I like the style of the hostel very much, it's a chill and friendly place. It's better to let the host know your arrival time, then everything will be perfect! Hope I can come back here again!

It was not easy to find the adress by car. And the first impression was a kind of dark. But then the guy knew a good place to leave the car and we had a good place to stay. And (sometimes) Reggae music for free. Thanks Ole and Thomas from Germany

The place is very clean. Very welcoming staff. They're always around. And so comfortable beds!!!! The Downtown Hostel is one of those places "a home away from home".

Lovely rooms with fan provided. Very clean space, bathrooms included. Kitchen and fridge provided for use and towels are also given out to guests.

Hostel is not well indicated, the entrance is a big brown door. It is small, bed was not really confortable but did the job. No help at all from staff. It's okay for the price.

It has a good location, is ok for a solo travel, whenever no comfort is needed in the staying

Excellent location. Easy checkin. Good value for the money. However the mattresses were too thin—you could feel the wooden bed lats and thus couldn’t sleep well. Poor acoustic insulation. Problems with the taps: hot water even when the tap is on cold. Would consider coming back for a short, cheap stay.

Location was unreal. For the price you cannot beat anything this hostel has to offer - especially for a private room. Had no issues whatsoever - will definitely be coming back

we ordered the room one day before the stay so i guess thats why it was kinda pricey (but not really, it was cheapish but i stayed in much better places for less money). the room was fine (for the cost), peatty noisy at night and hairs in the shower+it was difficult to manage the shower. but it was cheap so i guess it was fine, good for budget traverlles. the location is great!

As for hostel the place is good. There is a nice bar on the ground floor. The only minus is construction of building just in front of windows that starts at 6 a.m.

Excellent location, central and next to a whole street of food and bars - great ! However, no aircon / fan so room was very hot which made sleeping there very uncomfortable even though the room was nice. Friendly service and people and clean facilities. Would recommend.

It was a great experience there.. We enjoyed a lot with the students belonging to different countries living there. The main thing is that Location was perfect in city center..

Had a great experience at this hostel! Close to Keleti station, very well priced and room was clean. Not a super social hostel, but if you’re looking for something quiet this is perfect. Only reasons I’m giving it a 4/5 is because they only accept cash, it’s a little hidden away and hard to find and the bathrooms were a little weird. But for the price you pay it’s perfect.

An authentic Budapest experience. Helpful host. Big bag of laundry only cost 1000 HUF.
