Marsi Hotel Bangkok

The receptionist is unprofessional, bad management, me and my sister try to get a room for a night we asking for twin bed and she sent us to the new building which is not completely finish there are no AC in the lobby and the hall way and also nobody stay in that building at all so when we walk in the room I checked the patio sliding door if it locked because I concerned about safety since just two stay there and good thing I checked the slide door can’t lock so I called the receptionist why she gave us the room in new building the answer was the first building that we were check in are fully booked so then I decided to leave and get my money back she said she has one room left and in that point we dont want to stay anymore I guess she just keep it for foreigners but me and my sister are Thai so she doesn’t care no any apologize from her. Stay away from this place

I stayed here for a week two months ago and I can say that this place does have a problem. I stayed in a nicer room and I personally killed a couple of bugs. Also the lighting was strange and it didn’t have a main overhead light. This is why the price to stay here is cheap. Other then these two things, if you are looking for cheap and don’t care about some bugs then you found the hotel you are looking for 🤷.

I was put into room that had insects. It was on my kitchen table.

I immediately asked to be moved to another room and the receptionist was like ok. I arrive at another room that faces the same courtyard side of the building and everything is fine except the smell! It smelled just like it was painted 2 minutes ago.
I literally couldn't stand it. I immediately left and requested another room and I was given a room that faces the opposite side - the road.

And oh boy it is noisy! Cars were passing every ten seconds and you hear the roar of their engines as clear as if there are no windows at all! How amazing is that?!

And this problem was also present in another Marsi hotel I've been to in Bangkok. They truly have terrible soundproof system. I mean it. They don't give a damn to the point where they can't install normal decent soundproof windows. I could hear the cars as if I'm right next to the road. I don't know how people can stand trying to sleep here.

Anyways, I went down and requested another room on the inner side of the building but they didn't have any so I was down to move in with the insects. The only thing I wanted is to get away from the car noise. It was driving me absolutely crazy. So I went to that room again (312) and there was another insect on the floor running around!
As you can imagine, I got a quick change of heart and went to my road facing room and will try to get some sleep here. I'm sure I won't.

Advice: NEVER stay at any of the Marsi hotels in Bangkok if you value your time and wellbeing.

The hotel is small, doesn’t offer breakfast. Plenty of meal options in 10 minutes walking distance. The location isn’t ideal. Expect 45+ minutes from here to Bangkok in the morning. Room is clean but the air conditioning is half broken, very noisy.
