Sala Rattanakosin Hotel

This hotel was only decided on a few days before the trip. After reading the reviews, we found it acceptable — good hotel, delicious food

Upon arriving at the hotel entrance, it was a bit of a shock. The entrance looked like a 2-star hotel. Then we discovered there was no elevator, just one bar and one restaurant. The only upside was that our favorite massage place was only a 2-minute walk away. 😁

Once we got into the room, it was actually quite acceptable. The view outside the window was of Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha). In the evening, we went up to the rooftop to enjoy the view — you could see Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) at a glance. The breeze was cool and refreshing; it really lifted our spirits.

Every dish at dinner was 👍 — the colors were appealing, the taste was delicious. This restaurant is truly worth recommending. Even the breakfast was surprisingly good. The food at this hotel is definitely up to standard.

At sunset, Wat Arun lit up beautifully, making it a perfect photo spot. For travelers who have been to Bangkok countless times, this is truly a great place to slow down and relax.

Super friendly service and very helpful

Situated on the river, opposite Wat Phro and the Grand Palace, it couldn’t be more ideal. The staff are polite and super helpful, the restaurant on the ground floor is fantastic, and the room we had (facing the street, with views to Wat Pho and beyond) was spacious, light (floor to ceiling windows) and clean. Highly recommended.

Exceptional customer service! I love all the complimentary drinks they provided. Super friendly and helpful staff - they even hooked us up with free brekkie and a nice view on the rooftop for drinks. All the food that we ordered were super delicious! Would definitely come back again :)

Good location good view, as it's just opposite the temple of dawn, but no parking space,

Perfect location for when you want to explore Bangkok’s three key landmarks - Wat Pho, Wat Arun and the Grand Palace! It was just a short walk to Wat Pho and the Grand Palace and the ferry pier to get to Wat Arun was just around the corner. There are also a number of great restaurants, coffee shops and local eateries here, so you’ll never tire of things to explore.

The hotel itself was lovely. My room was very spacious, clean and had a great view of Wat Pho, and there were plenty of amenities provided throughout my stay - plus you could order whatever you needed (amenities, in-room dining, maintenance) via their own app! I had an issue with hot water during my first night, but this was quickly seen to by the team, so I definitely think the service is commendable.

Overall great views, great service, amazing location.

The service was awesome and the scenery was beautiful. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
