The room was clean and very spacious. We had no issues! The hotel is in a fab place to explore with a lot of amenities near by. I would definitely recommend Intercontinental and would defo be staying here again

First time in Malta and not just a great location to explore from but an amazing hotel stay too! From the moment we stepped in the, the staff were always pleasant and always helpful

Bed frame peeling 😩 If you go for a swim in the pool there are no showering facilities or changing rooms prepare to pay €15 to use them along with the small sauna or walk back to your room with wet swimming costume

We stayed one week at the hotel Excelsior at the end of November, and I have no words to express my gratitude to everyone who made our stay such a wonderful experience! From the reception team, the young, tall doorman who always paid special attention to our 3-year old boy, the cleaning staff, to the restaurant crew — everyone was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely polite

Our suite was so spacious and comfortable that we sometimes preferred staying in and relaxing over going out

Breakfast was very basic and not very tasty just mass produced cheap produce. If you want an espresso you need to pay extra only standard filter coffee and tea available

Floor 4 was near to the Indian restaurant and the cooking smell became very over bearing at times

Light didn't always work in the room so make sure you have a light on your phone

We had to wait for a few hours before we could get our room but we relaxed in the large lobby. The rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished

We were advised to open the balcony doors for ventilation, which was not a realistic solution due to constant noise from children screaming at the pool below noted the entire day

The hotel operates on a central system that switches between heat or AC depending on the season. During our stay, it was warm during the day, but AC was not available

We liked staying here during winter, and I believe it’s amazing during summer. The only thing we weren’t very impressed by was the indoor pool/spa space. It felt slightly outdated and in need of refurbishing

I recently stayed at the Westin Dragonara in Malta and had a mixed experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and offers true 5-star amenities

The only thing I would say is the TV needed to be a bit more updated in terms of apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. The rooftop with the outdoor pool is really beautiful and the views are breathtaking

The Temptasian restaurant was not quite the atmosphere described - food was good but they seated us at a table right near the kitchen without good ventilation and made it feel like a sauna then a restaurant

Rooms are clean, large and comfortable, service is fantastic, beautiful hotel. Of the restaurants, the Rooftop Bar was the best for dinner- they were outstanding service, drinks and food

Location is good too - right in the hub of St Julian's, not too noisy either and maid service everyday (thanks for folding my PJs every day!!)

Last but not least is the excellent customer service. When we arrived at the hotel I was absolutely blown away by the very kind and personal approach from the young receptionist Walid who was speaking english very well

Next day I asked if it is possible to maybe find a new room for me because I am a sensitive person when it comes to noises from the streets and our room was facing the main street which is busy even during the night and was immediately taken care of by the hotel manager and customer service agent who showed me a possible replacement room and they prepared it for me in just an hour

The hotel is in a great location, the staff is helpful and efficient. Loredana for their help with a special request - preparing a birthday surprise for my partner. We really liked the outdoor and indoor pool

We cannot fault this hotel in anyway, we arrived early around 11:00 for our reservation, we were able to leave our bags with the concierge and were given a pass to the M Club on the 13th floor ahead of our check in which meant we could grab some snacks and the tail end of breakfast before heading to the pool

Also, staff are friendly and helpful. Location is also quite good, walking distance to many restaurants. Though Westin is right across the street, I would strongly consider Vivaldi for next stays

The service is almost non-existent, and the front desk service attitude is average. But all hotels abroad are like this, so I can give it a 4 point overall

The sea view is nice, but that's all. The price is 200 euros a night, the room is average, the breakfast is generally okay but not very tasty and messy

Beautiful grounds with great pools. Very clean rooms and a great balcony with sea views. We even received an upgrade on site. Breakfast was very varied. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Airport reachable within 20 minutes.

We had a lovely large suite with ample storage and two bathrooms! We even had a choice of 2 balconies and a large roof terrace! Outdoor pool was a little nippy!! Hardly surprising in November 🤣🤣 Malta is stunning!!

Everything is awesome. But it is little bit difficult to go by public transport. Nearest bus stop is just two line, 14 and 120. Apart from this point we have a great experience.

Was so busy, trying to see around the Island , we never had a chance to use anything within the hotel, such as spa, pool etc , this was our fault, we hadn't thought about, until we got home

We found the Preluna ,a great base,for catching transport to see around the Island, it was our first time, our stay was too brief, will plan it better for our next visit, to maximise our chance to appreciate what this wonderful country has to offer

Breakfast was faultless, an amazing range to choose from, great selection of juices,water & hot drinks. We also tried the theme night evening meals( Italian & Mediterranean), €24 was great value for money

I had hoped to extend by they couldn't give me the same room rate so I moved hotel, which was a shame as it was a good spot. Its close enough to walk to most places, or get a Bolt car

We have just spent our Christmas here and we had a great time. Breakfast was very good with a selection of choice. Christmas day dinner was excellent lots of choice as a main course & desserts where out of this world

You can walk to the hub of St Julians for many other restaurants and bars. There is a bus stop outside the hotel for ease of access to Valletta etc. I would highly recommend the Marina

Wonderful location at the sea/harbor with pool and own swimming location in front of the hotel. Of course you hear some music and traffic from the coastal road. Rooms and hotel is a little aged but okay

The location is great, own pools nice, but what's even better is the part of the bay in which you can swim. It's close to many good restaurants and bus stops

Took a deluxe room which wasn't. No cupboards no drawers no towel hooks three small open shelves only. Small safe on floor that could be picked up and removed no bath mat

The room is clean and with a great view. The breakfast is very good with friendly chefs making any eggs you want. You have to be early to the pool to get a spot if you’re a friend group or a family

Didnt really know how to score this stay. Room a decent size, very clean. Pool area nice and plenty of sunbeds even though hotel was full. Being able to get straight into the sea was great

Staff could improve on English, breakfast was repetitive, I would suggest a replacement of the lift as it was very hot and takes about a minute before the doors opened

Clean and tidy, but the bathroom is a little small, only one square meter. There is a new building next door, and the renovations are from 7 am to 8 pm every day, which is a bit noisy

Conveniently located in the heart of St Julian. Room is new and water pressure is strong. Lobby area is modern and service at check in and out was fantastic. Pity that the rooftop pool is closed for renovation

She took her time showing us the difference in the rooms available and we were glad to make an upgrade, our rooms were cleaned every single day without requesting cleaning services to do them

Location wise, it was perfect, central to happening spots around St Julian, all within walking distances. The free Prosecco for my birthday and cocktail on arrival was an extra touch

You can enter it from the hotel by an internal door. The front desk was very helpful. A shout out to Leah and Anish, they are so friendly. And serve nice cocktails!! I will definitely come back!

The outdoor pool costs 20 euros to use but it was closed for Revovation however they let you use the indoor pool instead free of charge

I had a great stay at Holiday Inn Express Malta! The hotel offers one of the best value-for-money experiences in St. It’s perfectly located — just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, bars, and public transport

The pool was incredibly relaxing, perfect for soaking up a resort vibe (and beach towels were provided, which is a nice touch!)

Reception and bar staff were all great with reception staff being very helpful sorting taxis out and helping book activities to do around Malta! The sauna, indoor pool and gym were a great addition

Only one small thing that didn't work well was the kettle in my room, the lid must have been damaged as it wouldn't stay closed, if you boiled it you had to weigh it down with something or it would boil forever, it wasn't a huge issue though, I just used it a few times

We appreciated the relatively low number of Japanese (or Asian) guests, which truly enhanced the sense of being in a foreign country. This is definitely a hotel I'd choose to stay at again

The location is a little hard to find, but the service is very good, the price is affordable, and I was lucky to be upgraded to a superior suite

The food around the pool was very good too especially the burgers which were delicious - Dunbar and Sameer looked after us so well! All the staff were super friendly, attentive and courteous and a special shout out to Justin who always welcomed us at the door and gave us some very interesting information on the history of Malta

I had an absolutely fantastic holiday at the Hyatt Regency in Malta, thanks to the incredible concierge, Valentina. Every recommendation, suggestion, and booking she made was spot-on and added so much to my experience

Club lounge not great - underground and completely silent (felt odd) maybe some music would help

We had room service too, portions were huge and tasted amazing! The spa was the cherry on top! The heated pool, sauna, steam room… all brilliant and a wonderful way to relax after a long day exploring! The Decor is beautiful ! Would most definitely come back again soon! The beach club was 2 minutes walk from the hotel and can be used for free if you’re staying at the hotel. We always had available sunbeds, though I would recommend to arrive early

It has access to the sea as well, the pool is reasonable size with sea water. The hotel also has a rooftop pool with fewer sunbeds, free of charge. We stayed in the family room, the bed was very large, could fit 3 people

The service however? Outstanding! Cannot thank the staff enough for the warm welcomes, excellent service and kindness especially to Kristian, Njambe and Marie who we met in the pool and then became our group tour host

They also took my water bottle and I felt like I should be able to bring my water to what I thought was the hotel pool. The spa was a little weird in terms of service

All of them greeted us like old friends and gave us tips how to enjoy Malta like a local. We will be definitely be coming back again
