Really nice place, the View is great. Rooms are clean, bathroom new! Cleaning every day, and the possibility to book free sauna session with jacuzzi. The stuff is nice, funny and really relaxed ☺️, it’s close to everything 🧜🏼♀️🩵 I recommend 🎉

we really enjoyed our stay at the diplomat hotel! the room was very comfortable, clean and well equipped (smart tv, toiletteries, towels, snacks & drinks), the only downside were the thin walls. breakfasts were okay, nothing special, but there was a lot to choose from, we never left hungry. nice sea view from the balcony too! it's a bit hard to find a parking space close to the hotel though.

I stayed in the Diplomat Hotel for 3 nights and it was basically "fine," but lots of things were just a little bit inexplicably broken. For example, the AC in my room definitely just blew hot air, the fridge in the room *kind of* worked, but didn't keep things very cold and had a puddle of water (or something else) inside of it, and the wifi was constantly cutting out.
None of these were critical issues for my stay since it wasn't very hot (December) and I wasn't using my wifi much, but in hotter weather (where AC / fridge is more important) or if working remotely, I would not recommend staying here.
On the bright side, the rooftop pool was nice, the sauna was an interesting perk, and the breakfast was actually pretty good for a hotel breakfast. If you're just looking for a cheap place, this place will do, but it won't be a luxury experience.

Avoid this hotel! It's not a four-star hotel, a lot of things broken or worn out. In the room the safe did not lock, the fridge did not work, the pressure in the shower was non-existent and really poor sound insulation. A shocking bang every time the door to a neighbor's room closed. But most of all, do not go here, because there are dishonest staff here. EUR 155 was stolen from my room. I accidentally left my wallet visible when I left for a while. And this happened on the morning of departure when I did not expect anyone from the morning to come. After all, it is not customary for the cleaner to come early on the morning of departure before you have checked out. 20 minutes out of the room and in the meantime someone had visited the room. There was no access to the room from outside, so someone used the key. The hotel did nothing about it. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Well appointed hotel. On the quieter side of Sliema Bay. Close to restaurants and bars. Excellent breakfast, wide choice of food which is regularly replaced with fresh dishes during the breakfast time. Would recommend when visiting Valletta and surrounding area. Roof top pool a bonus after a hot day sightseeing.

Location is amazing. Super convenient on the Sliema promenade which I loved walking along. Close to restaurants. 15 minute walk to Sliema ferries. Buses take you everywhere.
Disappointed with a few aspects. I only booked for 3 days with intention of staying longer but I ended up changing hotels.
Only one staff who was friendly at breakfast who made the effort to greet hotel guests.
I had water view which was beautiful. But I can’t explain it, I just didn’t love it overall.

From the minute we arrived at the hotel the we received a warm genuine welcome. The reception staff were very quick and efficient getting us checked in and settled into our room. The room was of a very high standard and were cleaned every day by the hard working staff.
We meet a guy in the Gym who’s name is Mr.Rup from housekeeping and he is checking everything is to the guests expectations and is happy to chat with guests and ask if there is anything he can do to enhance their stay.
There is nothing negative I could say about this hotel in anyway everything was excellent and I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Excellent location, on the Tower road, very well connected to all parts of Malta via public transportation.
Room is spacious, well equipped (except for the fact it only has 1 wall socket!!!), just what you would normally expect from a 4-star hotel.
Service is OK, check-in was quick and easy (we got two complimentary glasses of prosecco).
Breakfast is very good, with excellent choice of options.
The pool on the roof (and the magnificent view) give this hotel special touch.

Overall this does not feel like a 4 star hotel. For cheaper you can stay in the much better AX Victoria. The man working at check in was extremely unfriendly. Room was basic and run down with a smell lingering in it. The bathroom was tiny and the design layout made it hard to enter and exit. We did have a nice sea view. Breakfast was very poor- multiple machines broken. The coffee machines were both broken so we were advised to go upstairs to the hotel cafe and order one for free there. It took me ten minutes to get my coffee. I thought hotel staff would have brought the coffees down. Fruit didn’t seem fresh and there was a poor selection. There were little flies flying everywhere.
