Review of Carlton Hotel

Initial Impressions:
The Carlton Hotel is not part of the renowned Carlton group, which was somewhat surprising given its name.

Room Booking Experience:
We emailed a week in advance to request a double bed and a cot for our 1-year-old daughter. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were offered a room with three single beds, posing a risk of our daughter falling off. The staff apologized and assured us they would resolve the issue the next morning. The gentleman at the reception was kind and polite.

Room Change:
True to their word, the hotel changed our room the following day. Both rooms were clean, tidy, and spacious, which we appreciated. However, the safe’s number pad in the first room was worn out and non-functional, though the second room’s safe worked fine.

Room Condition:

• Furnishings: The furnishings were clean, modern, and comfortable.
• Carpet: The carpet tiles were not securely fitted in some areas, which was a bit concerning.
• Complimentary Water: The hotel provided complimentary bottles of water, a thoughtful touch.

Breakfast Experience:

• Timings: Breakfast was served only between 8 AM and 10 AM, a rather limited window.
• Breakfast Hall: The hall was clean and had a modern style.
• Food: There was a decent selection of items, though the lack of labels on the food was a downside, making it hard to identify some dishes.

Bathroom Facilities:
The bathroom was clean and modern, equipped with complimentary soaps and other toiletries.

Shisha Lounge:
There is an outdoor shisha lounge that gets very loud and rowdy at night. Fortunately, we were able to sleep despite the noise.

Room Service:

• Menu: The room service menu was quite limited and prices were high.
• Night Service: The night-time room service was not well organized, which was a letdown.

Overall Summary:
The Carlton Hotel offered a mixed experience. While there were some positives such as the polite staff, clean rooms, and modern amenities, there were also several areas needing improvement. The initial room allocation issue, limited breakfast hours, and the noisy shisha lounge detracted from our overall stay. With some attention to detail, this hotel could significantly enhance the guest experience.

The rooms are very small and we had an issue with the aircon. It kept leaking and giving a weird smell but the hotel was a really good location.

From my experience, the hotel's room, service and location are excellent. Carleton's reception staff are very helpful and smiling at your face always.

we stayed in the hotel for 10 nights. I can start with the positive. The hotel has a very good location. it is located in an area where there are many restaurants, ATM, baklawa shops and much more. the service in the hotel was also very good, especially from Ahmet. He recommended me hairdressers, restaurants, where to find a good Turkish hammam, and he helped a lot. the room was also very clean and was cleaned every day. the breakfast at the hotel was also very good. there was a lot of variation.
And now to the negative: There is very poor Wifi in the hotel. It says that the hotel has a well-equipped gym, but that is not true. they didn't have a gym. It is loud from the street where the hotel is located, but was quiet for a few days. something that was very unpleasant was the smell of smoke. employees in the hotel smoked, and after they received a complaint they continued to smoke. smoke came from the hallway to the room. but all in all, I'm satisfied. 7/10

Had perfect stay could not fault staff room little small but so clean and housekeeper was meticulous in ensuring we had everything required also the breakfast had everything anyone could want again with exception staff on our arrive we were met by reception staff and our luggage taken to our room by Farack the young man at the desk who was very polite and helpful would definitely stay there again

Ahmet was the best person at this Hotel! He was so helpful with all my questions and was eager to help us. He made our stay a lot more enjoyable and we would come again for his hospitality!! 😆

Good location, friendly staff, clean but small rooms. Pool area had an unpleasant smell by the lockers. 4 stars overall.

The hotel is well located in the city, It is a clean hotel, the rooms are equipped, thank you very much to the reception staff who are pleasant, thank you very much especially to Mrs Güleser kilzilcabel, Mr Faraç, Mr Ahmed, Mr Hüseyin, and mr abdelkadir. I recommend it to you
