Reviews
Transportation staff were always so kind and helpful. The front desk staff was very accommodating and polite during my early check-in process. Complementary beverages in the lobby was a very much appreciated amenity. The lobby itself was always kept very tidy and pristine. Easily rated 5 of 5 stars.
View from the bedroom was very nice to overlook Bangkok. I appreciated the laundry amenity in the room, which may be a necessity for any travelers who will stay a longer duration. The large soaking tub was always a very nice amenity in the room. The water actually ran hot for as long as I needed it. While the room was kept clean, there were signs of wear and tear, which I am sure is common for older establishments and my reason for 4 of 5 stars.
However, I was able to look past this by the convenience of the hotel location. Central World mall, Big C supermarket, and Erawon are all within walking distance. A great gym, pool, and entertainment room were available on-site amenities that I truly enjoyed and appreciated. I did not take advantage of the breakfast buffets. For this, I rate 5 of 5 stars.
Overall, very pleased with my stay at this hotel and would recommend to others.
I understand the need for policies, but a little flexibility, especially in such a premium establishment, would enhance the overall experience. Considering the high cost of staying at the hotel and paying 550 THB separately for the buffet, it felt unnecessary to enforce such a strict rule over something as small as a coffee cup.
A touch of customer-centric relaxation in policies could go a long way in improving guest satisfaction.
“BTW the coffee you guys provide at the reception is not tasty nor in room service”
Breakfast buffet spread is good. Lots of variety to choose from. Staff are friendly and always with a smile.
Our family has been staying at this hotel for the past 12 years. We normally travel to Thailand at least twice a year.
I stayed at the hotel for a total of 10 nights in May/June of this year and then returned with my family in late July.
We stayed at a two bedroom apartment costing 30,000 THB ($1,300 AUD) per night for 3 nights (originally 4). Still waiting for refund of last night - have been told 30-40 business days. Ridiculous!
When we originally checked in, we were given a room on the 7th floor with the below view. This is despite the hotel being in excess of 50 levels. We asked to be moved to another room. We were eventually offered another room but we found the staff not very friendly, lazy and just plain rude.
We eventually got a room facing the park and not a construction site. We have stayed on this side of the hotel plenty of times and know it is beautiful.
When you wish to travel, the concierge will contact their own Taxis or Tuk Tuk with set prices so that they can get commission from their contacts. We always leave 100 TH as a gratitude to the housekeeping daily. However, we always have to request for more water and toilet paper rolls.
We received the letter from house keeping as shown below in the picture. We called them and she said that because our son broke 1 glass it will be a charge of 60 THB. I was so upset, it is an insult to have a written a demand for payment of 60 THB when we have been your loyal customers for years.
I then escalated the matter further and spoke to the duty manager Mr Kandith B. At first he didn’t appreciate the fact that they were insulting us by charging for an accidental broken glass. Lacking experience in dealing with a minor issue and the way they handled it was just plain insulting. By way of an apology we were offered a plate of fruit which we have rejected. At the end of the day, all we wanted was a written apology and we stated that to the manager at the time. Still waiting, however, just too late now. Review will be posted and will remain on.
We note that the staff here have been replaced very often. Not very friendly as what it used to be. The staff seem very unhappy as they are being dictated what to say and do. It doesn’t feel friendly or inviting like other places. (They used to served welcome drinks and cold towels.)
We paid 60 THB to the reception, the receptionist was more apologetic than the manager himself.
We will not be coming back here again and all for 60 THAI BAHT
WHAT A JOKE THIS HOTEL HAS BECOME PUTTING PROFITS AHEAD OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!
The room I stayed (grand deluxe) in was spacious and well-appointed. The size of the room was impressive, providing ample space to move around and relax. The comfortable furnishings and thoughtful amenities made it feel like a home away from home. The room was equipped with a heated toilet seat, which was a luxurious touch that added to the overall comfort of the stay.
I also appreciated the presence of a coffee machine in the lobby. It was a thoughtful addition, especially for someone like me who enjoys a good cup of coffee. The availability of freshly brewed coffee at any time of the day was a nice touch and added a sense of warmth and comfort to the hotel's ambiance.
The hotel's location was another highlight. Situated in a prime area, it was convenient for accessing various shopping malls.
This grand old girl may surprise you, and is worthy of your holiday stay.
Very pleasant common areas, library chill lounge and games room the best I've seen.
Gym is large. Pool looks freshly renovated, 2 big spa pools and towel service.
In the room the decoration is classic style, the bed the best I've had this holiday but with the shutter blinds it's too bright and hard to sleep after 6am.
The shower door opens the wrong way.
The Japanese style toilet is an experience.
There is no street food nearby, and unfortunately I had the worst meal from the lobby restaurant. Chicken noodle, no flavour so sad. Still annoyed about it.
The view is good from level 43, which may actually be more like level 30 since many floors are skipped.
There is a new development which may affect the view in the future.
Another night to sleep before onto the next one
