But for me my partner and my kids it was a great experience.
The room was perfect, spacious for the 4 of us. The staff helped us with a crib as requested.
The view was astonishing, and considering the high temperature that happened on January 1st in all the Balkan, we did enjoy it a lot.
The location is the best in Tivat.
I would love to visit again!
- Some of the bottled amenities in the room have gone really bad, with greasy smell and cheesy texture.
- The glasses provided in the room had obviously never been washed. Welcome nuts were stale and inedible.
- The closet was dirty.
- Having no plates or cooking/ eating utensils in the kitchenette was also quite strange.
- SPA Sauna and steam rooms were quite underwelming. Pool stinks.
However, the biggest letdown was how the hotel completely overlooked my partner’s birthday, despite us notifying them at the time of booking. The front desk assistant even acknowledged it upon check-in, mentioning they would prepare a beautiful cake for him. We traveled 7 hours by air and 2 hours by land for this trip, hoping to make it perfect. Sadly, the property did nothing—no card, no cake, not even a simple acknowledgment of his special day.
We ended up dining at Maya Bay, a restaurant at the property, to at least celebrate on our own. The waiter noticed it was a birthday dinner and wished my partner a happy birthday, but things only got more frustrating from there. Halfway through the meal, the restaurant crew started singing “Happy Birthday.” I naturally thought it was for us, only to realize it was for another table. I kept waiting, thinking our turn would come next, but it never did. We left the restaurant feeling overlooked and incredibly disappointed. What was meant to be a special celebration turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience.
Cons: Rooms are a little tired. Service can be improved. Without going into details, I had requested to change room, to which the reception staff was a little impatient. The room was eventually changed but the experience was not pleasant. When I moved into the new room, a wrong greetings card was placed along with sweets and wine that were meant for another guest.
I had filled in an online review survey as required by the hotel, and I provided a similar feedback. The hotel responded quickly to say, in a nutshell, “just to remind you, you did book a room with no view” without going into details about service levels. Again, it’s not pleasant to receive such response when you were promoted to provide a review, but it was quickly brushed aside.
Overall, when you paid almost 400 euros per night you would expect more, and the hotel has not really met my expectations
