Very poor experience. Pay four star money for one star service and at best a two star room.

The room was tired, very poorly maintained and dirty. There is no way it's a four star hotel. We complained and asked for our money back as it did not reflect any reasonable expectations of a four star. We were told we'd get the money back but they offered no written confirmation. We then moved to a much nicer hotel up the road which was only a fraction more expensive.

The next day when we complained to booking.com, they denied ever saying we could have the money back. If they had just told us no, I'd have more respect for them than lying.

We arrived at the hotel after traveling for 12 hours for a three night stay and we greeted by reception with a list of what we couldn't do, and the associated fines before even saying 'Welcome/I hope you have a good holiday'. Hardly a friendly place.

The staff mentioned that many people had complained about the rooms. Maybe management should look to do a revamp.

Tip: Check your room before paying for this!

Just for the record - their response is not sufficient. Don't offer to refund people if that's just to keep them quiet. Lying is not something any reputable hotel company would condone...

The layout is good and the staff when we checked in is helpful. But the room smells moldy. What's worse?! When we were sleeping at about 3 am, someone got into our room. After we told the staff, he said that stranger was from next door and he had changed the room key password which only worked on this room. But in fact, the key worked on our room, but other keys ALSO worked on our room! When we asked other room, the staff told us to wait until morning and ask the manager for other room. After we insisted to change the room, he checked the vacancy and said yes. But I don't think he's really acknowledge the danger. It seemed weird to us, because there was no other lock on the door except for the electric lock (but there IS other lock in other rooms) and the staff didn't look really astonished when we told him this. Very strange!
