D Varee Xpress Makkasan Hotel

This hotel is a bit older and it is possible to tell the hotel has seen better days.. but it's location is great. Room only two power outlets. The first impression is that it smelled weird... There are 2 glasses and 2 free bottles of water in the room as well as a water boiler and a blow-dryer. The room does not come with soup in the bathroom, you'll have to use shower gel to clean hands. The AC shows 25c on the display but I do think it's more like 20c... Personally I would not stay here longer than I have too! But for a night or two it is fine because it's next to a train station that will take you to or from the airport at low cost! The hotel also is directly next to a seven eleven, however from what I could tell there is no ATM outside the seven eleven. The staff are friendly and the service is good. Also a somewhat okay price for a room.

Location is great if you want the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok at a low price. Nice little local restaurant attached, next door. Good value and nice food. Rooms are low quality. AC hard to adjust, shower in poor condition, no English TV channels. A safe, convenient place to sleep

Convenient location for subway and airport link, but only for that as there is pretty nothing else around.
You get what you paid for as it's good enough to sleep well and take shower, but don't expect really much than that!
