Excellent welcome, very clean rooms, smiling staff, perfect location: close to the train station, city center and the airport. Even though our room was facing the main road, it was very quiet at night.

Review Updated please read below. Nicoletta the manager is a liar and you can read this below. If there is a star less than 1, this is what I would rate the hotel:
One of the worst experiences checking in. Avoid staying here AT ALL COSTS. The lady at reception is completely rude and racist and was yelling at us when she read our last name. She started lecturing me on how to book a hotel room with specifications. When I have proof of writing them multiple emails of my mother’s disability. We had to wait 1 hour to check in and then another hour to recheck in as the room was not ready.
Please avoid staying here. She is completely rude and unwelcoming. WORST HOTEL!!!!!!!

This is a very funny response you sent me because:
1) we checked in at 1:15 PM and I have proof of our train arrival to Bologna. But I will spare you the embarrassment and won’t post the photo of my ticket as proof on Google.
Who told you we checked on at 11 AM and tried to get a room? And you said you accommodated an early check in? We checked in at 2:30pm and you have the security cameras to check.
2) your staff was yelling at us about us requesting 2 twin beds not 1 big bed and said shes doing us a favor for accommodating our request, and I also have proof of me making this request a month ago and no one responded to me. Again, I will spare you the embarrassment of me posting this photo as proof on Google.
Who told you she was explaining the check in process? Why do you apologize for distressing us and then say it’s my behavior?
3) I never said my stay was good. Do you have proof of my review? I also ignored your request on Booking.com for reviewing. I stayed as it was only two nights and we would lose our money. And now I will be adding a bad review on Booking.com as well.
In addition:
4) you wrote me a note to speak to me and marked it as date 25-Nov, but I was only given the note upon check out. So check your security cameras as proof

We stayed at the hotel in April of 2024 . Beautiful immaculate room! Bathroom was marble - huge bathtub w/ shower !
The staff was so sweet ! Most of the staff spoke some English - if they didn’t- they zipped off to find someone who did ( front desk staff spoke English )
Beautiful small garden area with tables / chairs and umbrellas - perfect for the afternoon cocktail & small bites !
Breakfast was included ( buffet ) had American breakfast and Italian breakfast ( sweet ) loved loved it - worked great for me as a vegetarian and my husband a pescatarian for dinners ! We had dinner a few nights - was fresh and lovely ! Waited a bit - but everything was worth waiting for !
A lovely experience- sad that April 2025 when we go to visit family they are already filled to capacity for the Jublilee (‘24-‘26 )

Recommend this hotel. Having stayed in a few others here I think this is a very practical choice, it’s well located - only a short walk to the old centre. The superior room was exceptionally clean & well equipped with a comfy bed & spacious bathroom. Great for walking to the train station & easy to get a taxi to the airport. The staff were all very friendly & polite. The breakfast was a wonderful surprise, something for everyone.

Our first time in Bologna, great city by the way, loved it and wished we could have stayed longer! The Hotel Internazionale could not have been better placed to explore the old city and for some great restaurants and bars. Very good rooms with powerful air con and friendly and highly efficient service, we had a small problem with the room safe and it was swapped out in 15 minutes. I would recommend Bologna and this hotel highly.

Well located, excellent service, lovely room and bathroom. We had a deluxe King room. Location on Independence Ave. that is very busy and noisy especially at rush hour with busses and trucks and cars. Recommend a room high up. There is good shopping and not a long walk to restaurants and the old center of town.

I stayed here for a few nights with my mum just before Easter. The location is excellent as it’s central and located between the centre and the train station. We found it was a leisurely 15-20 minute walk to the central area of Bologna and a 5-10 minute walk from the train station which also made it convenient for days trips out of Bologna. We found the room to be clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff we spoke with were both welcoming and processional, in particular the restaurant manager and his team who went the extra mile with their service as well as taking the time to get to know us. The breakfast buffet was very good and offered a varied selection of foods which I felt could cater for anyone. The hotel offers the option of lunch and dinner which we opted for on one of our days after a long day of walking. We found the food to be delicious (although I think it’s hard to go wrong with food in a place such as Bologna). I was relieved to find a hotel that matched our needs and would choose this option again if ever we were to return.
