Walkable distance to Pisa tower takes about 15-20 mins to get there. Rooms were big and spacious and were also very tidy. The man on the front desk explained to us what the main sites were, and the breakfast was just excellent 👌, but there were no vegan options and some vegetarian options. Also the pool was fun but the water was a bit dirty other than that it was fun.

I made a call with the customer service front desk, and they rudely refused to look up information for me about my upcoming booking and told me that there was other people they needed to help. The call lasted 49 seconds, giving me no time to ask for the support I was even looking for.

I am incredibly concerned about the quality of my stay next week and the service this “5-star” hotel can provide. 5-star includes the service, and this was potentially the worst in all of my abundant travels.

The hotel has horrible management. The pool was so dirty and turbid that you could not see the bottom. I let to call the hotel manager and he looked the pool and said he?. I asked him when he was last time to see the pool and he could NOT remember. I realized he does not care, he does not walk through the hotel. No idea for what he is paid. I told him the pool water is full with bacteria and people especially women get easily an infection. He did not care. Rooms are dirty bath full with fungel and young cleaning lady was on the isle playing with her phone but definitely not doing her job. The reception lady said she was never by the pool she does not care. Horribly managed hotel run by ignorant Italians. Selling the past as the pisa tower bur fully screwing the tourists as mostly in Italy.

Recently visited Hotel Pisa Tower Plaza for 2 nights. Excellent location to visit the tower. About 15 minute walk. Our family room was clean, cool and perfect for us as a family of 4. The addition of the pool is excellent especially in this heat. The staff are friendly and helpful. We read the previous reviews and was apprehensive, but I can't complain. You can clearly see it was a 5 star, now needs some investment. But we couldn't fault our stay and would stay again.

This is probably the only hotel I've been to where I've had to wait until 3pm to get into my room. I appreciate that check-in is from 3pm, but if check-out is 11am sharp, that's four hours to turn over a room... (The cleaning person was still in my room when I eventually checked in: the bathroom floor was soaking and stank of bleach. And my room oddly had two lockable doors, one of which was left unlocked and open until I realised - before I went to bed).

Anyway, the staff were friendly enough, though slow, upon check-in.

But not very helpful when they informed me that the hotel gym was closed due to service work (no idea why the hotel profile on Expedia showed photos of a fitness room). No compensation offered for this misdemeanour.

The room was large - nice enough (except for the blocked shower drain, broken shower door and lack of lighting - upon checkout, when I mentioned how difficult it was to use the shower, the receptionist just said "I'll let maintenance know" - well done, you!). For a five-star hotel, I'm surprised the phones were down the night I stayed. And there is no laundry service. I couldn't wait to check out.

Other basics missing in the room were a door viewer, a tissue box and a plug next to the bed (unless you unplugged the lamp, and trust me, you need that tiny light in the dimly lit room!).

Two stars given for the spacious room + proximity to the Metro station + Leaning Tower. Would I come back?
Based on service and false advertising, probably not.

We chose the hotel for the pool area which was a really nice place to chill and enjoy the Tuscan sunshine away from the tourist crowds.

I wouldn’t say the hotel is 5 ⭐️. Maybe once upon a time as the public areas do look really nice. Our room was big and we had wonderful views of the town centre and tower. I would say for the money we paid it was good value.

Pros:
large hotel with excellent pool area
Good and varied breakfast with a nice choice of cold Italian meats, breads and fresh orange juice
Friendly staff, mainly the pool bar team and some receptionists
Decent location - 15/20 mins walk to town and there are also nice restaurants in the nearby area
Pool bar food is really good quality and we enjoyed the Prosecco at a great price
Nice big bath towels in room

Cons:
The coffee machines!!! It was a chore trying to get a coffee either in or room or at breakfast. We gave up with the in room one and you had to stand over it and press for hot water every few seconds. Even if we wanted one the next day we couldn’t anyway as housekeeping never replaced the pods again. As for the breakfast coffee machine…it’s a simple fix that no one wants to be bothered with. There’s only 1 for a start and it constantly needs attention. The staff just don’t seem to want to bother with the constantly perplexed guests who always seem to have an issue with it. The biggest one being the cappuccino option does not work. A simple sign saying ‘don’t select cappuccino’ would solve many issues. The poor lady working the breakfast shift is busy enough without this. She seems to do everything while the boys stand around waiting on instruction from her. She even has to tell them to clear the tables 🙈
Housekeeping not up to standard. Dirty corners and dust in our room and outside corridor floors were filthy. Took our bathrobes and never replaced them or the coffee.
Strange experience from some staff. They would be friendly and helpful depending on their mood. The concierge on arrival is the only one I’ve ever experienced who doesn’t help the guests with their luggage and never bothered to tell us how to work the door lock. He only came to show us how to work the electric curtains because he was told to. Simply can’t be bothered to do his job.

Good location. Walking distance to the tower. Hotel is claiming 5 stars ( the price per night is definitely for 5 stars), but I would only gave 1. Hotel is old, beat up and unloved. Even in my Flipflops I didn’t want to get in the shower. The tub in the bathroom was broken, the carpets are filthy. I was shocked and glad that we only had to stay there a night.

Customer service is very bad from the reception. No water at the room, no tea & coffee at the room not even a kettle. When we humbly request the these basic items didn't show much interest. But the room and the bathroom is nice and clean. Service at the restaurant is somewhat satisfactory. After taking 6 rooms this is our honest feedback.

Me and my partner stayed here one night on the first of April which is a holiday in Italy. Our first impression was a very distracted receptionist who gave us wrong information stating the restaurant was open when it was closed.

The location for the hotel is good, 15-20 minute walk to the leaning tower of Pisa. The walk passes through a sad, dark, tunnel though.

This hotel is five stars, which brought up my expectations a lot, I see the potential but everything feels torn and not maintained.
The door handle comes of the door when closing, cracked plastic and bad caulk work on sockets and joints.

They provided towels, hygiene products for shower which was nice but no robe.

The rooms had nice TV, spacious rooms, good WiFi, mini-bar and safes which was all nice features. The breakfast was okay.

I would visit again if I come to Pisa, but keep your expectations down regarding the rating.

We were extremely dissatisfied with our experience at this hotel. Despite its claim to be a 5-star establishment, it fell far short of even a 2-star rating. The condition of the rooms was appalling. The floors were worn and damaged, the ceilings showed signs of imminent detachment, the balcony door was faulty and wouldn't fully open, and the drawers in the cupboard were dangerously loose. Furthermore, we were disappointed to discover that the advertised swimming pool was undergoing renovation during our stay. No prior communication was made regarding this inconvenience, and we received no compensation for the lack of access to this facility. Additionally, the hotel's policy of allowing animals to roam freely within the premises was highly inappropriate for such an environment and caused considerable disturbance. Overall, our stay was highly unsatisfactory, and we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
