A great hotel. The room was very spacious & cool when we walked in from the summer heat! The beds were comfortable, but a little high off the ground. This height may be difficult for kids or some others to enter the bed. The armchair with footstool and small kitchen table were very nice to have as well. The only complaints that I could have would be about the bathroom. The room that contained the toilet and shower was tiny and the shower drained very slowly. All in all, a very clean & modern place to stay. Also, no fridge or microwave are in the room.

Claridge house is located close to Chicago History Museum and couple blocks to shoreline of Lake Michigan, many nice restaurants in walking distance and easy to Uber around. The building is old fashioned and very nice, front desk staff is very professional and friendly. I reserved a room with two queen beds, which is nice and clean with a very spacious bathroom. There is valet parking next door, expensive but kind of reasonable with the location. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Very good localisation, nice lobby nice staffs BUT was disappointed about the room, we stayed 4 nights and no one came in 5 days to clean the room

it was very friendly and comfortable. The staff were helpful and kind. They went out of their way to make us feel at home.
The hotel was in an excellent position for all the things we want ed to do. Close to bars Resturant shops theatres and transport.

The rooms were much smaller than pictured/expected. Wallpaper is starting to come off the wall and a few stains on the carpet but otherwise clean and neat. Service/counter breakfast lady in the morning was either overwhelmed or just did not want to be there. She was rude to several people but in her defense there was a long line to get coffee or juice and she was the only one behind the counter. I would recommend the place to a friend but I would also tell them what to expect.

The hotel is in an excellent location, clean, and has all the amenities one would need for a short stay. There are some nice touches, like the water pitcher by the lobby with lemon and orange slices, and free umbrellas that guests can use if it's raining.

Location was great--close to the red line. Stayed in a single room, not very spacious but it was clean. Building is old and sketchy. Wish the staff was friendlier. If they were, experience would have been better.

Stayed here over the weekend on a deal from Hotwire. Comfy beds, spacious room and accessible to everything I need. My only issue was the bathroom being way to small. You can barely get to anything without the door being in the way. Overall good experience. The gym was under renovation but I’ll be back as soon as that’s done!

I'm giving 5 stars because it has what you need and it's CLEAN!!! The price is right. It's small but your downtown and be honest your not there for the room. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Superb value for your money! Nice rooms. Clean and comfortable. VERY affordable for downtown Chicago. Walkable to good bars and restaurants. Parking is pricey, but if you're staying just here you shouldn't need to rent a car. CTA is around the corner.
