In old town, Khao San. Decently priced, washing machines in building. I’d recommend the staff to do a couple of empty washes to remove excess of dirt from its constant use. Still, it’s very convenient for all guests. Reception is very laid back- no problems. Would stay here again
We had an amazing time at Lost in BKK!
The staff were incredibly friendly and fun to talk to – they really made us feel welcome. The vibe was great, and we genuinely enjoyed every moment of our stay. Would definitely come back!
Clean and very well located hotel in downtown Bangkok. The staff are friendly and the accommodations are nice. The beds are very firm but you get used to them quickly. AC works well and the bathrooms are nice. Definitely recommend if you are on a budget.
Room and facility is very clean, we have a good sleep here.
Staff are very friendly, helpful & sincere. My friend accidently left his pouch bag at the lobby area during check out, we contacted the hotel via instagram and they help us to trace the bag. Luckily after few hours the bag is safe at their place! Excellent service!
the hostel is very clean and the bed is so comfortable. I have a really great time there. it’s the best hostel I hv been to.
We stayed here again because we loved the place and the staff. It is a hostel but very well kept and furnished, and gives the chance to also have a private room. The little cafe inside the hostel is a plus!
I love that there is a laundry room available to use and that new towels/sheets are provided if asked.
There are some toys in the lobby and my son loved playing there.

CHERN Hostel
Bangkok, 17 Soi Ratchasak Bamrung Muang Road. Samranrat Phranakorn 🧭 Map
There were both families and friends here. Suitable for everyone. Great location and price.
No amenities only toilet paper and shampoo for body / hair no tissue
Great location in Chinatown, close to subway about a 10 minute walk. Nice large pool area. Nice outside seating area too. Laundry area. Comfy room. Would benefit from having a kettle in the room.
the location was good and the room was spacious as well. very comfortable experience.
The main reason I chose this hostel was because of the location, it is actually very convenient to go anywhere from Khaosan road to Chinatown. The bad side was the fact that room had a moldy or “wet” smell throughout the whole stay, even though I turn on AC.
Overall good stay, nice rooms and facilities, good location. Cleaning was a bit random, sometimes we did not get the towels back and also we had a cockroach probably killed by the cleaning lady and left in the room.

Good atmosphere coffee shop, nice resting place.
Several restaurants nearby hotel, ordering from hotel catering is also good.
Can walk to Royal Palace and Wat Pho.
A cozy yet easy going hostel located along the way to Siriraj hospital. Also a convenient stay if traveler want to access Temple of the Emerald Buddha and surrounding tourist spots by ferry.
Yak meant a giant or a demon in the Ramayana Anyway Yak cafe gave so peaceful ambience with it’s coffee blended aroma and original Thai tase pasta that I really recommend.
Excellent room and services. Together with food and drinks at the cafe, these combinations are remarkable.
If you mostly have outdoor schedule and a backpack traveller then this is the place. It's comfortable to sleep and the warm atmosphere will gets you.

Highly recommend this place. The free breakfast was delicious, this place offers high end hospitality at an affordable rate. The staff are lovely, and Bawan did an incredible job welcoming us, and providing us with a thoughtful introduction to the hostel and Bangkok. We were able to leave our bags either side of our stay, and they offered to use their showers before our night bus, even after we checked...
Very nice hostel, it’s quiet and clean. Even the shared bathrooms. Showers have great water pressure – a plus for me. The staff are nice and friendly too, especially Bawan (apologies if I got it wrong). Breakfast was delicious.
Location is also nice, a walking distance to Khao San Road (so away from the evening noise) and temples, etc.
Great value overall. We will come back to stay at this place...
Would visit again even if the location was shit (it isn't) and every room was dirty and smelly (they are not). That's how great the staff is. During my stay I meet a lovely divers combo of staff members from Thailand, Lao, The Philippines. Professional, polite, helpful, fluently in English and with good humor. Love it and recommend it!
The place is kept spotless and you'll have no problem getting...
Super location, nice big and clean room with comfy big bed (we stayed in private with en-suite). Breakfast included , with good selection , so made it very good value.
Only thing to note was to close bathroom door always , as the smells from the street come into the room and it wasn’t pleasant.
Aircon and shower worked great. We didn’t use the rooftop so can’t comment.
Staff lovely and helpful.

Potentially the nicest hostel I have stayed at in 4 months of traveling. The beds are comfy and spacious with a good place to store bags and little lockers for valuables.
It felt like so much thought had gone into what would actually be convenient and needed for the people who stay here and its really paid off. The people who worked here were also very professional and acomidating. If I'm staying in...
Rooms, service, staff and location are near awesome. BUT. This is NOT the hostel you should be staying at if you want any sort of community atmosphere, orgsnised events or friendship making. This is a glorified cheap hotel. Much better options out there for the backpacker.

Apart from the windowless room, the hotel is quite good value for money, 1 minute walk from Khaosan
The location is very good, extremely close to Khao San Road but far away enough to not hear anything! That's probably thanks to the fact that there are no windows. One moment there were drunk guests in the corridor which we could hear very well but during the night I did not hear anything. I would suggest to just in case have eardrops ready though:)
The rooms were clean and the staff was welcoming...
Great location close to Khao San Road, good for an overnight stay.
Suitable for one or two nights at most. Inexpensive, clean. No meals. Toilet and shower in a small room combined. No windows. Refrigerator, two bottles of water. Air conditioning, exhaust fan. Toilet paper, liquid soap and shampoo provided.
Would definitely stay again. Clean rooms, lovely staff and always willing to help. I needed to change the date of my booking via phone call and nothing was too much trouble for them. They even remembered me at the desk after 3 weeks!

I went here in 2019, the staff here are very polite and soft spoken, the room were clean and secure. Good for solo women travellers. Its just a walkable distance to the famous to famous street market as well
Great spot with friendly staff and travellers, very comfortable beds and super clean rooms and bathrooms, and they do a very good frappe latte too :)
The location is perfect, you're close enough to Khaosan Road nightlife if you want to do that, without having to stay on the road itself with thumping clubbing music all night. You're also close to lots of temples and plenty of good cheap food.

Great hostel! Fantastic location, walking distance to all the temples and Khao San road. Staff is very nice. The rooms and showers are clean. You’re given a towel when you check in and the showers have soap and shampoo. Two lockers, one below your bed to store your bag and one small one attached to the wall. Super comfy beds. You need your key to access the elevator at night, so you feel safe. Continental...
Vivit hostel is awesome! Most importantly the staff are so caring and helpful I’ve never experienced better.
You can’t really tell if it’s a hostel or hotel, the beds are so comfortable and everything is perfectly clean and inviting. There is a great free breakfast (coffee, juice, toast, bananas, eggs) very helpful in the morning in Bangkok.
The street is also perfect proximity to everything locally...
It's OK. A little bit weird atmosphere.
Nice shared facilities but small and not too welcoming.
They were quite rude about keeping the bags after check out. They said they will only keep them for 4 hours past check out. I think it's a bit extreme most hostels are much more generous with that.
Beds are really good, with privacy curtains.

Time Sabai 134 Hostel
Bangkok, 134/6 ban Phan Thom Road, ban Phan Thom, Phra Nakhon District 🧭 Map
Excellent location. Very quiet, pleasant setting. Fairly hard mattress. Decent cleanliness, but terrible smells in the shower. Dark room, dilapidated style, without charm. No elevator. Fairly average quality/price ratio.
Clean and well-maintained hostel. Perfect if you want a calm place to spend the night. The personal are very kind, and the location feels remote, while being in walking distance from Khaosan Road and multiple temples. The hostel does not offer any noteworthy social area or bar/restaurant.
The youth hostel has a lot of charm and it's very nice to sit on one of the outdoor tables at any time of the day. The room, bathroom and toilets were very clean. The service (paid) for washing your clothes is appreciable. It's a shame, however, that our private room has no direct access and that we have to go through a 4-person dormitory to access it. The same goes from our bedroom to the bathroom...
Okay, I made a good reservation at a cheap price in a hurry. Thank you.
The establishment is very pretty, the bar area and its garden are magnificent! Small downside for the dormitories which are very closed (no opening) so a little clostrauphobic mind but for one night it's very good! Especially since the quality/price ratio is unbeatable and it is very well located, in the center of Bangkok but quiet. Small downside, the “alley” is not accessible by car, you have to...

Got exactly what I wanted for a good price (walk-in, THB 400). Just a room with a bed and a bathroom, nothing fancy. Does have airco! Not dirty but not clean either. Including towels. Beats sleeping on the street.
Have used many times, but only for short stays..staff ok...needs decorating though in bedrooms....No lift....uggghhh. .
Not expensive and close to everything. Especially Khao San Road. It is also a much quieter street. I had a single room and it was very good
Located away from Khaosan road, so it's not that noisy at night. Rooms are small and old, but not dirty. If you ask the front desk to clean the room, it will be nicely done. I strongly recommend you to keep snacks out of the room. If you don't, there will be a crazy attack from enormous amount of ants. Well, have a nice travel! Good luck to all backpackers. :)

Not far from wanglang market and hospital
Nice for quick business meeting, basic facilities are enough for the business.
0/10 for cleanliness, my room also has cockroaches, the location is OK
Good location. Water pressure was low specially in morning. Room becomes smelly if you close the doors and windows for some hours.

Unfortunately is down a alley somewhat with a second property leading to a worst alley. If you want cheap and comfortable it's great but dont expect too much! Paid 26 euros for 2 nights between myself and the misses.
Cheap hotel, don't know what all these people leaving 1 star reviews expected. We had good service.
Unlike many other reviews I found Sawasdee to be the best cheap solution in central Bangkok.
The hotel is very close to Khaosan Road but located in a back alley that makes it a lot quieter than most nearby hotels.
The room was small but clean and check in was very fast.
Only bad note was someone playing musing through a small speaker in the room next to ours at 2am in the morning. It didn’t last longer...

It's close enough to khoasan Rd to enjoy the night life but far enough away to enjoy a quiet night's sleep. The beds are comfy and they have their own power socket which is great. Air con works great and they can also organise tours, bus transfers etc. Overall, cheap and cheerfull
Enjoyed our stay for a couple nights. Comfortable beds. Big locker per bed. Good price. Ac is off from 11:30 am to 3pm or so, don’t expect to do any napping during the day unless you want to sweat out toxins from a previous night. Feels fairly secure; key card system. They also have laundry machines and computers you can use. All in all, would totally stay here again if I was in Bangkok.

Stayed here every time I go to Bangkok because it's always clean, good quality beds, good A.C. close to the main area but far enough away to be comfortable and quiet. Washer and dryer available, computers available, good WiFi. Toast and tea or coffee in the morning. Great service from staff. Only problem was the hot showers didn't work sometimes. It was usually too hot outside anyways for a hot shower
Stayed here for two nights in Bangkok. Probably the softest beds in all of Thailand! Super clean and comfortable place. Convenient to Khao San Road without actually being on the road. Also close to the grand palace and sights in that area. Informative and helpful hosts. Even though the dorms are 14 beds, it doesn’t feel that crowded.
