First, we checked in to a room the aircond was only blow warm air, and bathroom only provides one toothbrush. We then requested to change to another room. This second room the aircond is perfect except for room amenities, again there’s nothing provided except for towels. I have to request room service to refill what is necessary. Second and third day, they clean the room but without replace amenities...

The place was good. The location was also good. Walking distance to Aeon Mall. The rooms are not so big but they are clean. The cleaners only cleaned the main bedroom and living room. They didn’t even empty the kitchen trash. You have to ask for more room supplies like tissues after they have cleaned. Not sure if l can recommend others to stay there as they are not so honest about people’s belongings

Formerly called Intercontinental Hotel, but it’s name has been changed when there’s a change of ownership. When COVID-19 hit Cambodia in 2020, it was since used as treatment facility for patients with mild symptoms.

The first 5-star hotel in Cambodia as InterContinental Phnom Penh. The hotel hosted mostly dignitaries, celebraties head of states, Royalty, President, etc. It is rebranded as The Great Duke Phnom Penh.

We stayed here last year when it was still the Intercontinental. It's a large hotel a bit dated with a great swimming pool on the 4th floor. Staff was courteous and food was decent and reasonable priced. The only minor con is the location is not as convenient to stay for independent travelers like us since it's a bit far from all the tourists' spots.

The hotel building is relatively new, however the room was a bit run down. Very few TV channels in English. No hair dryer. The hotel location is convenient for those willing to stay close to the airport. There are very few cafes and restaurants around in the area. Commuting downtown takes at least 15-20 minutes by tuk tuk (10 usd).

April 2025 3.8 stars. Was given a room on the 5th floor, it looks as though the entire floor has been renovated and refreshed. Not sure if the same can be said about all the floors. The room was amazing. The restaurants were really good. The concierge helped us arrange a Tuk Tuk to explore everyday. The driver was wonderful. And the pool and gym facilities were superb. Everything is good. Tuk-tuks can pick you up at the lobby entrance, which is convenient and free from traffic jams; all service staff are very nice. But except for the toothpaste, it is difficult to use, like a lump of flour, this toothpaste really affects the experience.

We had an amazing time during our stay at Garden City Hotel. It was our honeymoon. Great rooms and excellent showers in the en-suites. The only 2 things that let this hotel down is the lack of daylight in 40% of the rooms due to windows opening to a void and the hot breakfast. The hot breakfast on the buffet is stone cold, but once the waiting team reheat your selection, it’s great. The rest of the buffet is good and the coffee excellent.
