I really enjoyed my time at Novotel Salerno Est Arechi. First, the check-in was so smooth and fast. The ladies and gentlemen at the reception desk were always so helpful and friendly. The rooms are very modern and clean. There is a train station near the hotel very easy to use. As a savy traveler, I found this hotel perfect for my needs

Good location with sea view.
There is a good shop nearby in 5 minutes.
Good service, any issues that arise are resolved quickly.
The rooms are clean.
Convenient underground free parking, from the parking you can easily go up to your floor.

The location was a real let-down. The walk from Salerno Arbostella station to the hotel is ridden with trash with corresponding odours. Other than that this hotel is really quite nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is a big plus. It's clean, monitored for the full opening period and clean towels are provided daily.
The fact that the pool was so nice also greatly made up for the fact that the only beach around is a private one, apparently reserved for personnel from the armed forces and police.

Nice and clean hotel! Very nice service at the restaurant! girls at the reception are very professional! The breakfast buffet had a good selection of baking goods and coffee drinks. The closest beach is about 7 minutes walk away and costs 15 euros per person and the free beach is 15 min away.

The hotel is “ok”. Not cheap, and rooms relatively old, but comfortable. The location is good and close to a beach club, but not close to the ferry port. The reason for my 2 stars was really the service. The guy that checked us in was really nice and kind, and most of the front desk staff was fine. When we checked out, we asked them to hold our bags since we were going to beach (we checked out at 10am and would come back around 3pm)… on our way back to pick it up we bought sandwiches for the kids. Well, they ended up denying us to seat on the open restaurant or outside area “with food that was not from the hotel”, and said we could only consume food from their restaurant or go back and eat in the room, but they were not serving anything. We also couldn't go back to our room since we had checked out early. Anyway, I thought was pretty sad to deny a 9 year old and a 4 year old to eat a McDonald’s while I was loading the luggage in the car… pretty lame from their staff.

The Novotel Salerno Est Arechi hotel was a bit of a disappointment. The exterior and lobby areas looked tired and in need of a refresh, and our room was no exception. The decor was outdated, and the bed, while comfortable, was starting to show its age. The bathroom was clean, but the fixtures and fittings were worn and could use an update.
The staff, however, were a bright spot in our stay. They were friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to help us with any requests we had. The breakfast buffet was also a highlight, with a wide selection of options and a pleasant atmosphere.
Despite these positives, however, the overall state of the hotel was a letdown. The hallways and public areas could use a refresh, and the rooms themselves felt tired and in need of modernization. For a one-night stay, it was adequate, but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay or for anyone looking for a more luxurious experience. With a bit of investment and renovation, this hotel could be great, but for now, it's just average.

Had an absolutely amazing stay here whilst on a road trip around Italy, me and 2 other friends stayed on the 19th and the 21st of January 2024 and we couldn’t of asked for a nicer place to stay.
The rooms were clean and well kept including a mini bar and extra pillows and towels if you need them. The staff were attentive and extremely friendly! There is also an abundance of parking here so if you have a car you can park for FREE!
Will be staying here again when I next drive around Italy, thank you for the amazing stay

Advertised as having air conditioning, NOT True after certain date, false advertising, would not have stayed here if I had known this. Stayed for a week in November, room was hot, had to open window which had no screen allowing bugs/ mosquitoes to get in. Opening window also let in noise from guests arriving at late hours. Had quite a bit of rain, so we had to close the window... we have travelled to many countries. love Italy but this was the worst experience we have ever had due to the discomfort of the room. Discussed with front desk, but there was nothing they could do due to outdated central heat/cool system. DO NOT STAY HERE, there are better alternatives, both my wife and I ended up with several bug bites, not sure if it was bed bugs or the open window
