Club Quarters Hotel Wacker at Michigan,

Great hotel, around the corner from the magnificent mile the place to be. Rooms are comfortable great coffee lounge on the second floor. Pedro and Ray were amazing in reception I would highly recommend this place great price and will definitely be coming back next time in Chicago

We just got back from a great two day trip to the big city! We stayed at the Club Quarters Wacker at Michigan for the first time. When I tell you this place is in the perfect location, I mean it! The hotel is located directly across the street from one of the stairways to get down to the River Walk where you will find lots of great bars, restaurants, and views of the city/river. The hotel is in walking distance to Millennium Park, Michigan Ave. shopping, and so many other amazing attractions that the city has to offer! We opted to skip the high price parking in the hotel parking deck and parked off-site at the Prudential building parking (which was very confusing to find but worth it because we saved money). Each floor of the hotel had a station with water bottles and filtered water, which was very nice!

Other reviews mention how small the rooms are, and I definitely agree. Our room had a full size bed that left about 10 inches from the wall on each side. Although the room was tiny, we didn’t mind. There was plenty of room for my husband and I, our duffle bags, and our shopping bags! This hotel was built in the late 1920s so we weren’t expecting to be blown away at the accommodations; however, a little bit of updating and better cleaning does go a long way. There was something brown smeared on the ceiling in the bathroom which we told ourselves was chocolate… maybe. My husband spilled water on the floor so he soaked it up with a towel. The towel was a nice shade of brown and gray after soaking up the water.

The hotel is made up of two different hotels which are on opposite sides of the lobby. The Club Quarters side had one functioning elevator. The elevator is very tiny and can only fit about 8 people at a time. We found ourselves waiting quite awhile at times considering there were over 30 floors in the hotel. One of the guests mentioned they had waited almost 40 minutes at one point for the elevator.

The hotel staff were nice and helpful. Even though this wasn’t the fanciest or most updated of hotels, we would definitely stay here again given the prime location.

The location is amazing. Like the check in and everyone at registration was kind and helpful. There was an elevator down however it just meant more impromptu conversations were had. The only negative was housekeeping. They knocked on my door at 9:30 while I was preparing to check out. They let me know if I don't want to be disturbed, to put the sign up. I let them know I'm about to vacate to which they mechanically replied the same thing. I appreciate their message, but the cold not even acknowledging I said something was a damper on my stay. It's all about approach and that wasn't approachable at all.

Great hotel. Fantastic location and excellent price. Rooms were small, but that is expected in this area, and the low price made it totally worth it. Very clean. Helpful staff.

Our stay was overnight for two nights, a second honeymoon. We got one of the smaller rooms. Which was cozy and sufficient but without much in the way of extras. The location is great, central to several eateries and the magnificent mile, and millennium and grant parks. Would stay here again.

4 day stay at this hotel and it was nice. The room, although small, was clean and comfortable. Descent view and within walking distance of a variety of places to eat. A few nice amenities include continental breakfast foods (fruit, oatmeal, coffe/tea), after 5 wine service in a common area, refillable water stations (clean bottles available), and easy check-in/check out process. I will certainly stay at another Club Quarters hotel.Thanks

Had a great stay! Loved the smaller room size and beautiful views of the river. The free snacks and drinks in the living room were very nice and appreciated. Restaurant staff were attentive and generous and deep dish pizza was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.
