Recommend this hotel. Having stayed in a few others here I think this is a very practical choice, it’s well located - only a short walk to the old centre. The superior room was exceptionally clean & well equipped with a comfy bed & spacious bathroom. Great for walking to the train station & easy to get a taxi to the airport. The staff were all very friendly & polite. The breakfast was a wonderful surprise, something for everyone.

Unfortunately the hotel rooms are very dated and smelled musty.

Our first time in Bologna, great city by the way, loved it and wished we could have stayed longer! The Hotel Internazionale could not have been better placed to explore the old city and for some great restaurants and bars. Very good rooms with powerful air con and friendly and highly efficient service, we had a small problem with the room safe and it was swapped out in 15 minutes. I would recommend Bologna and this hotel highly.

Well located, excellent service, lovely room and bathroom. We had a deluxe King room. Location on Independence Ave. that is very busy and noisy especially at rush hour with busses and trucks and cars. Recommend a room high up. There is good shopping and not a long walk to restaurants and the old center of town.

I stayed here for a few nights with my mum just before Easter. The location is excellent as it’s central and located between the centre and the train station. We found it was a leisurely 15-20 minute walk to the central area of Bologna and a 5-10 minute walk from the train station which also made it convenient for days trips out of Bologna. We found the room to be clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff we spoke with were both welcoming and processional, in particular the restaurant manager and his team who went the extra mile with their service as well as taking the time to get to know us. The breakfast buffet was very good and offered a varied selection of foods which I felt could cater for anyone. The hotel offers the option of lunch and dinner which we opted for on one of our days after a long day of walking. We found the food to be delicious (although I think it’s hard to go wrong with food in a place such as Bologna). I was relieved to find a hotel that matched our needs and would choose this option again if ever we were to return.

Up market hotel, still affordable but very clean rooms and spacious. Ideally located to explore Bologna. 10 min walk from Central Railway Station.

The hotel is located in the center near the main train station, so if you want a central location - this is a good option. Despite the great description on the booking.com website, in my opinion the hotel does not meet the requirements of a four star hotel. The decor is very old and artificial, the rooms are very small, there is no safe, the bar in the room did not have the products listed. The bathroom and the bathtub were not cleaned, the grout was black in places and the glass wall by the bathtub was not properly insulated, so when taking a shower, water spilled on the floor and the toilet bowl.
The hotel staff was very nice. The breakfast - for a 4 star hotel - is very limited and if you are a vegan or vegetarian, you simply will not have much to eat. My highlight, however, is the instant coffee (!!!!!) from the machine. This seems quite strange to me considering the standard of the hotel.
At check-out I was charged an extra amount for tax, it was over 10 euro. It is not a big amount but why it is not mentioned during the reservation? Another element that does not befit a four star hotel. In summary, I have been in three-star hotels that were of a much higher standard. The price is overstated and the hotel, unfortunately - in my opinion - is not a four-star hotel.

Really oldschool and not above average. If u r fighting with dust allergies u shouldn’t go here. Breakfast take in the city. ;-)

Booked this hotel for 10 people on a girls weekday break in nov 2020 was unable to fly due to covid restrictions hotel would not refund or give a credit note totally unacceptable shame on you !!!!

Very dirty and loud place of hotel location - crowded and full of traffik. Very bad conditions of hotel and room. Poor breakfast. Garage is too far from hotel - several streets away from hotel and very difficult to find. Hotel is located in a zone where is driving only with special permission allowed - you are even not allowed to stop the car to bring a laggage to hotel. Nobody in hotel tells/ informs you about this zone and do not support you. 10 months after my one night stay in the hotel Internationale I received from city Bologna a penalty of the 1000 Euro because of coming with car! The hotel had to make a permission for my car but they did not done it and I had to pay this penalty! I do not recommend this hotel!
