment was ok..we only watched a little one night as we spent our evenings in the town. The mini mart on site is amazing,cheap and had everything you could want or need.We actually purchased all our drinks and snacks here and kept them in our fridge.Given we were only b&b this was brilliant for us. The gym was great,my son used this daily. The shower room in reception was brilliant for us as we had a late flight home.This meant we could shower and change and enjoy the whole day.Staff stored all our belongings in a secure room. Reception organised our taxi back to the airport upon our request which was also fab & took the hassle out of it for us. With all inclusive you get free access to the water park,we didn’t as b&b but we could make use of the free bus that picks you up at 9am and collects you from water park at 2.30pm…this was a gre

We had a wonderful time at the hotel! From the very first moment, the service was impeccable — the staff were polite, friendly, and always eager to help with a smile. Room 345 was spotless, spacious, and elegantly decorated, with great attention to detail. The food was truly exceptional! A rich buffet with fresh, high-quality ingredients and flavors that exceeded our expectations. Every meal was a small gastronomic experience. Overall, a hotel that truly respects its guests and offers a high level of hospitality. I highly recommend it and we will definitely return! Thank you 😊
