Asoke Residence Sukhumvit by UHG Mini-hotel

Guys, I literally trusted Google and Agoda review and stayed at this place for 3 nights 4 days in suite room.

To be fair, the size of room and the bed is pretty big and comfortable and stuff are friendly.

However!

First of all, the pool is a cat fish. I thought it was some sort of waterfall design in the entrance but nope, it was a pool lmao. Only kids can dip in there.

Second, the phone in the room wasn’t working and I needed to talk to them directly by going down with lift which also takes forever every time. They pretend to fix the phone which was never fixed.

Third, The wall clock wasn’t working when we enter the room which is a bad start and luck. Also, the room walls are so thin, I can hear next room talks and upstairs walking.

Last but not least, there’s no view to enjoy anything and it’s literally super traffic in front of this residence. If you take taxi in traffic time, you will spend 2 hours without moving an inch just there (in front). There’s always traffic anyway.

But yes they have so many restaurants, cafes, izakya and convenience store and 15 min walk MRT. But keep in mind that you will be inhaling all those CO2 in the heat due to so many cars and motor bike there.

Oh yes, the hotel restaurant close at 5:30pm which is early and I would recommend eating breakfast outside.

Rooms with kitchen that doesn’t work properly are a scam. Dirty knife barely any dishes pot or pans. Dish soap very watery room not too clean and very old looking for the price over 1200 baht is not worth price paid for quality received. Would not stay or recommend unless this property is under 1000 baht

We had to vacate our apartment for one week and needed to stay somewhere close by; and obviously not to pay a lot of money as we were only going to be sleeping there.
For the price we paid (considering the prices for accommodation in the Asok area); the room was clean enough and comfortable, but I have to say that this hotel needs serious maintenance and renovation - nothing worked or worked very poorly!
For example, the hot water didn't work the whole week we were there; this wasn't that big a deal because the water, even cold, was luke-warmish. This was welcome after sweating it out during the day. However, the hand-basin was leaking from the pipe all over the floor in the bathroom and despite reporting it twice, it was not fixed. So for the week, there was a permanent pool of water on the bathroom floor.
Air-conditioning unit was very noisy and clearly is very old and needs to be replaced; even at full blast, it just about kept us cool.
The furniture in the room was very old and dilapidated and clearly needs to be replaced.
The fridge had a sticker on it showing an energy rating from the year 2000; just an indication of how old everything was 😉
However, saying all of this, the bed was comfortable and we slept well; the room was very spacious.
There was a nice balcony outside (actually two balconies, one on either side of the room) but they were filled with debris and dirt and clearly hadn't been cleaned or used in a long time. We did not use.
The night staff (the main staff we interacted with) were quite pleasant and friendly and helpful as much as they could be. The lady who works the day shift on reception in black suit (I guess she is the manager) - who we only interacted with on the day we left - was extremely rude, just literally threw the 1,000 baht deposit at me and turned away (no eye contact or thank you or any kind of courtesy). One of the only very few times I have been subject to this kind of rudeness in Thailand.
Despite all of this - my main issue - however, is that the pictures on the major booking sites (Booking.com, Agoda etc.) are not true to how this hotel actually is and it's condition - so I find this extremely misleading.
