Very good hostel

We are a couple in our 60s and 70s and found this youth hostel wonderful. We had a small private room w great A/C that was simple but met our needs. What l most loved was the friendly staff who clearly loved their jobs and the opportunity to meet people from all over. The first day at breakfast, I sat around a table w people from Brazil, Italy, Whales and Germany and later met people from India and Turkey. People were open and friendly. There’s. A great place o hang out in the courtyard and in an air conditioned lounge. Bathrooms are kept very clean. Highly recommend.

If you’re looking for a welcoming, peaceful hostel in Bangkok, this is the place to be. The staff are warm and create a great, friendly atmosphere. The courtyard is perfect for relaxing and hanging out with others. They even have a pay washer and dryer, which is super convenient for longer stays. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a homey, relaxing hostel stay!

It is a very calm green and beautiful hideaway from busy Bangkok.the stuff is super friendly and attentive. Speak great English and assist you with everything.we would always return and really love this day.the only thing you need to know is that it? Is not in the centre of the tourist activities so you will always need to take a taxi to drive to interesting areas. Part of that I think it is very cool.

Very nice hostel! It was calm but still felt very cozy. The yard is a really nice place to sit and read or to meet other people. Really loved the breakfast! It's clean, has good facilities. I really recommend going there.
It's a bit far from the centre of Bangkok. So if you want to go see a temple or whatever, you have to travel a bit (not too much though). It's also very nice to not be in the busy centre of Bangkok the whole time :)

Great hostel - rare to find a hostel in the middle of Bangkok with an open space to relax. People were very interesting, friendly and not the usual party crowd. I ended up making a friend one night while we were both brushing our teeth, and we ended up spending the entire next day together around the city.
People are respectful of sleeping hours - it was very quiet at night.
Multiple hangout spots around the hostel - the yard area, chill room with TV and guitars, and smoking area.
Complimentary breakfast was delicious.
Some complaints though:
* There is one bathroom per floor, and only 2 shower stalls and 2 toiled stalls shared among 3-4 rooms. I never needed to wait to use the bathroom or shower, but there was a constant smell in the bathroom area.
* Single shared fridge for the whole hostel, which is always packed full

Great location -- not in the middle of downtown but in a cool neighborhood (Ari) not far away. Great staff, facilities, fruit-filled breakfast. I had a private room, clean and comfy. Social atmosphere was perfect -- Good outdoor space for socializing but not a crazy-loud party hostel. All facilities -- washing machines, AC, hot water, wifi in rooms as well as common areas -- all worked great.

Lovely place to stay ! The yard is so quiet and refreshing in the heat of Bangkok. Rooms and bathrooms clean, good AC. They have a box where you can leave stuffs that you don’t need anymore but could be of use for others, and take what you need which is very convenient while traveling, to avoid waste and heavy bags. Warm and welcoming staff. They also kept for two weeks a very important package that my family sent from France for me. The only downside is that the location is outside the old center and most activities but the district still has places to eat.

The Yard is a beautiful hostel located in a quiet neighborhood. It’s not one of those kind of hostels that are party oriented and super social but it’s very chill and laid-back. You can meet people, but if you prefer to be more introverted like myself, it’s a perfect place for you to do so. The breakfast is complimentary and very delicious!
It has beautiful scenery and luscious green plants all around. It has two adorable cats which mind their own business but are friendly if you want to approach them! Staff are very kind and accommodating. The rooms were extremely clean and had well working air conditioning! I felt extremely safe staying here!!

My only con is that the bathroom is not “enclosed” (?) not sure if that’s the right wording but basically it’s more outdoorsy? It doesn’t have air conditioning or a door to the main entrance (there are some curtains though). Each stall (shower or toilet) has a door but the area leading into the sink area is open concept. I don’t care that it is shared bathrooms as I had to share bathrooms in college. But for me personally, I felt it was kinda of weird that you just feel sticky from sweat again right after you shower or you have to coexist in the shower with drain flies and other gnats. The bathrooms were very clean just the fact that it is more “outdoorsy” means you get a lot of tiny bug friends to coexist with. If that’s not your thing, be warned!
Overall, I had a really great experience here.
