5 star hotels in Phnom Penh

Formerly called Intercontinental Hotel, but it’s name has been changed when there’s a change of ownership. When COVID-19 hit Cambodia in 2020, it was since used as treatment facility for patients with mild symptoms.

The first 5-star hotel in Cambodia as InterContinental Phnom Penh. The hotel hosted mostly dignitaries, celebraties head of states, Royalty, President, etc. It is rebranded as The Great Duke Phnom Penh.

We stayed here last year when it was still the Intercontinental. It's a large hotel a bit dated with a great swimming pool on the 4th floor. Staff was courteous and food was decent and reasonable priced. The only minor con is the location is not as convenient to stay for independent travelers like us since it's a bit far from all the tourists' spots.

Great ambience. No free Wi-Fi, unless you are overnight guests.

if you want a taste of luxury among the huzzle of the city this is the perfect spot. within walking distance to the palace and the waterfront. sanctuary and oasis.

it was an extremely luxurious hotel for us. the swimming pool, hot pool and gym were out of this world. they even had a steam bath and himalayan salt room. the location was very near all the major attractions and right outside there’s a very yummy spring roll kiosk to satiate our supper cravings. the staff were very accommodating and friendly. i would recommended this hotel for sure

Everything is good. Tuk-tuks can pick you up at the lobby entrance, which is convenient and free from traffic jams; all service staff are very nice. But except for the toothpaste, it is difficult to use, like a lump of flour, this toothpaste really affects the experience.

2nd time staying at this hotel and the service here was just impeccable. Room was huge AND clean, cleaners took the effort to even tidy up my charging cables and left me a cleaning cloth for my glasses. I had VIP business guests to take care of and was able to entrust the hotel staff and driver, Mr Sanan to ensure a smooth stay for them. Amazing experience at the Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh. The location is excellent to explore the capital of Cambodia. The service is next level. The French colonial architecture of the hotel is so beautiful and inspiring.

Breakfast could've afforded a wider selection, but I'm still pleased with the service, decor, cleanliness, and comfort of my stay. Not to mention the stunning, sky-scraping city views throughout the hotel.

Spent a couple of nights here. Good hotel in a good part of the city, just a few minutes walk from the royal palace. The room was excellent. The front desk and room service staff could use a few customer service training. They were indifferent at times. Overall, it's a nice hotel.

Perfectly located across the road from the royal palace, this is the perfect escape from the bustle of the city. Staff are incredible, hotel is very clean, (puts many luxury hotels in Australia to shame), prices for on-site restaurant etc are very fair. Recommend the airport shuttle and the hotel tuk tuks. My driver took me on a spontaneous day trip to Phnom Chisor, and was my guide and interpreter...

Wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Breakfast very good, and the room is large and comfortable. Slippers, robes, provided. My room has a small kitchen area for extended stays. Location is excellent if you are looking for a quiet area. If you want to walk out the door and have shops all around then this won’t be for you. Overall a very pleasant stay.

An above and excellent massage from Cham Chaa in the spa.. her professional skills were the best I have ever had! After a long flight and very sore she made me feel very relaxed and I can not rate her highly enough

It was close to the promenade by the Mekong River, the Royal Palace and not far from the Central Market. The breakfast buffet was amazing and varied, and we tried a few dishes on their local menu for dinner that were delicious. A must stay if you travel to Phnom Penh for business purpose, the luxury of a five-star hotel. Situated in a quiet street, this hotel can be a haven from the hustle bustle of this vibrant city. They provide complimentary airport pickup and drop-off by a luxury car, welcome drink and cold towel upon arrival, daily breakfast and shuttle service to downtown. The service was excellent! Overall an absolutely beautiful stay and the location was perfect overlooking the mekon river. We spent a day at The Balé Phnom Penh, and it was perfect for relaxing. We didn’t stay the night, but we came to swim, have lunch, and unwind. The pool is beautiful, and the view of the Mekong River is amazing—really peaceful. We only had the burger, but it was so good! The flavors were different from what I’ve had before, and it tasted really fresh. We also had some fruit juice, which was super refreshing...

5 stars. We stayed here in 2023, 2024, and we'll likely stay here again. There seems to be more staff compared to our first visit. Management seems to be doing more and better? I had a wonderful time at The Bale throughout the weekend. It was my second visit since 2018, and the friendly service, clean and unique room conditions were outstanding. I was also captivated by the excellent food. The breakfast was delicately prepared, and the dinner menu was really delicious. Room was good But we didn't know have to pay government pay (tax). Much better talk to guest before we order room service. Other things was nice.

Not the most impressive casino in the world. It lacks the excitement of Las Vegas, the mass of money of Macau, the elegance of Monaco. It needs a makeover. The Le Gourmet restaurant is very good even if the chef doesn't know how to make short crust pastry. But the name, so pompous.

The only and best casino in Phnom Penh. It has so many restaurants and the food is pretty good.

As always, a real treat to stay here. Everything is on hand and staff help out without being pushy. Mr Sambeth sorted out my early start to catch the 6 am train with breakfast ready and no hassle getting there in good time. The location with the view across the city and river makes it a special place.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The window could not be opened. There was a bathtub, and the hot water was plenty, but the shower pressure was weak. It was nice that there was a large 1.5L bottle of drinking water and a small 300mL bottle of drinking water. You can watch some movies on the TV, but the batteries in the remote control ran out and it no longer worked. I was surprised when I poured...

This hotel has a great view and the price is also very reasonable. The birdsong you hear in the morning is also very nice. It is a quiet and relaxing hotel. It is far from the center of Phnom Penh Royal Palace by Grab taxi, but you can take a ferry for 500 lira per person in a straight line, so it is enough to use the ferry transportation with a new experience.
