Reviews
My main concern is the location. It’s located really outside the city but near the shopping center with some additional food options. The location is actually the biggest downside. It’s far away from center so if you plan to visit the city it might not be the most optimal choice. The bus ride there was 20+ mins. There is a 35 bus line that goes directly there from the train station quite often on workdays but doesn’t seem to be a thing on weekends. The other lines going in that direction from the city will give you the same duration but with a longer walk through the neighborhood. While it doesn’t seem overly unsafe it also wasn’t also the most comfortable experience in the evenings. I’ve stayed there for 4 nights while having my conference hosted nearby and it was a nice stay considering the price and comparing the price to the other properties nearby.
The rooms were badly decorated, and we had a broken shower.
There are no plugs by the bed.
First night stay we had a fire alarm go off, considering that the first floor rooms are all smoking rooms I'm not surprised!
Don't even think about putting the air conditioning in your room on as the cigarette smoke comes into your room.
There's warnings about your property in your cars as they have a problem with people stealing.
The area around this hotel is an industrial estate, with a shopping centre across the busy road. It's a 10 minute walk to the bus stop through some not safe feeling areas.
Breakfast was poor. Hot food was mostly cold or dried up. The coffee machine was good.
The salad bar at breakfast had rocket available that was slimey.
The bread was good. How can you get a baguette wrong, though.
Selection of cold cheese and meat.
Croissant, 3 different types and some cake that was so dry, you needed a drink of juice to swallow it.
The breakfast staff were all fantastic, friendly, kind, and great at their jobs. The cleaning staff were really good too. Reception staff were OK if you like being ignored. They sit in the back office and ignore you.
It lacks a few things other hotel rooms I've stayed in have. But with all of these things, I love this space. I love this city.
