Chang Siam Inn
Bangkok, 1091/63-64 New Petchburi Road, Soi Petchburi 33 Rajthevee, Bangkok 🧭 Map
Excellent value in the heart of Bangkok. Numerous restaurants and shopping malls nearby. The nearest train station is only ten minutes away. Standard room was clean and spacious, with a soft bed. Cable TV provided channels in a variety of languages, including Thai, English, and Chinese. The WiFi connection was spotty, but joining a different floor's network fixed the problem. The elevator had a very...
I stayed at Chang Siam Inn for 2 nights. The location is pretty convenient, 10 minutes walk from the train station to and from the airport. The room was clean and tidy. Same goes for the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure good and free water everyday ( glass bottle, for less plastic use was highly appreciated). From the lobby to the rooms everything is nicely decorated with dark wooden...
Centrally located and handy for the airport Skytrain link this is a bueatique hotel that provides value for money and excellent service. The front desk offers a currency exchange with the best rates in Bangkok
This place was my home for 4 days when I stayed in Bangkok last week. Stay in this place when you visit Bangkok, you will not regret it. The staff are friendly, and the guy receptionist can speak good English. The place is neat, near the shopping malls you need- Platinum, Pratunam, Centerworld, etc. Food is everywhere! The bed is comfy, and the air is really cold. Value for your money! Affordable and...
The hotel is near the metro and sky train and close to many of Bangkok's malls. You can find plenty of convenient stores and restaurants or street food options nearby. The rooms are nice and clean, however quite small and they lack windows. The bigger front rooms have windows, but they cannot be opened. We enjoyed our stay, because we were out all day and only went to our room to sleep and shower....

Room are nice and clean. When you open the door,so noisy but you can sleep well.Shut the door and just sleep alone. Price are so cheap in the middle of Bangkok.5-10min walk, you can reach MBK,Underworld,CentralWorld.
Best value for money. The bed is bigger than most hostels with the same price. Location is the best thing about this hostel, 3-4 minutes walk to BTS Ratchatewi. There are lots of 7eleven around. In just 5 minutes walk you can find great restaurants serving Thai dishes, such as: Jaekoy and Je Daeng Thai Isan. This hostel is also a walkable distance to Tofu Skincare (around 8-10mins). For ladies, best...
We needed a lugage storage to go shop one last time to MBK Center. Owner is so sweet and helpful. Will recommand 100%. Our belonging were really safe. And it’s only 4 min away from the MBK Center ! 🤩
The location is great, walk 5 minutes to Phaya Thai station and can take the train to all stations, only 15 minutes to pratunam market area. The manager is very helpful and supportive, and the prices are very reasonable. The hotel is quite old but still clean and tidy. However, there is no elevator so any group staying in a 6-bed family room will have to climb 4 floors.
A fabulous hostel, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Lovely and clean and was quiet even though it's on the main road. We stayed in the 4 bed dorm for 4 nights. Fully equipped kitchen with free hot drinks & snacks. A few games were available and kept our kids busy for hours. The hostel is in a great location, close to the metro station but also within walking distance to the Siam mall and also...

New and clean hostel, very well priced. Please note this is a female only hostel. The owners are a nice couple, making appetizing English breakfast on week ends and delicious coffee all week long! Highly recommended.

Food is so delicious here. Tried the Kway Teow Gua Gai (stir fried flat noodle wth chicken /pork shrimp) and Big prawn pad thai, prawn cakes and the coffee and match latte. The matcha latte was one of the best I have ever tried before. Creamy and perfect blend of matcha which is not sweet at all. Food was very very good. Better than some of the famous street stalls I’ve tried before. Super friendly...
The staff was fantastic- the food unremarkable. I would completely recommend this place as a great hostel, but as a restaurant- choy-choy (so-so). At 50% off via eatigo app, it was a good deal. I had pad-thai gung (the shrimp were big! But the sauce- savory but too sweet) fried squid (need to add seasoning to your crumbs!) and a spicy chicken wrap- pretty good. I was hungry : ) total 195baht (...
Amazing place.. Very clean beds, good food, very friendly staff, Hassle free, flexible check-in.
Decorating the first lounge with old classics fashion of the clock, the book shelf. We ordered breaky for three and it’s so Thai food. We liked it very much. The room upstairs is brand new and clean with private and dormitory too. It’s good for multi travelers to choose. The place is closed to centre which big Icon Siam, Takashimaya... we enjoyed it!
Very clean, great hospitality and the rooms are excellent considering the price. Access to the sky train is also good. All in all a fantastic stay!
The perfect place for someone who appreciates vintage. Cozy, clean and just so perfect!!

Nice little breakfast spot on Soi Rambuttri. They do other food but I was there for breakfast. Service was fairly swift and friendly. I paid 90 Baht for breakfast including coffee. i could have fried or scrambled eggs and bacon sausage or ham. I went for ham and fried eggs. The coffee was decent and I could add my own milk and sugar. There was free wifi but it didn't seem to be working when...
Very good service and good menu. I had burger and French fries, only 100 baht. Plenty of condiments are available to make it spicier or more tasty. Thai food and European food is available. Drinks are amongst the cheapest in Khao San I liked the comfortable seats; a rarity in Khao San. I'll be here more regularly.
Great place for drinks, music and people watching. On a quieter section of the backpacker area of Bangkok this place offers clean food and cheap drinks ... We even brought a 1/2 chicken from the market and they were more than happy to accommodate us. The music here is better than most of the area, as they tend to play cover songs of popular music .. not so here.
A great little place on Rambuttri. They have a decent menu which is somewhat similar to other places nearby. But, the quality is definitely here. The atmosphere is good, with seats inside with TVs, or tables outside for people watching. Rambuttri is noticeable for being near Khaosan, yet curiously quiet. Check this place out for a drink or bite to eat.
This restaurant is amazing! The watermelon Mojito is so good and strong (the rest of the places near here are very stingy about alcohol) and the breakfast is so yummy. We ordered the egg bacon cheese club sandwich and we were really happy with it. Also the service is great. The people are super nice and very attentive plus they speak English! I would highly recommend this place
The room here is beautiful... It is like Canadian style wooden house... With Air condition.... But the bathroom amd toilet is Shared... Its not a worry because the place is not crowded.....

Above par secluded place from the busy streets. The price is very affordable and the location is in the middle of everything near by. Close to MRT Sutthisan station. Their foods is yummy. BTW there is a cute and cozy cafe in the hotel premises. If you are looking for a place to stay around this area, this hotel is a bang for your buck.
It is a cheap place to come if you need a room. 650 baht a night for basic room. The staff is nice and they clean my room everyday. It is not better than the known hotels, but I will put it about hostel anyday.
Clean and accessible with a lot of parking space. The hotel is very close to the main road.
Resonablr price, resonable quality.
Nice place. Good value. Will stay again.
Good location not too far from MRT Suttisan easy to get around. 24 hours restaurant available.

Wonderful place in the heart of Bangkok!!! I can really recommend for everyone who don't need to be in the centre of all bars and loud streets. The hotel is very clean and provides everything you need. It's more an area for locals which I really liked! Went here and booked the cheapest room which is no window one, room is clean and air conditioning is work cold. Bed is comfy enough but small, room very small is difficult to moving around :D, lift sometimes doesn’t work😁, but so far is comfy for sleeping.
Exceptional location. Very close 12 minute walk to the Grand Palace, temples and museums. And right at the end of Khaosan road. Nice facilities. Feels very safe. Excellent value. I had a window that had a view of a Temple. I wish the room had an electric kettle. There is construction going on around the hotel. And some strange smells came up here and there. Only really an issue if you're sensitive...
I’m very disappointed with this hotel. The room and the toilet was so dirty. They didn’t cleaned up under the bed and changed the cover pillow. Because had a lot dusty and the pillow was smelly.

Location trumps all with this place. The rooms are very very simple, but honestly you will be out experiencing Bangkok every waking minute so does not matter. A safe would have been nice..
Great location, near Khao San but in a quiet area. Lovely reception area with a cute garden, spacious rooms. We stayed 10 days and really enjoyed just staying in to relax on some days. Breakfast was simple but delicious! Staff were very kind and helpful.
Absolutely amazing, came here after a really bad experience with a previous hotel down the road and needed a room last minute late in the evening. The staff were very helpful and friendly and found me a basic double room for 700B (The first 3 pictures) for one night, it was clean, it was comfortable, AC, WiFi and the shower was pretty good. We had a great stay at penpark! Rooms were clean and nice, with a good rc. Location is good, you are in a good neighbourhood, and it is close to kho san road, so that is a good place to book an grab to go everywere you want. Beds are a bit hard, but further there is nothing to complain!
Clean rooms, polite staff, great value for money. If you're on a budget, definitely go for Penpark. They've got some good restaurants and a lot more within a small radius. Cabs are easily accessible. They also have a travel agency office within the Building; I would suggest you communicate clearly and make sure you've got every detail penned down before making a deal.

First time staying at a hostel while abroad, great hostel for budget travelers. It was quiet and had good WiFi. Curtain only covers a third of the bed but pair it with your towel and you get half.
Good location. Good price. Kitchen on the roof. Laundry inside the hostel, there is place for hanging the clothes. Ac doesn't work from 12 till 6 pm. And it's very very hot in the room. There is no fan. If you want to sleep in daytime, you can get a headache. And very hard mattress, you feel the iron inside.( This is the main flaw in this hostel.
Very nice, clean and quiet place, exactly what i'm looking in a place like Bangkok! i'll consider It again for sure if i'll come back there again!
Nice hostel, clean, VERY FRIENDLY staff. Still hostel, if you expect hotel, that's not Hoft. But very decent hostel, even shared bathroom are clean so it's no problem at all to use shower, even if you are not always willing to share bathroom with others. They also have lovely podium to rest outside otherwise small rooms, and few sofas near the reception area. Breakfast is very basic.
It's a very good hostel to stay and relax during backpacking. Reception staff is friendly and polite. Hostel facilities are good. Breakfast free of cost is served daily.

For the price, this hotel is not that bad. But don't expect much from it. What you get: A bed, a tv, a/c, a fridge, and bathroom What is not included: You have to pay extra per person. Good value for money! The rooms are spacious for what you pay. Cool & trendy style. There's a hangout area where you can meet people too. Clean rooms and good location, but in a more quiet area. I had a single economy room that was facing the river. The receptionists seem a little "off" only, and wasn't always that easy to communicate with. Recommended for the price you pay.
Small room, well priced. Not a lot of decorations inside. No TV. Communal TV in lounge out of order. Staff are friendly. Showers and toilet area in rooms need a deep clean.
Hotel staff are friendly and the location is not bad. I didn't find it particularly clean (spiderwebs above bed, and some small bugs running around). Also we were on the top floor (4th) and no elevators. Other than that quite happy with our stay, felt secure and slept well. Room has a fridge and a good AC unit. We also left our bags with the reception on your last day free of charge.
Good security. 2-3 layers from street level. Good value. The double we stayed in was spacious. Quiet(er) area. If you want water view, be prepared for loud roaring boats at sunrise. I've only eaten there twice, and probably won't again, as there are many choices in this area. I had a craving for a hamburger after a bout with Bangkok belly, brought on by a street food binge, I wanted something other than Thai food. I ordered the onion ring hamburger. It's a nice presentation, but we don't eat with our eyes alone. It's more properly a meatloaf burger. I think it's not 100% beef...
Great hotel for the money! We’ve booked premier room for 3 nights and paid 96 euro.(don’t be scabby and get it) Great location. I wouldn’t bother with the hotel restaurant as it’s slow and overpriced. You get the same type of food across from the food truck (it’s safe to eat from) and it will cost you 50 instead of 150 b
Nice location near Khaosan Road but much quieter which is a God send if you have ever entertained the idea of staying on that road! Rooftop pool is amazing after a day in the Bangkok heat and the room was clean and the air con worked very well. 24hour check in was really helpful. Bathroom is a wet room which struggled to drain sometimes. Pillows are chunky but this seems to be a theme in Thailand...
A good place if you decided to stay near Khao San.Well located yet quiet and cozy. Nice inner garden with giant goldfishes in the pond. Surrounded by nice restaurants, massage and street food spots.
This place near to Khaosan road is much more beautiful than Khaosan. There are many possibilities to do: eating, drinking, massages, sneiders for suits and dresses, shopping for souvenirs and sleeping in hostels. But there are many tuktuk drivers who want to be your driver a little bit to aggressive... I would go there again!

One of the cheapest place I booked for vacation. I must say that if you are on a budget, yet you want a decent place to stay, I recommend this hostel. It is walking distance (5-6 mins) to the train station, there are places to eat, and the amenities (common bathroom, eating area, living room) are fair.
The staff were nice ( not very good with English though even when we tried to check in ). We understand it’s a hostel but they did not provide towels. The showers were so dirty when we arrived however they seemed to have been cleaned every day when we were there. The location is not the best but it was still an enjoyable stay.
The location of the hostel may not be the best, but it is near a food street market 10mins walk nor touristic at all and very cheap. The staff is very friendly and efficient, and even though is a hostel it is very clean and tidy. Rooms are small, but beds are very comfortable and the A/C always works. We would repeat for sure.
A good and an affordable place to stay as a local or a tourist. We stayed at this place for 2 nights. Self laundry facilities were there and the shared washrooms were clean. Location was good as well as there was a 7-11 within walking distance. The hosts were polite and provided facility to leave luggage the last day here after we checked out. May not be the most glamorous, but worth for the price...
What a place. Absolutely amazing and friendly staff. Rooms are very clean, all communal areas clean and tidy. Nice day room, tv, games and seating area. I would highly, highly recommend.
