Horrible experience and sadly on my 60th birthday. I slept in basically a dorm room. No closet, no place to put luggage, no restaurant, no bar, 20 minutes from anything. Nothing near. Absolutely horrible and this was booked as part of my travel package with GLOBUS. Not only was the experience terrible in working with them, but this was supposed to be a step up from standard hotels and what a joke on me that was. The staff actually said that Globus guest complain so much that they are considering no longer doing business with them. That would be a great thing for anyone stupid enough to use Globus for their travel agent. I did read the terrible reviews and tried to change the hotel with Globus weeks prior to the trip. Of course Globus said I have to actually have an issue with them before they could consider a change. So I guess staying two nights, they prefer their customers to be in the misery before doing anything about it. Check the map and stay somewhere else. This is clearly a place for a 20-yr-old to stay. Not a mature adult who appreciates good food, a nice drink and a decent hotel. This has none of those things.

Our stay at this hotel was a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience, and it is absolutely not worth the money paid for the level of service and cleanliness provided.

The most significant issue was the room condition. We checked in late at night and discovered the next morning that the shower was extremely unsanitary and filled with visible mold.

When we reported this serious cleanliness issue to the front desk, the individual identifying himself as the hotel manager displayed an appalling lack of professionalism. He was confrontational, spoke to us disrespectfully, and treated our legitimate complaint as if we were making a false accusation.

We requested to be moved to another room later that day, as we were leaving immediately for a pre-booked tour. The manager was completely inflexible, stating we had to pack and move immediately or he would not be able to assist us in the evening. His refusal to accommodate a simple request for a few hours demonstrated a fundamental misunderstanding of hospitality and customer service.

It is genuinely baffling that someone with such poor people skills and unprofessional demeanor is placed in a management role overseeing guest relations. This interaction and the room's condition severely ruined our stay.

Adding more to the response from hotel -
The hotel manager didn’t request us I doubt he even knows what requesting means. You clearly have your facts wrong. We checked in around 6PM went to room, kept our things and left to go out and then came back very late. Molds discovery was done in the early morning the next day when we used the shower and you have to have some kind of nerve telling me all this nonsense. Before leaving the hotel that morning is when we went to inform the front desk. That is when we had that interaction with so called manager(I would not keep him even as a cleaning staff). On the same evening when we came back to hotel we spoke to another person at front desk he was kind and apologised but we didn’t ask him to change our room we told him how upset we were because of how the manger spoke to us in the morning and as it was the last night and we didn’t have energy to shift rooms.
So before responding with some random crap, better fact check and then respond.
If you don’t know what black mold is then google it. It’s a joke that you even mention that you check rooms before handing over, unless you live in such a poor condition then for sure you would not find it unhygienic.
I suggest put on your reading glasses and go through the videos of our interaction to know exactly what happend before leaving crappy response.

Clean, modern and convenient for walking to all major sights. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and quite tasty. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. My room was super tiny but okay for one person. I recommend asking for a room away from the elevator which was quite noisey being right outside my door and with guests chatting there.

Our experience was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious. The location is good, and a short distance from Santa Maria Novella station. They have a coffee and tea counter that residents can access free of cost anytime. There is a vending machine too. Unfortunately , it doesn't work most of the time. Overall, I had a good impression of the hotel.

Location was decent but not the best, still a bit of walk from the main Florence station

I was under impression that the place was renovated in 2022. It didn't feel that way, and much of the facilities and room decoration felt dated, worn and used

Everything is really fine in the place, clean place and excellent service, location is top and parking is really convenient. Unfortunately the noise isolation between rooms is really poor! You can listen to the people next door even when they flush the toilet or the cellphone ringing even in vibration mode, it was hard to sleep some nights here specially because of people close to our room doing noise and party at night!

We had a great time at this hotel! It’s in a perfect location, just a short walk to the train station and tons of restaurants and tourist attractions—everything from 10 to 23 minutes away, which is why we chose it. The service was excellent; we met several front desk staff members, and they were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable, too. I’m giving it 4 stars because our sink was clogged from day one, and we were surprised no one caught that, especially since every water drop took forever to drain.

Overall, we’d definitely stay here again!

This is by far the best hotel in Florence!!
The staff are very friendly and professional, the room was very nice and spotless. The continental breakfast was the best we ever had. My husband and I stayed at a couple hotels in Florence and this place should be rated a 5 star hotel. Thank you to all the staff for making my husband and I’s 20th wedding anniversary the BEST memories in our stay in Italy. Love from your Canadian customers ♥️
