Minos Pension in Rhodes Town

Do not expect a gourmet meal, it is what it’s meant to be, a casual cafe where you can get a drink and meal or snack and enjoy an absolutely beautiful view!! The service is wonderful with friendly helpful staff. You do have to climb some steps and it’s up a hill but how else would you get a view like they have. If you have some extra time to take breather after walking up, I highly recommend enjoying the view.

If you fancy a break from the busy activity of the old town and you are looking for a peaceful location with a stunning view...here it is! It's just a simple no-frills bar and just serves drinks with a basic food menu. BUT, it has one main outstanding feature - the view. When I first got to the top of those stairs my jaw dropped. From here you can see across the whole of the town including the palace, the harbour and even up to the acropolis (behind you) in the distance. It appears that not many tourists are even aware that this place exists. I cannot recommend this enough!
Location: The bar sits over some apartments and is accessible via two flights of stairs (see photo). To find them, walk through the entrance to the apartments.
Comments: I have seen one review which moans about the fluttering canopy making a bit of a noise. I think that comment is exremely harsh since this is one of the highest points in Rhodes old town and there is a slight breeze.

Myself & my fiance had lunch there & what an amazing restaurant it was. The young man welcomed us with a smile & took our order. Food & drinks were lovely & the view was out of this world. Would definitely recommend.

Great central location got a nice big room on the bottom floor. Roof bar has a great view and Cold beer. Beautiful sea breeze blows through the window. Lots of nice places to go and see in walking distance.

Great location inside the walls of old town, and very close distance to walk to the main square. Plenty of free roadside parking outside of red gate after 4pm. Service was a bit hit and miss. We were only able to check in 30 mins later than the official check in time, and they forgot that we had free breakfast. The lady who looks after the place was a bit temperamental - sometimes happy and friendly, other times a bit moody. If you can get past that character, the place is pretty nice, with the best rooftop view overlooking all the main sights and harbour. Food at the rooftop cafe was also nice and generous

Though the building is an older building it was very clean and accommodating. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends and I will go back again next time in Rhodes.

Great view from the bar/restaurant. The food was good and value for money, the staff were friendly and a great place to see the Rhodes whilsy cooling down in the breeze.
