Sunset Beach Hotel

We really enjoyed staying here. The views are amazing and it was great being so close to the sea, literally just down the steps. It was 30 degrees plus when we were there so it's a relief to have the sea breeze and to be able to cool off in the waves. It's quite windy at the moment so we found the sea isn't flat enough for paddleboarding unless you like the waves. The staff are lovely and friendly.
We loved the cats that visit the hotel, they made our daughters holiday. I didn't realise how many stray cats there are in Crete and if you are an animal lover it does pull at your heart strings a bit, but the locals do put food out for them.
At the hotel, there is plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner and the mousaka and Greek salad was good.
There is a cove that is good for snorkelling about 3 minutes walk from the hotel where you can see many types of fish amongst the rocks.
Heraklion is well worth a visit, only 20 minutes by bus. The harbour is beautiful. We also visited the natural history museum there which was good. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

I highly recommend Shotels Sunset Beach Hotel! The hotel is well maintained and modern. The staff is very nice. The rooms are large and clean. The food is varied and fresh every day. The beach next to the hotel is clean (there are enough sun loungers and umbrellas). The great advantage of the hotel is its location (a few minutes by bus to Heraklion). If I plan a holiday in Crete again, I will certainly choose this hotel again. Greetings from Poland!

Great personnel and you feel like family, the only exception it's the boss he is bossing around the clients giving orders to them. Clean rooms and they are cleaned daily. Great Greek night with lots of food music and dancing. Very clean water and they have a nice pool. On overall experience it was one of the greatest suumer ever.

Small family-run hotel with perfect location right on the beach. Full sun all day even if north-facing. Nice sunsets. Nice breeze from the sea. Friendly staff. Clean rooms with AC.

Very good services, spacious and clean rooms.
Various delicious food options (local, local reinterpretations and international). Also, there is a traditional barbecue hosted on Fridays (at an extra cost) that includes a show.
Car rental services provided.

It's a great place, suitable for families with children, as the rooms are very clean, the staff is friendly, the beach is close, with fine sand and crystal clear water. Also the airport is nearby and the food is excellent, different types of food to choose from

the hot water installation didn't work at all the first evening, and then you had to wait for hot water to flow.

public transport stations are close, but the bus schedule is not respected.
