The rooms are a bit dated in design. We had a room with large windows facing the street and sidewalk, and we're not sure the curtains there did much to help with our privacy. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast and lunch had great variety but the quality was 3/5, except the coffee bar when it was open at lunch which was 5/5. The dinner in the cellar was 4/5 - very beautiful with large portions but the taste/quality was lacking.

Nice, friendly and comfortable rooms with air conditioning. Everything is clean and the rooms are large enough for you to stay there, not just sleep and go out. You need to pay for the parking a fair price, but then is watched through CCTV and more secure. The staff is really kind and helpful with all your needs and requests.

A friendly, family owned hotel within 7 min walking distance to the centre of Eger. WiFi throughout the hotel, spa, and… a Beatles museum! What is not to like? Under the hotel you find cosy win cellars where wine tasting is arranged. I recommend you exploring local red and white wine, not least the famous Egri bikavér!

Very nice and cozy hotel only a few minutes walk from beautiful Eger in a quite part far from any traffic noise. Rooms are nice, clean and comfy. Had a nice massage and swim in their wellness section. Big breakfast and had dinner a couple of times really good meals. The staff is really helpful.

Great hotel with pretty nice service. The wellness section is OK and the wine cellars next to the hotel are amazing. The only bad thing is the basement rooms view looks more to the parking lot then the cellars

The staff were friendly and always happy to help. The facilities were excellent and set in an idyllic location just around the corner from the famous wine caves/cellars serving "Eger Bull's Blood". The hotel restaurant is just across the road from the hotel and serves excellent food (and wine) and as a hotel guest you get a discount for dining between 7pm and 10pm. We would recommend to stay here.

We had a pleasant stay here. Staff was really friendly and service minded. They prepared the sauna and jacuzzi for use and we received muffins upon check-out. Rooms are a bit dated, but facilities are nevertheless still fine. Would come back when around.

The room is very well and modernly equipped, and guests also have access to a cozy garden with a perfect spot for enjoying an afternoon cup of coffee. The delicious and varied breakfasts deserve special praise. The atmosphere in the hotel is very friendly and family-like. I highly recommend it.

Very relaxing break at this establishment. The rooms (not sure about the glass doors to the toilet facilities though!!) were very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The spa/wellness facilities were very good with different levels of heat/minerals in the pools. It was described as having 17 pools, but in reality it less but larger pools are sectioned, but this of course is not an issue....

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. We were satisfied with everything, except for the fact that the treadmill didn't function in the gym. The spa with the outdoor pools is exceptional, the view of the salt hill is breathtaking. Staff could smile more, but they are polite and helpful. I was there in the middle of the week for two nights with my partner. The experience was positive, the room was modern and enough comfortable, food is nice, the level of service is almost always good. The internal spa area is cozy, with all what is necessary to have a relaxing afternoon; in our case the last afternoon was ruined by a group of ladies who were partying in the spa, without being recalled...

Nice hotel, good service. The only negative I may mention that the hotel itself is a little garish with many artificial lamps, decorations, curtains and statues. I found this too artificial. I prefer natural materials, ornaments and simplicity in the outfit.

Stayed here a while ago but I still thought I would write a review. I would highly recommend staying here. The rooms were clean, comfortable, the scenery is beautiful and quiet (in a good way) and the staff are very nice. I’m always cautious because of my dietary restrictions but they even made me a mini gluten free loaf every morning :) Overall it was a lovely stay.

Absolutely loved this place! highly recommended to stop by and spend some time. I worked from here remotely, and it was perfect for that as well. The staff is absolutely friendly and welcoming, the food is beyond expectations and the atmosphere is relaxing. Loved the different accommodation types and the community spaces as well.

Great place for the nature lover. Lovely hospitality by the staff, good food. Only downside is the water pressure in the bungalow, we were staying in one of the highest situated one and if you open the kitchen sink tap, it would shut it off everywhere else, including the two showers. For a start, the hotel was built more than 100 years ago, more precisely in the 1920s. The hotel has a wellness spa center with indoor and outdoor pools, Jacuzzi, bungalows by the outdoor pool ... On the ground floor of the main building is a winery with a large selection of its own wines. On the second floor there is a large and perfectly decorated restaurant. And food ... food is what will delight...

Perfect retro experience. Medium size wellnes, some sauna, big outside park with outdoor pools. At every evening at dinner there is a man playing on electric piano. This place's stuck in the 70s.

Hard to rate it because of the huge contrasts. Unbelievably abundant and delicious food but totally worn-out and old infra everywhere. They just can't keep it clean. So the catering is 5 the infra is 1, the cleanliness is 2. The staff friendliness and helpfulness are 4.

Comfortable clean rooms and friendly helpful customer service. The wellness area has multiple pools all of them with jacuzzi. Do not get the half board!!! One of the greatest adult-friendly hotels in Hungary. Staff is very polite and welcoming. Spa is relatively big with different pools and saunas. There is a free of charge option to go to Eger city spa as well. Both breakfast and dinner are fantastic. Rooms are modern, clean and spacious. The Unicorn is the hotel of choice. It's in a great location for walking around the city. The exterior of the hotel seems to have been renovated, so it was a bit different from the interior, but there was a breakfast buffet and it was a comfortable stay.

We stayed here for two nights while wine tasting in Eger. What a lovely spot. We had a nice little apartment (room 6 - although not so great for my husband who is 6’5” because we were on the top floor and the ceilings slanted. Glad he survived.). This is a lovely location with parking for guests (for an extra charge). Quite a bargain and a lovely place.

This is one of my favorite location in Eger. It is a fantastic location right next to the castle wall in the middle of downtown. You can feel the history and the culture radiates from the walls of the building! Actually it is an interesting fact that they used some of the stones from the castle when the hotel was built. Even during Covid they are creative to offer some drinks outside for the tourists...

Mega climatic place almost in the heart of Eger

Really lovely little historic place with small rooms and reasonable prices. The house lady was also really helpful but didn't speak any foreign languages.

It was ok. Our host didn't speak very good English but we managed to make ourselves understood. The room was a little bit dark (it was the one at the ground floor), but it was clean and well prepared. Kitchen was a little bit messy, but we got through it.
