Hua Chang Heritage Hotel

The Heritage Hotel did not meet my expectations. No balconies, no windows to open. From the photos, it might seem like there are balconies or that you’ll be able to open the windows, but unfortunately, that’s not the case. I must admit, the windows are well-sealed. That’s probably the only positive thing—thanks to the good sealing, even though there’s a busy intersection right next to the hotel, you can get some sleep.

I was very surprised by the breakfast. There’s no honey or lemon offered with tea. I don’t use sugar in my tea. When my son asked for lemon and honey for my tea, the girl at the bar fulfilled the request by squeezing limes and bringing honey. However, the staff member on duty the next day was very disrespectful. Since I don’t eat breakfast but instead drink tea and lots of water, I expected that on the second day, there would already be honey and lemon or lime prepared for my tea (especially considering this is a 4-star hotel). But the staff member at the bar just pointed to my son and said it’s “somewhere over there.” For a 4-star hotel, that’s quite an impressive level of service.

I strongly recommend choosing a different hotel because, for the price I paid, some 2-star hotels could easily outperform this one. And I’ve traveled a lot in Thailand, so I know what I’m talking about. Lastly, so much fake luxury crammed into one place is truly unmatched in the area!

Located at a corner area within walking distance to the malls and a farther distance from the nearest BTS. The hotel looked nice from the pictures, but it’s only the pictures that makes it look nice. The pool is beautiful but doesn’t give you the privacy you would like as it is in the lobby area. Compared to a rooftop pool where only guests are allowed. The room I stayed in was extra large but the layout did not make any sense as the living area barely had any thing worth staying there. Only a small table and sofa and a non-working tv. I only stayed in the bedroom area majority of the time where I had a sofa and table already. The bathroom was nice but if I had known the large room I paid for was going to look like that in person, I would’ve preferred to stay in the smaller rooms instead. The breakfast buffet was good. That did not disappoint. Because of location, room design and non-privacy of pool, I will not stay here again.
