Reviews
1.Room service is pathetic they have placed water cans on each floor when we requested for refill they said go to the next floor if you floor can is running out of water.
2. Breakfast menu is very limited.
3. We requested for extra blanket they said don't have extra blankets now we can provide tomorrow.
4. There is no parking or waiting area for the hotel.
5. No indian restaurant nearby.
- Bad hotel management
The receptionist does check-in and is a waiter at the same time. The manager should hire more staff to work better in team.
- Bad room quality, The room is too small and narrow. I found the broken window glass. The housekeeper had just finished mopping the floor shortly before staying. The wooden floor was damp and blistering.
- The lobby and restaurant were uncomfortable. Children playing on the hotel's slides were very annoying and no hotel staff can control them.
- The restaurant table was dirty, no cleaning, no tissue paper provided. The breakfast set was really bad, it seems like food for worship. The tables and restaurant area were not suit for hotel guests.
I was extremely unimpressed with my stay at this hotel. It costs 1800+ THB. for 1 night while the hotel quality was really suck. I will not recommend to anyone and will not come again.
All of staff very helpfull, so kind, and super friendly.
For sure If I go to Bangkok, I will stay at Kokotel again. and I will tell to all my friends that if they go to Bangkok they must stay here 🥂
Especially for *Neab* for helping me find my phone which was left in the grab thank you so much. and also the *fluk and nut* have helped us have a very good breakfast
The location is good, you have china town 3km away, mahanakhon very nearby, couple of 7 eleven stores, atms in walking distance.
Also, you can do your laundry for about 30tbh and use a dryer (10tbh). There is also an iron box there upstairs. Overall very good stay, very clean and well maintained and good location. Pics I have shared are those of the smaller room.
Rooms - Quite small, but has enough space to fit 2-3 large suitcases. The toilet and shower are separated, as well as the sink. The room had a curtain that separated where the beds are from where the toilet is.
Do note that the floor can be very dusty and dirty, especially underneath the beds.
Service & Amenities - Staff are friendly and hospitable, especially the front desk staff, having to man the restaurant order counter as well as front desk. Amenities are very little, but the entrance has a cute little slide. Also the second floor has a play area for small children. 1st and 2nd floor has some seating, but not too much. The 8th floor has a laundromat, but requires to pay a small fee to use it.
Location: Quite convenient, with many massage places just 5-10 mins walk from Kokotel. Food options are decent, but require at least 10-15 mins walk. Also, it's about 15 mins walk to the nearest train station (BTS - Chong Nonsi)
Overall, Kokotel is a decent place for backpackers who wouldn't mind paying a bit more for accommodation. I wouldn't really recommend it to families due to the small space in each room. Quite worth it!
The room, although compact, was cleverly designed to provide everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Despite its size, it didn't feel cramped, and all essentials were readily available.
I particularly appreciated their eco-friendly initiative of providing refillable glass bottles for hot, room temperature, and cold water — a thoughtful touch that's both environmentally conscious and convenient for guests.
The commitment of the staff to perform house cleaning after every stay ensured a consistently clean and tidy room, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere throughout my visit.
One standout feature was the strong water pressure in the shower, making for a refreshing and invigorating experience.
The only minor drawback was the lack of soundproofing in the room, which occasionally allowed noise from outside to filter in. However, this didn't significantly detract from the overall positive experience.
What truly sets Kokotel apart is the unbeatable combination of budget-friendly rates, a warm and accommodating staff, and a streamlined check-in and check-out process. I was impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the entire team. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable, affordable, and welcoming accommodation option.
