Shower is a Mess, showers leaking Water.
One of the worst hair dryer i have ever used.
No sleepers in the room.
Broken safe.
Bad air condition.

Clean, comfy bed and quiet. The staff is kind and the breakfast was good. Shower was big and good pressure but the door won't close perfectly so you may wet the floor. Hair dryer is weak. Still a very good place

Great reception staff, always so helpful and friendly. Always gave us ice when we asked and changed my room because the first one was too hot. Great people, would give them 10 stars. Definitely recommend!!

I stayed for 6 nights and was super impressed by the friendly, accommodating and honest staff. I misplaced my wedding ring and the cleaner found it and returned it! The front desk guys were also lovely and arranged for us to move rooms for a cooler aircon (it was 34 degrees outside). Location is super convenient, rooms and quiet and spacious. Would definitely stay again.

Great situation for tourists. Clean and tidy. The best thing for me were the helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to send back my mobile phone by post to the UK after I accidentally left it in a taxi. Absolutely marvellous. Would highly recommend you stay here!

Nice hotel, nice location, very attentive and helpful staff. Very close to metro and tram station, conveniently located in within loads of restaurant and bar and the grocery store is near by. Only fuss would be no kettle in the room for the coffee. Hotel provide you on site breakfast which can be bought with the room which OK but not great as you only have limited items but Definitely recommend it and it's worth for what you pay. Shout out to Mrcell, Bala'zs and Norbert as they will happily answer any question you have and also guide you to all the attractions how to get there and tell you which is most popular. New York cafe the world's most beautiful coffee shop is just around the corner from the hotel. Enjoy your stay.

I have a rule that I don’t write reviews for bad experiences; however, for my one-night stay at ibis Budapest City, I will make an exception. I will start with the good things: the booking process over the phone was flawless, and being an Accor member, I received a 10% discount. So, this hotel was a fair deal for a last-minute one-night stay. The location is convenient, close to the M2 line metro station. However, be aware of the drunken junkies around, especially late at night. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. We had a dog, and we were pleasantly surprised by the extra sofa-bed they prepared for our dog. The breakfast was just ‘Meh’ at best.
The room, unfortunately, was not up to par, just outdated and in need of maintenance and refreshing. The wooden floor right in front of the bathroom was almost popping out. Upon check-in, the bathroom lacked hand soap and tissue paper, I guess, housekeeping didn’t bother to check. Furthermore, the bathroom ventilation was not functioning. When I called the reception, they promptly provided hand soap but informed me that tissue paper is not provided as standard. Additionally, they explained that ventilation only operates centrally between 6 pm and 10 am! How on earth is that possible? Bathroom ventilation not working during the day? Weird stuff!
I accidentally dropped my contact lenses on the bathroom floor. To my dismay, when I went to retrieve them with my phone torch, oh boy….the floor was dirty, under the basin was disgusting. While I appreciate the adage 'you get what you pay for,' the lack of functioning ventilation, absence of basic amenities like tissue paper, and cleanliness issues are unacceptable.
Overall, I am not sure what happened to the standards of ibis. I haven’t been to ibis for years, but overall I had a negative experience. I do not recommend ibis Budapest City.

Nice enough standard hotel.
What bothered me is the low ceiling areas in the room (if you over 6’4 / 1.93, you bang your head all the time), and the annoying firm filling at check-in. I’m a member of all major hotel chains, and this is the only one not able to use the name and address from my profile.

The Ibis Budapest City is optimally located for exploring the city by foot. It is a nice place to stay, the rooms are new and the service is standard. The only thing that is a bit annoying is the proximity to the main street where a lot of traffic noise swaps over to the hotel. I recommend the hotel for its reasonable pricing as well
