Chang Siam Inn

We stayed at Chang Siam Inn, booking one of their two superior rooms. While the room was adequate, it lacked a few key comforts. Our initial room (Room 503) had a malfunctioning air conditioner, which struggled to cool the room despite hours of running. The TV initially lacked cable, but the night manager promptly resolved that issue. Unfortunately, the AC issue made the room uncomfortably hot, especially challenging as we were traveling with kids.

The next morning, we informed the front desk about our discomfort, and a friendly staff member named Koi graciously helped us switch to the other superior room (Room 504). This room was larger, and the AC worked better than the first, though it still wasn’t sufficient for Bangkok’s hot weather.

The complimentary breakfast was simple but sufficient, consisting of bread, toast with butter and jam, and coffee. The location is convenient, close to Pratunam and Indira Square, both within walking distance. However, restaurant options nearby were limited, with mostly Indian cuisine available, so we chose to dine elsewhere.

Very bad experience. We stayed for 2 nights. And we didn't even realize the crack because we didn't put anything heavy on the table except phone! When we checked out they asked us to pay and let us wait for almost 30 mins. We finally agreed to pay 400thb because we didn't want to argue with staffs and we was about too late for our flight (receptionist was rude as well, while I talked to her she didn't even talk back or look at me!). We paid for what we didn't do and 400thb aint too much for us, actually, but enough to pay the valuable of the hotel. I won't recommend anyone to stay in that hotel because our experience. Or double check before getting inside the room as well! Bad experience to handle customers.

Also they gave me the feeling of beeing a criminal, they checked our room before they let us leave, also we had to leave a deposit of 500B at the reception.
Absolut no good expirience, can not recomend.

The biggest problem of this hostel is the staff. They are arrogant, lazy and impudent. I’ve arrived to the hotel around 11 am after a difficult trip and asked for early check in, being ready to pay some extra. They said that all the rooms are occupied and that they can arrange check in only at 2pm after another guest check out and they do the cleaning. Well, of course I had to accept it an I didn’t asked for early check in in advance so I had to seat at the lobby and wait. I was seating at the lobby for mostly 3 hours and there were no people who checked out during that time. At 2pm they finally gave me my key so I went to my room. The room happened to have no window (my booking said it has city view), the remote from AC was not working and it wasn’t really clean. When I came downstairs to reception they told me that I can choose any room since they have plenty of empty rooms to choose from, but none of them have windows… 1) if you have plenty of rooms why would you make your guest waiting till 2pm
2) if you have no rooms you should write this at the hotel description, it’s kind of important feature

Clean service is good, location is near the central world. All the rooms are without windows, lobby inside is deserted, dark and stuffy. And finally: reception staff are helpless and lazy. I asked for print my bus ticket and she did nothing to help me, she said "you should go find something in the city" (having computer and printer). Only after the call to her boss she did something. But all she do, all I asked for help me, she did very RELUCTANTLY, she prefers just sit and watch YouTube videos, she doesn't care about guests at all. Also she asked my PCR test for check in (what? I am in Thailand more than month now. This requirement not needful, that's just THEIR fibs).
