Mode Sathorn Hotel - SHA Extra Plus

Hotel was located right beside a BTS station, and opposite a 7-eleven, so that was very convenient. Beautiful roof bar and gym.
Room was oddly shaped, and the floor was quite dirty like it wasn't mopped properly. They offer 2 bottles of water per day, but were adamant to not give more. Complimentary coffee and tea but soft drinks in the bar fridge are payable. Just get your own at the 7-eleven across the road.
They didn't replenish bathroom toiletries after room service (such as cotton buds, sanitary bags and laundry bags). Towels and linen looked old and worn - definitely could do with a refresh.
Daily breakfast was very affordable but super early (630am to 10am). We paid 350baht for 2 pax.

Welcomed by wonderful staff members who were very friendly and kind. They were more than happy to help and took our bags from the taxi to our room. Paid for an upgraded room as check in is from 1400hrs onwards (roughly 60GBP extra) and wow, what a great room! 31 floors up with a stunning view over the city. The room was very well presented and clean.

The rooftop bar offers a beautiful, tranquil view of the city too and takes you away from the pandemonium of Bangkok but at only 34 floors up, it’s definitely better for those who aren’t a big fan of heights. The rooftop pool is great also, with plenty of seats and space and a bar located in the middle. We never used the spa facility but this looked very well presented when walking by. Breakfast was brilliant too, with many options to suit a wide variety of diets. Management could maybe consider putting up signs though to stop a certain group of greedy people consuming entire servings, but that’s on the guests more than anyone else.

The “Sky Train” is about 50m from the entrance to the hotel, so you can easily travel around and there’s shops and restaurants within walking distance.

I’d have given this 5 stars although the prices for drinks within the hotel are way too expensive. Nearly 50GBP for two beers, a cocktail and a small nip of Johnnie Walker Black Label. This is something the Management should definitely review in my opinion. Other than that, I’d highly recommend this hotel!

Loved this hotel. Room was attractive and modern. We arrived before check in and they gave us cool grape juice while we waited in the comfortable lobby. Infinity pool on 11th floor was wonderful. Rooftop bar on 38th floor was great. Not a great location for walking anywhere but there was a metro station right out front that made travel super easy. Oh, and the restaurant breakfast included was amazingly good.

Simply stunning! Beautiful room, great breakfast. Handily placed in Bankok, short walk to the river port making all parts of the city accessible quite quickly. Service was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. Loved the pool bar with amazing views of the city. We were only here for two nights, but it was just enough to get as much of this wonderful culture as we could. Good work!!

We’ve booked this place 3 times. I must say, their beds and bed sheets are the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on, ever. It’s so dang good that we book this place purposely because of their beds.

The romantic room (I can’t remember what it’s called) has their beds facing an enormous window with city views. I will book here again on our next Bangkok trip.
