Al Thuraya Hotel in Amman

All the wall clock stopped in our rooms..
breakfast is not good. Not much items to eat..

We did stay in Al Thuraya Hotel from 4/16-4/20 2023. The hotel was booked as part of a Jordan Tour by the travel agency.

Hotel:
- no restaurant, no bar, no international drinks and/or Alkohol
- no possibility to sit outside in the sun and relax after a long day
- no outdoor pool, dirty and dusty indoor pool

Breakfast:
- terrible Service, not enough service crew available
- dirty coffee cups.
- no standard coffee machine available, just bad coffee.
- just plan toast served, no proper bread
- egg, omelet Service bad chef, very oily
- plates of guests remain at the tables for long time
- no small spoons available

Evening meal:
- no service available (just 1 person for 37 people); therefore no drinks served
- no standard drinks available, no Alkohol available
- dirty plates, no small spoons available,
- glasses dirty, hotel does not seem to have a dish washer or not use proper cleaning tabs
- food was ok

Bar:
- There is no bar in the hotel. Just some soft drinks available and non- alcoholic beer.
- dirty glasses given, also here no dish washer used

Rooms:
- no towel service, towels did not get changed over 4 days even when dirty and dropped on the floor!
- dirty rooms
- toilet was broken in our room.
- glasses dusty and disgusting
- even after tipping cleaning staff 10 eur, the Situation did not change. Towels were nit changed (which was disgusting as we used them to clean the mess of the toilet)
- no international TV channels and/or Netflix available
- click at the wall was not working as out of battery
- windows not clean
Overall the rooms looked like not being used in a while!
- rooms very big (bed room with king bed, living room, bath room)

Internet / WiFi service:
- poor, every room had own WiFi device, no reliable connection
- separate internet WiFi for Lobby needed, still bad service
- no internet in breakfast room

Pool:
- no outdoor pool
- indoor poor very small, all furniture was dusty, looked like not being cleaned in a while
- toilettes dirty, not cleaned at pool area next to breakfast room! Even the doorknobs were covered in dust…

Security:
- there was a security guy at the hotel, a security Metall detector but the guy was always playing at mobile phone, no bag checks done.

- red carpet at entrance was a trip hazard and did not get repaired while we were there.

Overall the hotel looked like it was just opened for our group. There are no local guests in the hotel which says a lot. I would not recommend to stay in this hotel and will advice our travel agency to not book this hotel ever again for a group! Local business people or families already are avoiding the hotel.

The hotel needs new management with attention to detail and experience in hotel services, better cleaning service and daily towel service are basics that should be done! Take a Uber or taxi to the city or mall and eat there….

Worst hotel been to. Not clean, old furniture and very poor food.
