We are staying at The Bale , for our 30 th Wedding anniversary, and it is an oasis of beauty and calm . The staff are so kind, efficient and discreet. They presented us with a beautiful celebration cake. I love this hotel, everything is so consider. The food is delicious, the breakfast has so much choice , I chose a local breakfast dish, it was great. Highly recommend if you want to be out of the frantic city

I had the pleasure of staying at The Bale Phnom Penh in the River Front Suite, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The suite itself was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered a stunning view of the river — made even more special with a private jacuzzi to relax in.
The atmosphere throughout the property was calm and inviting, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with a wonderful variety to choose from, and the service was excellent. The restaurant staff were exceptionally polite, attentive, and made every meal feel special.
Overall, everything about my stay was perfect from the room to the service. I highly recommend

We had a lovely one-night staycation to celebrate our anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The team went out of their way to make sure everything was thoughtfully prepared for our arrival. The room was beautifully equipped, incredibly cozy, and made it hard to leave – we found ourselves wanting to just relax and soak it all in.
The staff were exceptionally well-trained, friendly, and always ready to help. Though our stay was short, it was truly memorable. We only wish we had more time. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway – even just once is worth it.

From the moment we arrived, The Bale offered a rare sense of privacy and calm that’s increasingly hard to find. The 25-meter pool overlooking the river is simply stunning — the perfect place to relax at any time of day.
The atmosphere is intimate, elegant and discreet. Rooms are massive, minimalistic yet warm, with every comfort you could want.
A special thank you to Sylvaine, the French manager, whose presence makes a real difference. She clearly runs a tight ship: the staff is attentive, gracious and genuinely caring.
This is the kind of place where you feel truly looked after, without fuss. We’ll definitely be back.

I’ve been returning to The Bale Phnom Penh every year since 2018, and it remains my favorite place to disconnect.
The hotel offers a rare balance of peace, space and thoughtful design — with its stunning 25-meter pool along the river, massive, serene and huge rooms, and a quiet atmosphere that feels far from the chaos of the city, yet within reach when needed.
The food is excellent and priced fairly, the service is discreet and warm, and above all, there’s a loyal, seasoned team — some staff have been here since my very first stay (reception, executive chef, etc.) . That says everything about the management, led with professionalism and care by Sylvaine.
To truly appreciate this place, you need to stay more than one night — ideally a few. Whether you’re looking to fully unplug or use it as a base to explore Phnom Penh, give yourself the time to let the calm settle in. You won’t regret it.

Overall an absolutely beautiful stay and the location was perfect overlooking the mekon river.
I proposed marriage to my girlfriend with a romantic on balcony 7 course dinner..the setting and atmosphere created by the staff was beautiful and perfect for the occasion.
The food was disappointing, all meals were brought to us cold and they rushed the service of the dinner. The duck was dry and like rubber and was fed to a stray cat the wondered into our balcony area. Over all the charges for the dinner did not support the quality and freshness of the food provided.

I love this hotel, I go there for business but its a great place for leisure also. Amazing view of the mekong near the pool and breakfast is top notch. Highly recommend!

We spent a day at The Balé Phnom Penh, and it was perfect for relaxing. We didn’t stay the night, but we came to swim, have lunch, and unwind. The pool is beautiful, and the view of the Mekong River is amazing—really peaceful.
We only had the burger, but it was so good! The flavors were different from what I’ve had before, and it tasted really fresh. We also had some fruit juice, which was super refreshing after being by the pool.
Overall, it was a great place to spend the day. If you’re looking for somewhere to chill with good food and a great view, I’d definitely recommend it!
